Israel has no intention of letting supplies through that would let the Palestinians prosper.

They wont even let them export goods to make a living. That's right, not restricted imports for security, we are talking about exports. Why , they want to keep the Palestinians living on $2 a day to keep them physically weak. Nice passive aggressive way of killing them off.

The RC crew have every reason not to trust them. Go the Irish.

I think both sides would benefit under that announcement by the Israeli Navy. Seems fair, Rachel Corrie docks, delivers aid on land under the crew's watch and then they go home. Sounds ok, but is it ok to follow Israels commands?

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Well if you are committed to personally handing cargo to Gaza, then is it ok to hand it over to their enemy? I wouldn't think so.

Assuming that nothing negative happens during the transfer it would benefit both sides.

They certainly are doing a good job making Israel look bad by jumping in front of Israeli bullets and bull-dozers while having their people starve themselves to death. Away with you troll, this thread is about the Rachel Corrie.

Ohhh wait, wait, so you expect them to just watch while they punish, and lock 1.5 million people, continually occupy, continually expand settlements, continually commit warcrimes, continually break international laws, continually kill activists, unarmed people, unarmed civilians, unarmed kids, sexually abuse Palestinians kids...

I could go on, but then you would say, hey non of that would happen if Hamas would just stop firing home made fire works towards Israel.

I could go on, but what is the point, you can just use the magic word "anti-Semite" and I will crawl back to where I came from.

I could go on, but what is the point, you can just use the magic word twice "anti-Semite", "anti-Semite", and VETO!!!

Go spread your propaganda somewhere else, we are more informed than that.

We Deny Ignorance.

You are an insult to all those who are suffering due to man made disasters. These humanitarians are risking their lives to help, they can pick up arms and their countries can also and start a war which could affect you and the rest of the world.

But they know better.

Listen I hate Israel as much as all of you do, however could we please keep the Pro and Anti propaganda out of this thread as this is a developing story that will just clutter everything and confuse everything. I'm not trying to play mod, I just don't want to sift through pages and pages of irrelevant crap for developments surrounding the Rachel Corrie.

Rachel Corrie Equipment jammed

The IPSC has been contacted by the MV Rachel Corrie in the past few minutes. Jenny Graham reported that they had been followed by Israeli ships for about 2 hours, and that in the last few minutes 2 ships were approaching from the port side.
Ms Graham said that equipment on board had been jammed by the Israeli navy, and that they expected their satellite phone (number below) to be jammed soon as well. The line was bad, and we were unable to determine the exact location of the Rachel Corrie relative to their destination

A little off topic, but I believe this is the second time LittleSecret has yelled or cursed the wrong person. Pretty sure they told me to F'off earlier in the thread, no big deal though.

I second keeping this thread directed at what is happening with the RC and not, arguing/propaganda between members.

I have posted this many times and I know you have seen it because you and your mates have been in every thread...

The activists made it clear from the onset that their aim was to
BREAK THE ILLEGAL BLOCKADE IMPOSED BY ISRAEL ON THE GAZA POPULATION.

They clearly advertised this well in advance..That is their aim...

Not to surrender their cargo so Israel can take out all the "so called dangerous stuff like concrete and pencils" but to create a clear, legal route to get aid to a starving population in need of rebuilding materials and medicine etc.

The motives of these activist is to bring into public view the lack of humane treatment of non combative civilians in the Gaza Strip. There is nothing wrong with the blockade IF and ONLY IF Israel assumes humanitarian responsibility for the people there. Israel has not accepted the conditions per the Geneva Convention.

I believe that is the ulterior motive of which you speak.

Guess what.. I think it's working.. ^_^

If you wish to speak further on Israel's actions dealing with the Gaza Strip, please find an appropriate thread. This thread is about the Rachel Corrie.

and where is the rachel corrie going to right now, the gaza strip, so this does involve the gaza strip, it is about the actions being taken there right now, why the blockade is in place and the history around it. hamas is just going to use these ships as shipment routes for arms once they are able to. they are just playing victim right now. i used to be a third party aid worker in the area, i seen what egypt, israel and hamas were doing on a day to day basis. this aid workers right to enter without going through an inspection is a rediculous demand on a legal blockade, which is cooped with egypt
