Turkish Navy will Escort aid to Gaza

where does all this crap come from that the idf is some super army capable of defeating any army. they barely beat hezbollah and were driven back to their borders by them, despite bombing the hell out of every civilian target they could think off. even hamas drove them back. this isn't the 1970's. if they could even think about defeating iran they would have done it already. they know that with irans air defence at full force with state of the art russian weaponry, they would be lucky if they can get 1 out of every 10 f-16's through. its all huff and puff, like the puffer fish that inflates itself to deter enemies. netanyahu just cancelled a meeting with obama, those two are bordering on severe dislike, if not hate. im pretty sure if obama told them that if they attacked iran without americas permission, they would be lucky if they ever see a spare screw to maintain their planes again. all their resupply and spare parts will be somehow delayed indefinitely at american ports.

Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII, both saw first hand what happened to the Jewish people at the hands of the Nazi's. Two generations later those who were liberated/saved are guilty of most of the same crimes. Of all the countries on this planet, Israel should know better then to behave the way that they are.

Of all the people on Earth, the Israeli's should know better.

The fact is that if we were to turn the cameras off for a weekend every single Palestinian would be killed. Where the best way to get rid of large numbers of bodies safely is to burn them, we would see ovens set up too since open pit fires would stink too much.

Both sides are guilty. Both sides have tremendous issues to deal with amoung their own people before ever sitting down to a negotiating table.

Even worse, both sides ENJOY being the victim.

Nukes have only been used TWICE in warfare (twice more than enough) but hundreds have been used worldwide for tests.

This will be a diplomatic disturbance at best - which might be more dangerous for Israel than an actual war. Israel has a lot of favorable trade agreements at stake, if EU countries solidarize with Turkey on that matter. Most probable outcome: Israel will be forced to backpedal and Netanyahu will look like a fool. Without a pro-Likud US president in charge, they cant go up against NATO.

Did they use any open fighting tactics? Did they not hide and shoot from civilian areas under civilian disguise? Did they not cry to the UN to stop the destruction of Lebanon?

If LEBANON had enough balls to declare war with Israel, not a single Hezbullah operative would've stayed alive to this day as Lebanon would've been flat like an LCD television.


Israel has already attacked Iraq's nuclear reactor without USA's permission, it has also attacked Syria's reactor recently, without USA's permission.

Well said... and not only are people overestimating Israel, they're severely underestimating Turkey.

Turkey has an extremely capable army, airforce and navy. Israel stands no chance.

RE 2006 Lebanon. The only means an Arab army has of fighting Israel to even a stalemate is 5th gen irregular warfare (i.e. Hezbollah).

Of course using Lebanon as their launching pad is of no concern to them because dead civilians make great propaganda. Not to mention they set Lebanon back a generation or two to make war on the little Satan.

I hope Turkey stays the course and accompanies those ships. The Israeli government needs to be put in its place. I hope the Israeli civilians could get out of there before any action, though. Their government has committed the evils, not them.

Some of these people are sick f*cks. They laugh with glee at the thought Israel might get nuked (which would, incidentally, take out the Palestinians), celebrate the death of Israelis, decry efforts by Israel to defend itself, etc.

These same people will defend countries like Iran or Syria what put their women in bags and have secret police which have been raping and murdering for decades.

These are the same people who cry bloody murder when Arizona tries to maintain the integrity of its society by enforcing prohibitions against illegal immigration.
