Hello evrybody. I believe the oil spill could eventually kill all the water in the ocean. This would mean 90 procent of all the oxygen will dissapear.
I believe it will also destroy 90 procent of the food and water supplies.
ITs obvious 2 me that the msm is knowingly covering up the APOCCALPSTIC size of this oil spill.
IM reaaly afraid this is the long awaitet false flag and its nastier and more evil few could have ever imagined.
This is my call 2 all of u people with a hart left 2 take up arms against these liars..
We must stop this attack on humanit by ANY MEANS NECCESARY ,or suffer the consquences. witch will be starvation of mostly anything on this planet.
chechk this video 4 reference
and please forgive me 4 the poor english its not my first language

I've seen no credible evidence that the BP disaster is an ELE type of event. Until someone can rationally explain to me how this could possibly wipe out "90% of air" , I will continue to think otherwise.

This would not be good. This could have some serious negative effects

u r wright its not the air but the alge or plankton that lives in the ocean
this provides almost 90 procent of our oxygen
if u know that it will spill oil 4 months -at leasst- 2 come and u look at the size of the oil spill in the link i provided it is likely it will kill about 1 3rd of the plankton
or more and thus reducing the amount of oxygen 4 us 2 breathe dramaticly then the rain will make evrythin acid thus no more food that can grow.and so on. And it could be much worse .
I could prove it 2 u but i aint gotr htat kinda time
and if u dont get wats going on well maybe u deserve this

Us smokers will be ok because we're used to a reduced oxygen intake.

The sea only produces 70 - 80 % of oxgen but it is still a vast amount that we cannot afford to lose, especially with our lust for resources!

I read that the ocean gives us about 60 percent of the oxygen in our air. I don't think anyone is able to predict how much of the ocean will be without oxygen, depends on how long this thing keeps gushing, I guess. Not sure how that will translate into the air's oxygen levels, we need a mathematician/scientist here, although it does sound like it could be really bad. The trees and other green plants will help out somewhat, it is definitely an extinction level event for many species of ocean life and birds. As far as people go,

Who did these graphic estimates?
Shouldn't there be some point were the oil well has run dry and there is no more oil which can be released.

And what evidence is there that an oil film would kill of all algae?

Lol, calm down, its bad....but not apocalyptic. One oil spill, will not destroy the earth, or water or air on a global scale.....locally though, yes, its a terrible blow to the eco system.

Also, are you trying to organise an armed uprising here? Thats kind of against the T & C's I think

And btw, its trees that produce the majority of oxygen, not the ocean. in fact the majority of oxygen is actually created by algae and marine plants, not the ocean itself

Sorry to point out the obvious but where does the figure of all the sea algi being killed come from because during the earths history many underwater lakes of oil would had leaked to the sea like when an astroyed hits and yet life continued.

On averge the sea is about 2 miles deep and the slick is like 1mm think and yes i know it could block sunlight was it not for waves breaking the surface up.

Pull the other one.

Life as you know it is about to under go major change.

it's the economy stupid.

Hear what you say and I understand that english isnt your normal language (as it isn't of many adolescents today) .

Instead you type in almost text speak - this isn't the typing of a person who doesn't speak English - this is deliberate misspellings of English words you obviously know - but not phonetically but just misspelt.

I smell a troll here.

Oh and text speak is against the T&Cs

I wouldn't worry too much. This is not even the worst oil spill in world history. It will be contained and dealt with eventually, though it is sure to have locally devastating effects far into the future.

Apocalipstick? Sorry, that one made me chuckle.

The way you type makes it sound like English is your first language. No one who's first language isn't English would use '2' in place of 'to'. Unless you learned English from text messages then I'm pretty sure English is your first language. Not to mention the use of 'u' in place of 'you' and 'r' in place of 'are'.

There's also your faulty logic that an oil spill will be, as you so eloquently put it, "APOCCALPSTIC". That's something that could only be learned in an American public school.

Nobody deserves the type of scenario you lay out. In fact, it this one sentence alone tells me all I need to know about you. You're an arrogant know it all, that thinks the average person is below you. This hubris blinds you to the truth. You desperately want something horrific to happen so that you can point and say, "see, I was right, you're all dumb" !! Plenty on ATS are the exact same. Seen that, done with it. Get a life.

I am well aware that the ocean's algae provide anywhere from 50-90% if the earths air. Are you aware how many gallons of water are in all the oceans? 343 sextillion. Are you aware how many gallons of oil are in the gulf? Millions. It's not even in the same league. It's not an ELE. You aren't even talking about the methane, which is a bigger deal. It seems you are uninformed, while attempting to spread disinfo.

Regardless of the OP's grammer.

Stuff I read lately:
Nigeria is another spill even bigger than the gulf,
there life expectancy has dropped to approx 40 years
Obamacare can't afford that.

One Quart of oil toxifies 250 gallons of water.
millions times 4 times 250 =1000 millions,
did I here right- the flow could continue till xmas?

The food chain is very vulnerable to this sort of thing
The economy is already fragile in the potentially affected areas
how many 5 mile deep holes do we have to compare this to?

glad I live where the water flows out to the sea

Thanks for providing an informed response. I agree this is by no means going to be affecting the oceans globally. Locally, yes obviously.

There is no denying the oil leak is a huge disaster, but not on the scale the OP states. OP as I have found out firsthand with you in your accusations to me by u2u's, even when you are clearly mistaken, you don't admit it. Instead you laugh and yell "liars" as if you alone possess the truth.

If you can prove this will result in global death, then I will apologize. But proof is needed. I think I may be waiting a long time.
