I am not a big internet useage person/follower but I couldn't help but notice the pic above when I was moving around the ATS pages.

What struck me though was that it was just like 2250 about 2 months ago. That seems like a huge jump to me.

Regardless, I think it is great for the Members, Staf and vistors. Keep up whatever you all are doing as it seems to be working!!!

That's happening because of the oil spill and the other news from the Middle East. Members come here for their news. I remember not so far back that when an Admin thread was sent to those that had been online in the last month it was around 8000. It's almost 14,000 now. Take a bow guys, it's YOU that are providing the news to the people.

ATS rules, though that jump could be explained by the oil spill as well. People are flocking here because A) we are tin foil hat wearing bad asses and B) they are looking for alternative news about the spill, knowing deep down they are not being told the truth by the the media. And in this case, perhaps the first time in the history of ATS, it's not ENTIRELY the media's fault for not covering something adequately.

Very impressive, congrats ATS.

I have a few friends, really one in particular and it irks the hell out of me, that after all these years still gives the old eye roll whenever I mention this site. He refuses to accept the fact that ATS is more than just far out conspiracy talk, hopefully these numbers will help nudge him in the right direction.

Enough about me, keep up the good work everyone.

That's pretty cool. Considering the millions of loved websites around the world, being within 5000 is a huge milestone.

It could happen. One unique thread on an important topic, where the original source of the information is exclusive to ATS, and then followups from the "discloser" are released thru ATS only, for MSM to pick up. Can you imagine reading a MSM article online or in the newspapers, or on TV that listed "Source: AboveTopSecret.com" other than a press release from ATS promoting the site? The site would explode with traffic...although not sure how much the ATS servers can handle at one time.

One can only imagine, but anything is possible, and I for one would be grinning from ear to ear if that ever happened.

As far as the site making it to under 100. Hmmm. I doubt it. Too many porn sites to beat-I bet.

This is the highest we have ever been. I have been keeping an eye on it for quite a while and before this it was 1768 back in November and it wasn't that long ago we were up in the low 2000's.

How fluid are the numbers. Do they change daily, weekly, hourly?

I just happened to catch it out of the corner of my eye, as I last remember seeing it up into the 2000's.

I think the Stats should be made more of a priority-more visible displayed. Nothing to hide or mask here.

I like to look at them once in a while but would more often if they were more visable. Kinda has to catch your eye now.

The numbers change once a day. That quantcast widget used to be at the bottom of every page on the board but it was causing slow load times due to some technical issue so SO moved it off of them and just to the site home page. that was about 5 months ago.

I was checking it about once every three four days for a while as we had a slow down through the winter and climbed back into the low 2000's where we stayed for the last several months. Biggest number I remember was about 2300 or so.'
