Reason Number One Arizona's Law is an Attack on US Citizens:

An American Citizen that looks Hispanic/Asian/Middle-Eastern will be stop by the police and asked to show documents.( AKA Police Sate)

Simple as that , this Law is a direct attack on American Citizens (and THEY ARE protected by the constitution).

(But I'm sure white-middle America doesn't care because it does not affect them)

thing is ... there isnt a big problem with immagration with the Scottish right now is there... I mean yeah it sucks that based on race you will get questioned, however the blame falls CLEARLY on the ethnic groups that ARE coming ILLEGALLY into the United States. Often the Truth Tastes Bitter.

Any true racist does not need the AZ law to justify stopping or persecuting someone different from them.

Reason Number One Your Premise is False:

The AZ law (SB 1070) only authorizes police to verify identification ("May I see your drivers' license, please?") AFTER they've made an otherwise lawful stop.

Pretty much the same as it already was, but now they can take you to ICE if you do not have valid ID.

Nothing police-state about that, or racist.

What I find truly amazing is that before this law, one did not have to provide a driver's license on a lawful stop. Somehow, I get the feeling that they were already doing that in Arizona, just like the rest of the country.

lol you people dont even know what your talking about. If Obama did his job and secured the borders like he's supose to then there would have never been a need to make this law. One of the only complaints i keep hearing about this law is mainly from Mexicans and middle-easterners. Just an fyi....immigrants come from places outside mexico too... there have been many alleged terrorists from MANY differnt nationalitys caught crossing the border from mexico

If you havnt done your research on the border, there are towns and familys that live ON the border in texas who cant leave their homes because there is a drug cartel convoy of 30 people in a span of 3 miles trekking 50lbs of coke through your back and front yard all day and night, your car gets stolen so they can move their crack after they just walked it 50 miles or so, Aswell as the immigrant's just running through their property all day, throwing garbage as they go through, again, stealing cars, property, breaking into houses.

Illegal immigrants are in the United States illegally, PERIOD. Even IF police were discriminatory towards anyone, which in my personal opinion wouldnt be anymore then they are now, this just might justify it(i get pulled over every time a cop runs my plates because i am a male driving a car registered to a women and these are the words from the officers mouth, so clearly they already discriminate). you should have your license or proof of residency on you at all times or your in *snip* anyway. If your not an illegal immigrant, you will be on your way within a matter of minutes. If you dont have id and are here illegally then you will be deported.


As stated on a news source i cant quite remember lol...

That's only partially true. They can't just randomly stop people and ask for ID, but only if they've stopped them for committing another offense, such as during a traffic stop.

Funny thing is, they already ask for your ID under those circumstances.

Myself, I'm outraged that people have to show ID to buy beer or cigarettes. Horrors!

the issue is not having drivers papers: it has always been the law that you must present certqin papers when driving. BUT, this is where it gets sticky...the cops will also try and make people who are walking on the streets and passengers in cars produce ID because the cops want us to think that we are legally obligated to do so: We are NOT!!

No law says that people must carry ID if not driving. verbally telling a cop your name and address is all that is required. BUT, the cops LIE all day long and tell people they must have ID. WHY? because cops do not care about truth...they are liars. The cops want US to prove our innocence...when THEY are supposed to be proving our guilt!! it is all backwards.

The only thing to do is SUE the cops every time they cross the line...drag them into court and make them pay...cops HATE having to justify their illegal crap, and they hate lawsuits...that is a great reason to use lawsuits.

I look spanish, but would have no problem "showing my papers" if it means getting rid of these illegal aliens. I wouldnt carry my birth certificate or social secrity card on me, but I have access to them.

Showing papers to prove you're in the country legally doesn't make this a police state. They're simply trying to curb the illegal immigration problem. If you're in here legally, it shouldn't be a problem to prove it.

Your logic is kind of a dead horse, but is it wrong to stop people at the border and check their legality status? Well what do you do when 600k sneaks across? You hunt them down and the only way to do that is to check their status in someway. Hell I’ll show my ID 100 times if it helps get the illegals out of our country.

I see this answer from a good number of people here in they do not normally carry ID.

So just what are you doing with no ID and maybe no money on you? Do you just hang out somewhere with nothing in your pockets? When I leave the house I put my wallet and phone in my pockets, and about the only time I don't is when I go jogging or I’m in my yard since I typically need to drive anywhere pass my neighborhood.
