I think the initial question of this topic has been answered, it was a quake in Brazil. The other issues, such as possible causes of it are another topic.

My point was the whole earth lurched meaning shifted in space as if there was a pocket, much like when an aircraft hits an air pocket.
I felt this pocket here in se asia.
No quake of whatever magnitude can do what i have just described.

Entirely possible.
But its a very different ball game to work out the physics for it.
