You are not allowed to touch a cop when they are arresting someone, unless they need assistance. This cop overreacted when he thought he was in danger of geting beat down by two girls. He should have tried to diffuse rather than control the situation, which would mean that he would have to use his mouth to talk and smile. Not many cops trained to do that nowadays.

If I was that cop. I wouldn't have punched her like he did. I would've put her in a wrist lock and proceeded to hand-cuff her. Same with the other one. I never once said the cop was right in punching the woman. I'm right when I say when a woman acts like a man? You treat her like one.

I think it's funny how many people think the officer apparently has psychic powers to tell ages without asking. And if she was a minor then the girl shouldn't have tried to physically separate them. And be glad she didn't get tased or pepper sprayed because those hurt a lot more and have more of a chance to seriously injure the one being subdued. People might not like the fact that someone got punched but a punch is one of the easiest and more gentle ways to make someone quit what they're doing. Not like he punched her and laid her down on the ground then continued to beat her.

Pushing someone's hands away is the gentler, albeit ineffective, way to dissuade an action. Even though she was clearly breaking the law, that's what the girl in pink was doing. She was not punching or even scratching or hair pulling for that matter. The officer was overwhelmed and over-reacted.
I'm not certain that he wouldn't have continued punching had he not been surrounded by a verbal crowd. It's not possible to predict what his actions would have been had he been able to subdue either girl. Check out the look on his face when she calls him "a weak ass bitch".

Since he was over-whelmed it was either a taser or pepper spray. Either of those would have been worse in my opinion. And people can't verify ages just by looks only. The whole "teen" argument is pointless since there was no way to know her age before hand. It would have all been avoided if the first girl just complied and listened to what the officer was saying as he called her over. It probably would have just ended up as a warning in the end. The two girls just escalated it to that point. Whether someone wants to choose sides in the "punching" area that's fine, it's mostly opinions on that anyways. But in the end, the girls are the source of the problem and are at fault for escalating it as far as they did.

Ya know, Izzy. I enjoy so many of your posts. I really enjoy many of the things you have to say and your sense of humor. I starred a lot of your posts in just a couple of threads for what I thought were quite insightful and well thought out posts.

I also learned something about you. You respond in kind. When people say something rational, you respond that way. When they say something stupid, you are usually funny. When they are ridiculously braggadocious, you puff up bigger. That being said, I am puzzled.

I was just admiring your humorous joke of not seeing the same video as others even tho it was obviously the same one.

I took your joke an ran with it, your joke and point were good mine was bad due to my lake of sleep from haggling with people who justify police brutality against children.

I call this police brutality because I as a law abiding citizen can not strike a child in the face with out myself facing a Nazi Cop who is charged with the Job of tossing my butt in jail for doing what this Meter Maid did in the video.

No the hermaphrodite in the video although obviously weak was definitely not skinny. You see one of the problems of steroid abuse, especially with cops who only have half a half of a ball sack and a vagina is that they run the risk of something known through out the bodybuilding community as NUTLOCK.

What happens during Nut Lock is you still maintain the big body of a man or in this Meter Maids case Half a man, but you lack the natural testosterone secreted by the nut sack with TWO balls in it that enables the big body to actually use it's strength. The urge to have intercourse with a woman is totally lost and you inevitably end up viewing them as a rival or competition. impotency is another side effect of nut lock caused by over use of illegal steroid abuse.

There are plenty of good candidates, i'm sure there are plenty of good hermaphrodites with half a half of a ball sack that would do a great job as a meter maid. I think the problem is the hiring standards of the meter maid union society of America.

I do not know but I do not seem him dressed as a woman or any evidence of dual genitalia. I also fail to see how no matter how wrong he may be, that is any kind of response.

Well like I said I was a cab driver for 5 years. Try driving cab for a while, eventually you'll pick up a lesbian who you confuse with a drill Sargent with a buzz cut and a swing blade. How many people should be allowed to attack a cop before he can lawfully react? What level of force should be allowed against an officer conducing an arrest? Since she was a lowly female not able to take a punch as you seem to think, should any female be allowed to use any kind of force against any cop? How about weapons? What makes a weapon and where is the line between you crawling into a ball and you attempting to not die?

Screaming in pain and crying like a little girl is a reaction. no one is saying the cop had no right to react to the girl pushing him. I'm just saying that Knocking her teeth out is a bit unprofessional, especially for a meter maid with nut lock yet with out the swing blade.

Which reminds me, it really seems hypocritical to attack the manliness of the cop after explaining your brave tactic of playing patato bug when a girl hits ya.

Yeah...but you are not a state trooper. And the teenager was out of line, but I suppose the judge will decide that.

Not yielding to the law leads to anarchy. Laws are not decided by random people who don't agree with them...that is anarchy. She broke the law and it probably isn't her first issue with problems with authority.

From what I understand the cop has been reassigned. I bet he didn't threaten violence against his commanders because he doesn't agree with the decision, but instead accepted the decision. Down the road perhaps he'll get back on track with his career. That is how you function in society. Its obvious that you don't know this because you are obviously governed by your passion. What your spouse does for a living is irrelevent...when weighed against the opinions you've expressed.

Doesn't really matter...if that girl isn't punished, she'll have many more run-ins with the law...maybe the next encounter one won't go as well for her.

And if he had grabbed her wrist and taken her to the ground people like you would be complaining. I posted earlier in this thread about the dangers police face every day and how quick they have to respond. Unfortunately a lot of people choose to see hatred for cops or some 1950's sense of chivalry instead of understanding a little something called reality.

Its not about gender or age or race...no matter how much the posters who are governed by their passions want it to be. It's about an out of control child. From what I've been reading, police officials are saying the cop could have used more force. Most of you have no point.

Please don't raise your daughters to believe that they can front on authority and not suffer severe consequences...they'll live a longer and happier life.

My point was that 1 hand on the neck, whether it be the side front or back, is in no way shape or form a means of restraining someone who is standing.

I misunderstood your previous post. I didn't realize that you were saying that he wasn't restraining her properly, I thought that you were saying that he was trying to harm her.

I think that in that part of the tape he wasn't trying to restrain her, I think that's when he was trying to get her to go back to the squad.


I don't think he lacked confidence in his arrest. To me it looked like he was scared because he was alone and out numbered. Also it looked like that girl was just a little too strong for him.

I am in no way saying that the risk they face is an excuse for misconduct. I'm saying that I don't think it was misconduct.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

What we have here is a cop who is not properly trained to confront and restrain people and people who are conditioned to not cooperate with authority.

This isn't really a big deal, and would not be if it wasn't so racial sensitive Getting punched once isn't a big deal, she was not even bleeding, and its not like she was significantly smaller(indeed she might be the same size as that cop) He should not have let the situation escalate, but that is not the proper way to act towards a cop.

If we want cops to follow the rules there are certain things we have to do as citizens to make their jobs easier. That includes being courteous. Anybody who knows anything about dealing with cops is that being uncooperative will quickly land you in a situation like .

It's a really fine line and I would encourage people to make their communities safer by organizing neighborhood watches and encouraging liaisons between said groups and local police departments.

If you live a small community where your policing is subcontracted out to a large city or county then work to assert more local control over your police department.
