The Broad Way verses The Narrow Way

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." (Revelation 20:12)

I had rather believe the truth of the Almighty God, Jehovah, The Creator of heaven and earth than the foolishness of some who have it all figured out, that there is no Almighty God.

Everything is being recorded! The Books (plural) will be opened. And, another Book, (singular) will be opened.

Reminds me of that which is declared in the book of Matthew

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13,14)

I don't know maybe this should have been posted in the "prediction" catagory. The above verses compliment each other. Too the sea of humanity this may not sit well with their beliefs. Makes no difference. The Word of God is still truth!

It is because that many will go the way that is "broad" which is the way to destruction, that it will take "Books" (plural)

And, because that few will find the way that leads to life it will only take a single book that records the names of those who have entered by the strait gate and narrow way.

Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God is the way, the truth, and the life! He is the narrow way which leads to life.

Why do many believe their own wicked heart, when the way, the truth and the life is clearly revealed in the Holy Bible.

Oh, I know how that many do not believe the Bible to be Holy or the Word of God!
Well that is going to be the main reason why the broad way is so broad. Because man is so much smarter than God, right?

I also know that the pleasures of sin is going to be what keeps many from getting on the other road. Too much fun, huh?

Conspiracy to get people to act a certain way? NO! It is commanded of us to repent, turn from sin, believe and confess that Jesus Christ is alive and The Way that leads to life.

Find your own way if you want. There are only two roads and the many other ways that people find other than the narrow way, well they will all converge at the end which is destruction and will all be judged when the "books" (plural) are opened.

You had better think about it good and hard, but don't take too long, the time is at hand! Many will trust their own wicked hearts.

The enemy of our souls does not want the masses on the right road. So they remain decieved into staying on the "broad way"

I will say this much, being agnostic myself. I am not totally convinced that the bible is true, but not convinced it isn't. I do think however, if true, has been very mis-used and/or misinterpreted over much time.

Anyway, can you shed any insight onto why you think that SO much time has passed, so many generations, and still no return like he said? I mean besides just the old "all in god's time" line, i wan't to know some ideas, some personal thoughts on it from people - not the same old tired lines.

Because, you know, it's been around 2000 years and really all we have is a book.

If the choice is between walking a tight rope and having a leisurely stroll down the beach I don't need to tell you that many people are going to be beach goers - myself included.

The only thing that makes staying a Christian hard is having to constantly beat the beliefs back into your head. On a regular basis you have to feed from the mouth of madness - unless you want reality to sink in.

The way is narrow and yet Jesus says his yoke is easy and his burden is light...

That is the strict Christian view.
And I believe it is completely valid.
But so are the views of many other truly spiritual religions, beside Christianity.

Myself, I believe there are a multiplicity of "narrow ways" to God.
Many indigenous people have never heard of Jahova or read the Bible.

But many have ageless spiritual wisdom and tradition that outshines many Christians.

As the Bible says, in God's house are many mansions, and race, gender, or skin colour will not exclude anyone.
It is not for Christians alone.
Something many priests and religious leaders fail to understand.

Some have it figured out that what we call God is only the Aware Energy of our "Local Universe" and not some "Male Being" with destructive tendencies like Bloodthirst, Egomania, Hatreds and a pathetic NEED to Enforce Worship.. which a Real 'God' would not have as they are very much Human Traits only.

And much closer to the concept of 'God' as an Aware Energy.. The Universe, that some people through direct communion with it have come to learn and try then to share with those who are blinded by Indoctrinated Belief-System Attachments.

The Christians armor doesn't do much good running away. The helmut, the breastplate, the shield, they are for protection for the heart and mind.

The sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, the Christians only offensive weapon in this spiritual warfare speaks for itself. Some will hear and believe, some will not.

Do I have the answers for all the questions? I don't think so! I just know that the promise God made that there would be a savior for fallen man was fulfilled by the gift of His Son, Jesus (Yashua), who was the only one crucified and raised from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Almighty.

As far as any inquiries concerning what has been stated here in this thread, I cannot answer for others, but I will attempt to respond to any inquiries to what I stand on. I just need a writing in the sand moment.

My heart is not to offend. So I am slow to speak. In the end the sheep will hear His voice and will follow The Way, The Truth, The Life. Cannot speak for the goats.

I will have 3 or 4 hours later too follow-up with other thoughts on this matter and the comments made by others.

By the way to be a follower of The Lord Jesus Christ is not a life of walking a tight rope. The Christian does his/her best to live a life walking in love with the ability to do so given to the believer by the gift of Holy Spirit of which the non-believer does not possess.

The truth of the Word of God is foolishness to those who have not the spirit of life and who do not believe. But, just because some believe it to be foolish does not mean that the Word of God is not truth!

"The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

Without the Shield of Faith and the Breastplate of Righteousness to guard the heart, there will be many pierced with many sorrows.

And, as a last thought for the moment, the "righteousness" that I speak of above is not "self righteousness." It is the gift of righteousness given by the Righteous one, The King of Kings! It is His righteousness living in the Christian.

I think its a statement about how powerless God is. If it was God's will that we all go to Heaven we would all go to Heaven, to suggest that the limited free will we enjoy as humans trumps God's perfect will is absurd. If there is a loving and merciful God all shall be in the Book of Life or else God shall fail.

Reread the new testament, they were SURE even then that Christ's return was imminent. Every generation since has believed exactly the same thing. This keeps pews full on Sunday by scaring people into belief using vague prophecies they are too gullible to see through.

OK! Even though there may be certain ones who have taken it upon themselves to disect practically every word in my posts, I suppose so as to feel good and/or elevate themselves somewhat, at least in their own mind, I feel others are genuinally interested.

To some, ATS is a playground where disecting is a game but, I am not here to play. To those who disagree with my thoughts, then disagree. Disect away! Does not bother me!

One who is unlearned in spiritual matters is obvious to those who are skilled in truth. Some are still drinking milk when they should be eating the meat of the Word of God. Some are still in spiritual pampers when they should be walking in the robe of righteousness leading others to The Righteous One instead of dis-ing The One who died for them.

That said, my intent then as was inquired, is to shed some light on where we are at. What road then, whether it be the narrow or broad is a matter of choice. Some may want to consider taking an exit, to get on the right road. The ONLY roadmap to The Way, The Truth and The Life, Jesus Christ, is the road that he blazed for us to The Father as it is revealed in The Holy Bible, The Word of God. Of course, one would need to become skilled in The Word by studying, to rightly divide The Word of God so as not to be ashamed.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing THE WORD OF TRUTH." (2 Timothy 2:15) EMPHASIS ADDED

As I stated earlier: "Jesus said he was coming quickly." 2,000 years is quick compared to eternity. Jesus Christ is not a lier!

The arrogancy of some will only be tolerated to a certain point. I am afraid that many will be ashamed in the end.

Before I share my thoughts about why I believe the end of this present age is imminent, I must remind some of this great truth.

"But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness." (1 Thessaloinians 5:1-5)

Did you catch that? The born-again children of God are not in darkness, that that day should overtake us as a thief, as it will those who are living in darkness, blind to the truth!

Now I am going to ask that the reader here be kind because, the following is only my thoughts on where we are at and what is in our near future. If it is a thus says The Lord, I would say so. But, because I am a child of The Living God, I am not blind and, the holy spirit living on the inside of the believer reveals truth that otherwise cannot be known or understood to those who do not give a rats behind about spiritual matters.

There are indicators in the physical realm which do mark that which was spoken as the spirit of God revealed. There are signs that we are living in the last days of this age before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, that other times the event was not possible as it is now. Here is what I see. And, I know others see it as well. Remember, I ask you be kind.

1. Israel was born a nation again in one day in 1948

2. Israel is God's timeclock for the end of this age. A generation is 70 Years.

3. The generation alive at the birth of the fig tree nation (Israel) will not pass until the coming of the Lord.

4. The enemies of Israel that immediatly surround Israel at this moment are the peoples as listed in the upcoming Psalms 83 war.

5. Damascus will soon be a ruiness heap.

6. Russia, Iran, and Turkey and other allied peoples will immediatly after the Psalms 83 war attack Israel.

7. At no other time was it possible to destroy the earth until now with nuclear technology. The Bible says unless those days were shortened that no flesh would be saved. Mankind is on the brink of World War III

8. Will America survive? Did Sodom and Gommorah survive?

9. As it was in the days of Lot, so shall it be when the son of man (Jesus Christ) returns. The peoples of Sodom even tried to have sex with the Angels who had been dispatched there. Men with men and women with women are able to get by with this abomination at the present because of the age of grace that we live in, but the grace period is about over.

10. Will America survive? I don't think so when we have the Commander in Chief making July, Gay pride month. Where we have the Commander in Chief authorizing the funding of Abortions. There have been 50 million aborted babies. God is going to require some blood for the blood spilled.

11. Earthquakes in many places is prophesied to be taking place at the end of this age. Earthquakes are increasing.

12. There is talk of a polar shift. In the Book of Revelation during the last 7 years, The Word of God speaks of all of the islands fleeing and the nations and the mountains falling. It speaks of an earthquake so great and so mighty that there has never been one like it. Do you think a polar shift might have something to do with it? Or maybe our Solar system lining up with the Milkyway is connected to the perfect timing of God.

13. Men shall be lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. Reminds me of all the partying going on. The revelry, drunkeness, drugging.

14. As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be when the son of man (Jesus Christ) comes. In the days of Noah the mixing of DNA is why God had to destroy the earth. That is what is going on now tinkering with God's creation by mixing the DNA of man with animals, plants etc...

15. Before I run out of room on this post I have to mention the prince and power of the air. "Beelzebulb" Satan the lord of those who fly. UFO's are manifestations of fallen angels who have manipulated physical matter and pose as our brothers from other planets. It is a lie. It is deception to introduce the Antichrist.

16. The technology for the implementation of the mark of the beast is in place.

17. The world is crying for a New World Order and a One World Authority. Guess who that will be!

18. Look at all the disaters, including the Gulf of Mexico!

No more room! WAKE UP!

I can feel tensions are high in the earth. Satan knows his time is short. This is a warning from a watchman on the wall. Please do not misconstrue this to be a doom and gloom or fear mongering.

This generation is about to see the final 7 years before the coming of Jesus Christ himself to chain up that old serpent for 1,000 years. But before that he is awful mad. I hope that we are all ready to meet The King of Kings. Each in their own turn. Judgement begins in the House of the Lord.

It looks like the Nations of the Earth are ready to spend some more money on killing.

Maybe God will have to shake some sense into us. God can part the sea, I am sure He has not opened up His full arsenal until the Seal, Trumpet and Bowl Judgements.

Thats why I am challenging whomever to go to and read and believe and do what is offered in Romans 10:9,10

Salvation is free! It is by grace (undeserved favor) that we are saved.

None of us are good enough to be saved.

You will be glad you are!

Its not about me. Its about the impressionable people your words will mislead. Its about the billions of people throughout history who have been robbed of everything, material, spiritual, their very lives, by people SCARING THE # out of them.

Tell me when was the last time a war was fought in the name of music, or even sport? These evil things that draw people away from the lord, yet religion has slaughtered billions of people?

We were put on this earth, with certain abilities. Why the hell would a god create us this way and then condemn us to hell for being what he created? What is the point of being intelligent if we are forbidden from using it? What is the point in pleasure if we are forbidden from it?

Without the interference of "god" the human race would have by now figured out how to go further into the universe and spread our seed. We have the means and ability to do such a thing, yet religion has ensured we will remain trapped and enslaved.

It amazes me how christians like you profess to be preaching the "good news". If the the slaughter of billions and decimation of the planet is good news, then id hate to see bad news.

Salvation is free yes, but you certainly are not offering it. You are offering death and destruction if people dont follow your words.

Look, I didn't write the book. God is the Author. Until the enemy of our soul, who is Satan the Devil is cast into the Lake of fire, there will be death and destruction. Why doesn't someone put the blame where it is due. He has done a good job deceiving people into putting the blame on the one who does nothing but love. God is Love but he is the one who gets all the hate.

Yes I believe I do know what I am doing. I am doing what I have been commissioned to do, to go and preach the good news of salvation that is in Christ Jesus.

It is called the Ministry of Reconciliation. So that the fallen race of mankind can be reconciled back to God. I don't know why the Christian gets the blame for what happened in the Garden of Eden.

Jesus Christ is the second Adam who came to pay for the sins of the whole world by giving his life for us.

And people get mad about that!!!!!!!!
