Hey to use that logic they should put my picture on food stamps! Me and the millions of others who pay $20,000 plus every year to keep the poor fed.

Why not put the people who are really important on the currency? You know, something like this...

1 dollar = Bill Gates
5 dollar = Brittney Spears
10 dollar = Ronald McDonald
20 dollar = Brad Pitt
50 dollar = Homer Simpson
100 dollar = Kitt, The car from Knight Rider, with David Hasselhoff (sp?)
1000 dollar = The Rock

Also whats wrong with coins or coloured money?

I prefer these pix ...

1 dollar = Tony Blair with his head up Dubya's arse
5 dollar = The Pixy Padawan
10 dollar = The Laughing Kitten
20 dollar = Pisky
50 dollar = KayEm's savage hamsters
100 dollar = KayEm
1000 dollar = Group photo of all ATS members

Money is intrinsically utilitarian in nature.

Kind of like toilet paper. You can print all the pretty pictures you want on it, but it's still going to the same place.

If they do this, get used to seeing this.

I'm just saying. Be careful what you wish for.

Due to high demand, the U.S. mint will also release a new $10 bill for dissenters and seditionists.

Now you have a choice...

A very deep truth. Insteading of putting a dead President on the paper, why don't they just put N.W.O on it, with a Globe and U.N. symbol? Or the faces of the people who actually make the money. I don't think that would happen though, as people would start to wake up and see themselves as slaves, in my opinion.

That's a good point. Sorry if I infringed, but I thought it was the blowup from the CNN article...i.e. clipart. Good job on it then.

But I came back here for a reason. Thinking of the money, and the Mall memorial, and the failed efforts on the dime and even Mt. Rushmore (thank God that failed)....has anyone else noticed "Conservatives" lately want to change everything? And Liberals seem to hold "the way things are" of a higher value.

Seems backwards. I love JFK, but I don't think we need to start tearing up the mall, or kicking founding fathers off money for him. Know what I mean?

Personally speaking I say leave the current currency like it is,
put Reagan on a new denomination if there's such a big demand for it.

To replace historical images because of a upwell of temporary emotion,
seems more like a fad than a sincere thing to do.

I agree, no need to overwrite history for the heat of the moment.

I leave it with is note, since I subscribe to no party:

"US government is like a restaurant with only one dish. They've got a set of Republican waiters on one side and a set of Democratic waiters on the other side. But no matter which set of waiters brings you the dish, the legislative grub is all prepared in the same Wall Street kitchen ."

I wouldn't mind the change of the currency, Reagan, Roosevelt maybe even Kennedy could be used for a change...but i can't honestly say any of these men really would deserve it. They were good presidents but all had their faults, i think it would be hard to get a unanimous vote on it.

I just don't want to see colorful us currency. stick to money green and all will be fine.

I agree, and there are also other great presidents. I think we should put jefferson on money too.

Though many see Grant as a presidential failure, he did try to put down the KKK with federal troops (actually... he suceeded... the KKK didn't rise, in strength, again for another generation). Grant also presided over a variety of internal, infrastructure oriented improvements that later weighed heavily in our country's development (not to mention that, as a general, he helped develop modern warfare).

My vote is this: Put Reagan's face on mortgages or stock certificates or something like that. I think he would approve(?)
