In all due respect Maybe, I have been trying to roll up my sleeves in fact, I am now wearing a tank top and I still don't know what you're typing about. For starters, I don't own an iPhone and bearly use a cell-phone. My computer is 9 years old and my TV is non-plasma! Yup, I am old and resist technology!

I don't know what you mean by:

Here’s the pic after I’ve inserted a UFO with the iPhone “UFO Gold” app.

Are apps (applications) photos? I don't think it's fair that I have to leave this site just to look up jargon on "iphone for Dummies'!

I also don't know what:

I will create another example to see if these sorts of pre - post processing variations remain consistent.

even begins to mean.

And we have the:

RMFX1.....

thrown into the mixture too.

Although quite impressive of your extensive knowledge, I can't help but feel like a house-pet trying to comprehend the 6 O'clock News on TV.

So again.....break it down mate.

Cheers and thanks

I will try to help you out some, I'm just figuring it out too

EXIF is the unseen info of an image. You have to have a program to extract that info, but it gives you the camera make model, shutter speed, exposure etc.

As you can see with his earlier example of the parking lot. He took a photo and then used an Iphone application image gold which allows you to post a ufo in any picture you take with the iphone.

He then took the EXIF data and compared both pictures side by side. You notice the column on the left has a lot of info, such as Iphone 3gs, his location etc.

The column on the right is the picture where he used the program to add the ufo. Notice alot of the info is missing, showing that it has been altered

I hope that helped some

ATS Team:

Here are the “correct” or ”2nd attempt” “direct” photos + EXIF data.

I note the following initial observations:

- The date data for both photos remains 16 April 2010 (no change)

- The time data for both photos remains the same to the “second”: 10:12:30 (no change)

- A generic ”Samsung” camera ID appears in the data

I will continue to look at this as time allows (I am still supposed to be working!)

Comments welcome…..

Photo 1 “direct” (scroll right):

Photo 2 “direct” (scroll right):

Photo 1 “direct” with EXIF data (scroll right):

Is it possible that the photo information is the same for both photos because they both began as the same photo and then they were altered seperately to look like 2 individual pictures?

Hello all.

If I may try to help you One Moment on the "app" query as I see that cavscout11cav is explaining the EXIF data to you.

Basically an "app" is an application that you can put on your phone. You can get all kinds of great things like a dictionary, stock market reports, recipes, spirit levels - I won't go on - there's probably not much you can't get these days.

Maybe...maybe not downloaded a "Insert a UFO into your photos and fool alot of your friends!!" application that he ran some tests on to basically check the data of these photos in case ATS starts getting these kind of hoax photos (which we will).

Hope this helps.

Why is there no date/time on the EXIF data and why is the file name edited?

ALLisONE.....

Thanks mate.....

That's exactly what I've been looking for!

An "EXIF evidence" based conclusion could be as follows:

- The pictures have been pushed through an app, which has stripped the data

- The EXIF data has subsequently been crudely edited

What do you think?

How to transfer pictures from the phone to a memory card.

Transfering photos from phone.

Camera - Good

The M510 includes a standard 1.3-megapixel camera/camcorder that takes grainy, washed-out snapshots, like we've seen on dozens of other handsets. This didn't change when we shot video with the phone. The camera's interface is clear and simple and we appreciated that the M510 used its entire screen as the view finder. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't include many features outside of digital zoom and white balance adjustment. The clamshell does offer many ways to transfer and send images including MMS, PictBridge and Bluetooth.

Our favorite: Plenty of transfer methods to choose from.

*shrug* Apparently transfering the RAW photos should be pretty easy to do.

I agree. The story just doesn't add up

The original photo just looks bad.....okay could be possible with a bad camera phone

The story is wrong......Mar 27th becomes Apr 16 with and 4 pm becomes 10 am with EXIF

The story of him shooting out the passenger window with the sun glaring his windshield.......the sun is in the wrong place in the picture no mater how you twist the time date etc. unless he has a British car which I know he doesn't based off of his pics of the windshield

SO.......I'm saying that this is done.

A couple things:

-I'm not with sprint, not sure if that makes a difference

-The EXIF info you uploaded was photoshopped.

Photoshopped? Are you saying MMN photoshopped that?

If he did....I shall have to take him out back and beat him with a wet noodle!!

BlueFireWolf.....

Do you have any comments on the above?

To cut to the chase & noting that I always worry a lot about being unfair at this point in proceedings when I must confront someone like this in thread.....

It appears I am left with 3 OPTIONS:

OPTION 1:

You have taken 2 photos of an extraterrestrial spacecraft travelling through a "wormhole", which means you have changed the course of human history.

OPTION 2:

You have noticed something on a photo & made up a story around it.

OPTION 3:

You have created a crude CGI image & altered the EXIF data to obfuscate your activities.

What should I do next?

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not
