WikiLeaks founder drops 'mass spying' hint

www.abc.net.au

WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange has given his strongest indication yet about the next big leak from his whistleblower organisation.

"I can give an analogy. If there had been mass spying that had affected many, many people and organisations and the details of that mass spying were released then that is something that would reveal that the interests of many people had been abused."

Whatever your stance on the Wikileaks issue this is certainly newsworthy. He also goes on to mention the "Echelon system" although he does not say the next leak will directly relate to this topic.

Although not spectacularly clear, its the clearest indication I've seen to date of what may be coming down the pike next. Something that impacts (and preseumably outrages) a variety of people.

sorry, I just beat you to it...

I got the video up and a transcript of his "mass spying" hint about an hour ago.

Good job, fine sir. Will head over there.

I believe according to terms and conditions we are allowed to post the same story in breaking news and elsewhere, but as far as I'm concerned we might as well discuss it all in your thread.

I hope this is about ECHELON.

I want to see what they know about us. Who they are watching. If it's the way I think it is. This will show how complicit the intelligence and financial sectors have been together and finally expose that they are working for the highest bidder.

You and me both. Also, may be just coincidence, but the recent post the
other day about the Internet Kill Switch got me thinking. If the information
Wiki has is that important, TPTB may just shut the whole pony ride down.
Wouldn't suprise me really. But the Idea of a True Free Worldwide Press
is Awesome. Cheers

OMG! DO you mean to say that Echelon is today's NEWS!

That system has been a working system since the 1960's
which is utterly OLD HAT where international faxes, emails
and phones calls were and ARE ROUTINELY MONITORED
for keywords or interesting data based upon the "Dictionairies"
provided by the countries that are part of the NSA-based
Echelon System.

See:

en.wikipedia.org...

If that's all he's got then I'm pretty dissappointed
because Echelon is a 40+ year bit of OLD HAT NEWS!

THIS message post ITSELF goes through a Bayesian/Boolean
logic engine housed in a couple of cabinets at various
junction points on the Internet and finally down into
"The Dungeon" at Ft. Meade for further HumInt analysis
if necessary depending upon content, so this AIN'T NEWS TO ME!

NOW if he was to disclose all the details on the software and
computer systems sabotage that DefSec Caspar Weinberger
authorized during the Reagan years when CPU Chips, Software,
and Machine Tools were "Somewhat Stolen" by Soviet Agents
for their own warfighting machine but which blew up some
nameless pipeline due to overpressure, or fudged some
machine tool paths during aircraft engine parts manufacture
or kinda added up the numbers wrong on floating point operations
during mission critical facets of missile launch
systems....WELL....that WOULD BE NEWS!!!!!

....OR....if it was disclosed that an almost perfectly triangular
wing-shaped craft with the same upper intake inlets as the
B2 bomber but much smaller and faster has been flying
around for almost two decades that would also be news.

Or if it was disclosed that weapons caches, SigInt gear
and some bucketloads of bribery cash is hidden
in some salt mines in Iran for the training and use
of local resistance groups that too would be news!

Or how about the details on that 100 MPH+ Super-cavitating
mini-sub that's being tested out at the Navy's version of Area-51
Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center or the 600 MPH
super-cavitating ultra-fast torpedo...that might pique my interest.

See:
en.wikipedia.org...

Or if you REALLY want get my goat, how about some more details
on that black box shown to Clinton in the early 90's during a demo
with the JCS which had to be explained in a most tedious and boring
manner which MAYBE unexplicably levitated or open a rift into the
time/space continuum OR hummed weirdly showcasing some
new electron capture for free energy OR showcased that
new RAD-proof diamond-substrate/silicon-on-sapphire
2 terahertz 80486 CPU that was specially manufactured
at DARPA or at the chip unit at NSA!

HEY I'M STILL WAITING for more info on that weird lightning
bolt plasma weapon tested on a beach in Oregon which nearly
killed those testers! And I NEED that info on those pathetic
attempts to infiltrate that underground city in the Urals
which is supposed be BETTER than Cheyenne or that cave
with the multiple 18-foot monitors in Puerto Rico!
I mean c'mon...bribing some food & beverage suppliers?
Ya don't think the GRU would checked that angle out?

NOPE I'm still waiting for the nitty gritty low-down details
on something I already don't know.....Hmmmm how about some
more info on the techs at NRO/LMCO who invented that
Active Mirror system with that new-fangled pixel-based
image content speculation software for the KH-photo recon
satellite replacements --- NO MORE DISTORTION and
superior IMAGE CLARITY....Now that's some INFO I could USE!

You know, this is the first time I have heard/considered the possibility that the internet kill switch could be implemented in an effort to hide from WikiLeaks.

Scary thought in my opinion.

As well, though I had read this story in the other thread, I didn't realize that he had mentioned ECHELON...

It has also been described as the only software system which controls the download and dissemination of the intercept of commercial satellite trunk communications.

Link

This could actually be huge...but I suppose we'll see...

Hello,

Long time lurker first time poster.

TPTB managed to kill the US president . If the wiki-leaks guy had anything concrete the government cared about he would have been dead before he even thought about posting info to his site. Im all about the good theory but please take a step back and examine the history of our country's secret keeping

sorry for the edit my grammar sucks

I am hoping that human decency (for lack of better terminology) trumps the attempt to keep the implications of an ever growing technology and its' proprietary use.

At some point, "The Powers That Be" will have something that just can't be agreed with by those whom are the eyes and ears so to speak.

If this is all about spying on the people than I will be disappointed! We ALL know that they watch what we do. The money we make, movies we watch, cars we drive and so on.

If Wikileaks tells us that the government has been spying on us will that change anything? Will anyone make a stand to change it? What would the masses do?

Bet they would go get an ice cream cone and watch American Idol. Move along people, nothing to see here.

WAIT!?!?! The government watches what we do and monitors our interations with technology?

...what's new? I thought we all knew this (NSA...

Can you imagine the chaos created by that very stupid last ditch effort to hide crimes?
The entire economic world would crash, there's so much done on the net now for data transfer the whole globe would freak out.
Business as we know it would cease.

Think theyd do that to themselves?

The whole idea of an "Internet Kill Switch" is laughable at best. There is no simple way to kill the internet. I bet my small bit of savings that the president has a switch that will either setup a deny any/any rule on the all of the nations ISPS or blow up key data centers in the US that handle most of our traffic. It is just another statement to throw us off the oil spill. Rest assured folks the internet will be alive and well long after we are all dead

If I could type just one post without massive grammar errors I would be a happy man.

um......I'm talking about the supposed internet kill switch, not just one location.
um? really? um?

(if i had super terrible info I could upload it from anywhere not just my office, it also ties into the rockefeller comment and fear of the internet from last year, you know certain people would like to see us mouth breathers remain ignorant and without information, and there will no doubt be an event that needs quelled, silenced, to someday keep us from being informed and rebelling, so with that said I was simply responding to what I highlighted in the relpy)

good luck to you and yours as well

I think the kill switch in reality is just a proggy to remap everyone's keyboard type to Dvorak
That would end the internet right quick.

Im pretty sure Obama's kill switch is as effective as his "change"

There is something strange and eerily telling about the objects in the photograph with Mr. WiliLeaks. (per link)

On the shelf to his LEFT....we see three objects. What do they represent?

On the top shelf we see an eagle statue. Does this represent government or military might? Also on top shelf, we see a gold crescent. I started noticing gold crescent logo's being more prominently used in commercial advertising about 2 years ago. Both of the items on the top shelf are located in the extreme corners.

On the bottom shelf there is an object which appears to be a replica of Moses tablet of the commandments.

3 objects. 3 frogs croaking. Government, commerce, religion.

What is Mr. WiliLeaks trying to tell us with these symbols????
