Reports: Israeli ships attack aid flotilla

Israel has now put a ban on Israeli radios/tv on declaring amount dead and injured

too late.

We are hearing that the ship(s) with the dead and wounded have been towed to Haifa but no journalists are allowed near them.

you can't silence them forever. Unless... they aren't going to be released and will go to prison.

Agreed but the big question is, what gave Israel the right to board the boats in the first place????

I'm guessing if I was on a boat, or anywhere for that matter, and heavily armed men attacked, I'd look for any weapon I could find...

My point is, if they didn't unlawfully boarg the boats in international waters then NOTHING would have happened....

Wonder if this situation will interupt our US leaders' vacations? Who mans the fort on holidays? Do they make Hilary stand watch while the rest party it up?

Same here, go back and read the LIVE thread if you don't believe us. The Israelis raided and slaughtered those guys. It was completely one sided as the Activists were screaming for the violence to stop the entire time. Israel is so out of line here, it's unbelievable. I don't know how it could be taken as anything but an act of war. Turkey needs to respond.

I watched the video...and while it was morally appalling and i am in no shape or for supporting such acts.....please i beg of you....dont advocate for war.

because if you do we are all screwed. israel is the type of nation that would rather bring everyone down with it instead of defeat.

I posted several video recordings a few pages back, and there many more out there as well...as I said Welcome Israel to the digital age.

And when these people get home there will more footage as there were alot of cameras and cell phones amongst the passengers. Hopefully at least one can make it out.

What is it lately with not allowing journalists near major incidents until 'everything's tidy'- and excuses can be made (this includes the oil mess, and probably not a few other major things), and yet, people STILL find out the truth, thru the world of instant information. Which Obama is trying to have suppressed. Anyone wonder why? I dont...


But then it gets buried because the drooling herds would rather the whitewashed version... Which I am SURE is going to include someone smuggled weapons on board or some crap. Then everyone pretends it's the truth, and go back to whatever slop is on the TV.

Either is going to provoke gunplay from Israeli soldiers, or soldiers from any country for that matter.

This flotilla was dead set on getting exposure to the plight of Gaza. They got it. And while I don't think they are inherently violent people, I can easily see some struggle going on with emotions running high.

I remain hopefull that this will not get buried by western media - as there was some semi-decent reporting of it previous to this incedent.

2 and a half hours, and us Australians can probably hope for some reasonable reporting on SBS World News.

We'll see.

Wikileaks helps assure that such videos will be available for viewing. The internet truly does have some wonderful uses beyond the mundane and convenient.
