Lets assume that they have these. Are they ship mounted? Can they be fired from the sea floor? Vehicle mounted? On the shores? hmmm.. I wonder if we will be carpet bombing that shoreline? I have no doubt that iran will fight back... I just feel IMO they CAN NOT shut down that strait. They will try... even if they do fire one of those 22's... Our phlaynx will take those out NO PROBLEM!!!!! Believe me .. I hope they put up a better fight than Iraq/Afgh. I just dont think they can.

Is it possible, if the Fascists government ruling the Iranian people with an Iron fist, were taken out of the picture as a radical Islamic threat to the whole middle east. The funds and arms the
Iranian government supply's to Al-Qaeda, and other terrorist groups causing havoc all over the world, might just dry up.

Think about how safer the world would sleep at night, if with this action. A large portion of the more advanced terrorist camps sponsored as well as residing inside the country were destroyed.

I do not have rose colored glasses on, nor do I believe this action would not be filled with pit falls. However, maybe it is time for the Iranian people to have the right to inhale a little of freedoms sweet air...

Just rocky mountains, not any desert there. US really should not underestimate the challenge what they are thinking to take... Iran is no third world country.

There will be sunken US ships, downed aircrafts and helicopters - there will be blood in the fields, and 10 million people army against USraels limited forces.

If they EMP a few locations, it would cripple them pretty good. C&C centers, main power grids, communication, etc. It will be a 2 month bombing operation, just like Iraq. Then they can send in the butchers to cull out a few million 'dissidents'.

Agreed. I got to see the Straits of Hormuz up close and personal. It's a tight squeeze with an aircraft carrier The battle for Oceania will be tougher than they think. We're not hunting rebels in caves here. They could also have the homefield advantage.

Here's a blast from the past from one of the previous times we played this geopolitical chess match. I don't know if it's been posted.

I post it not so much for the commentary but more for a reminder of the activities going on then versus now. As I and many others keep saying, we've been here before. Lots of times in the past 10 years.

This also refers to the SCO I mentioned previously. And alludes to the alliances between Iran and Russia and China. This changes on the surface based on the economic and military sanctions recently imposed on Iran that China and Russia are seemingly cooperating with. However, should Iran be attacked, all bets would be off.

The thing that strikes me as really funny is the fact that many people are saying Iran doesn't have or isn't trying to get nukes! How the heck are we to know? Iran isn't even fully cooperative with IAEA inspectors and they hid one of their plants in a freaking mountain and told nobody about it until discovered. Iran's military poses almost no risk to US forces. I'm not sure what you are even rambling on about. No one is worried about Iran's military. It's Russia and China, which scare the US.
