The North Star disappeared here in 2004 after that Big Indonesia earthquake on 12-26-2004 causing that terrible tsunami.

I also took my compass out of survival bad and keep a eye on something else that started happening after that. My compass was off by... was it 5 or 15 degrees (?) I would have to check my Journals but I know it was freaking me out and I am not easily shaken cause I seen/knew alot of these things coming upon the Earth since 1983. I didn't find out about 2012 til summer of 1993.

I tryed to warn peoples and Govenment and Media...no one wanted to hear it. Now it's coming in fast heh.

Oh, I SERIOUSLY doubt that!!!

Polaris is quite dim. Know what light pollution is?

Well, everything is fine and the same down here in Australia.

Maybe the fact that you've been pushed to "work, work work" so much, is the reason why you havent noticed the correct position of the sun. Earthquakes, dont change the earths axis, and if they do its only by a miniscule difference. Also, the change wouldve been picked up by the hundreds of thousands amatuer and proffesional astronomers across the earth.

Just a side note to add, the weather station I work at measures sunshine hours per day. So far, we have been having the exact average sunshine hours for this time of the year. If the axis had been changed, then we would have different hours, but nothings changed at all

Welcome watchtowermaya.

Judging from your post, it seems that you're noticing the changes when you hear of some sort of incident.

If you had been paying close attention, you'd realize that these things happen naturally...

The day is not perfectly 24 hours. The earth does not revolve around the sun perfectly in 365 days.

Combine the fact that our calenders and clocks do not accurately match the actual timing of the rotation and revolution of the earth, we should understand that our perception of where the sun is setting should and is changing.

Should it be changing as much as you are claiming? I don't think so... not by a literal 25 degrees anyhow.

Edit to include the fact that the wobble of the earth is not included in our calenders and clocks. Precession, friend.

Looks good to me. Right there where I hoped it would be. I am leary of a post that uses body parts and ones own memory for scientific measurement. oh and "seems" or "appears" is just guesswork IMHO.

I never tend to notice the Sun or Polaris for that matter. But in all reality, this year and the last here in Utah have been different. We have had winter starting later but going longer, spring and fall are actually sticking around, lasting three months like they should. It has been a weird couple years. (If you live in utah you will understand what I'm talking about if you REALLY think about it.)

Im not saying this is connected, I just thought I would bring up another oddity that I (and almost everyone I know) have noticed.

12-21-2012..... I first found out about 2012 in the summer of 1993. It was from a book..Mexican? South American? man who wrote it and I couldn't pronounced his name back then no less spell it here. And it wasn't 21st of December 2012. He said that main stream had the date wrong by 3-4 days and his calculations it was December 24th 2012. And that is Christmas Eve. There's three reasons why it seems more appropriate to me;

No one wants to hear that the end of the Age (or for some it will be the end of the world as we know it) is on Christmas Eve. Certainly not those salespeople. I have seen through expereince that even when something was going down (will that comet hit or not?) 'They' still we trying make a buck $ even if 'They' thought it was The End.

And a Solstice 12-21st is so much more pleasing to the ear.

But if you think about how God (Yahvah for me ) would look upon His Son's Yahshua AKA Jesus Christ so-called Brithday on December 25th when it's actually the worst King in Bible (Nimrod?) Birthday the Pagans use to celebrate on 12-25. The Catholic Church decided to keep that same date for Jesus Christ Birthday. I can see why God would let this happen on this date.

So if December 21st 2012 passes by without a hitch remember don't breath a sigh of relief till you See Christmas Day.

Then, I suggest she acquire some good astronomy reference books, go out on a clear night, let her eyes become fully dark adapted, and try again. Remember how to find Polaris, right? Locate the Big Dipper, draw an imaginary line between the two stars that make up its "ladle", opposite the "handle", and then locate Polaris, which is at the 'end' of the Little Dipper's "handle".

Perhaps ALL ATS members who reside in the Northern hemisphere, northern latitudes, can do so also.

On a side note, upon reviewing some of her successive posts, her agenda here is becoming evident.

The username she selected tells all....but I didn't wish to jump to any conclusions prematurely. She has since removed doubt, and have revealed herself.

ATS does have forums devoted to the religious beliefs of many. Suggest she attempt to proselytize there.

True, the poster does seem to be going in that particular direction... and I agree that manipulation is not a way to go about these things.

And I agree, I still find polaris easily every night.

To sit in a room, gazing out a window, using a favorite tree as a reference point doesn't account for differences in the positioning of the observor, year after year. you may think your favorite easy chair hasn't budged in twelve months, but...really? Certain?

A difference of only a few inches will amount to a great deal of parallax in what you observe, and perceive. These are pretty basic understandings, and aren't hard to research.

You make a good point. So if nothing is different as you point out then it would be easily provable. All anyone would need to do is check several of the ancient monuments that are aligned with the sun and planets. If there is a problem with our alignment then they won’t work anymore. Right?

you know, i consider myself a fairly rational and logical man...but it was weird seeing this post. just 2 days ago i walked out to get my morning paper, and the sunrise was inline straight down my street. i have lived in this house for 27 years, and i stopped for just a second, standing there looking at the sunrise and thinking to myself..."the position of the sun seems to be a little early in the year".but i forgot about it until i saw this post. now i remember that when the sun lines up with my street, it is around a couple of days of the summer soltice june 21st.

anyway, your post is creepy to me, because of that morning.

Those monuments do not work perfectly forever and might not ever again.. but if they do work perfectly as they day they were finished, it would take over 25,000 years for them to work as perfectly as they did.

Wobble.

No the sun/Earth hasn't moved. Do you have ANY idea of the catastrophic results of a move that you are claiming happened based on the use of your hand to measure the horizon? It would be total devastation on planet Earth. I can't believe anyone would even fathom that the position of the sun changed that much. And I'm sorry to tell you but an EQ actually shifts tectonic plates, not the axis, and the reason it affects the rotation is because the shockwaves travel through the Earth and vibrate the liquid mantle, which momentarily affects the momentum of Earth. The solid core itself however continues to spin and the Earth picks right back up where it left off. Hence it did not affect the rotation of Earth for eternity, but only that one time, for that one moment on that one day. Our days have not gotten 1/26th of a second shorter for the rest of eternity, just that one day did.

I would also like you to honestly admit that you have, on a regular basis, for years, been measuring the sun with your hand. If not then I want you to admit that without writing the results down or recording them in any way you are able to accurately recall in an instant the first time you measured the sun with your hand and remember the position of all the shadows of everything around you the first time you ever took notice of their positions. This sounds totally unreasonable. I hope no one is buying into this.

As a side note, I have a compass that points backwards. It says south is north and north is south. Did I jump up and say "OMG the poles have changed and I have switched to a different timeline and Australia has moved and my keys disappeared!" No I said "Gee someone put the magnet in my compass on backwards".

Occams Razer is your friend. The simplest explanation is almost always the correct one.

Whoa there Shark, don't bite so hard. As I said earlier on I am new to this computer Age. It's totally different from what we had to work with back when. Early on I asked for people to be patient with me.

Last time I was able to do something even close to this(Site/Forum) was from 12-1994-1997. And the only word I know for a person that totally shuts out any other possiablity but their own...just flat out won't believe you without giving it another thought..well we would call them debunkers. And we had a few come on BBS just to do that...debunk..trying to get others riled up.

Now when I said that to ? name? I said that there still debunkers out there I said it with a smile on my face..thought of even putting a smily face on the end of my comment...guess I should had.

I know how important it is to hear both sides of the story..to reflect is just as important and we must see different levels of all things said...and yes facts gottta have them and that's why I posted "What's up with the sun" to get some. Surely 'They' arent going to tell us regular folks the sky is falling. Isn't that why we are all here, to find out what 'They' don't want to tell us. I know we actually need (is there a better term for it these days?) 'good' debunkers or these Forum would become runaways.

Seems we got off on the wrong foot...sorry to have upset you.

I read on ATS of the story of that a 3 year old had a terrifying dream and the person... father? wrote it down and shared it on this Site. Title something like..."Prophecy by a 3 year old."

When I read it I saw so many synchronicities to what he dreamt that corrresponds with what I am talking about with the sun's position. If it is off because of a recent tilt or a futre tilt of the earth then it could cause the types of disasters this kid seen in his dream.

And when Haiti had their earthquake the scientist said that it cause a 1/26...or 1/260000 sec what ever it was and it also cause the Earths Atlas to change as well, though they don't like to talk about that too much.

And if it did change the position of the Earth's Atlas couldn't that in turn change the position of the sun , moon and stars?

Bible prophecies say there will be Signs in the Sun, Moon and Stars in the Last End days.

What do you mean Earth's Atlas has moved?
An Atlas is a book of maps. Did the earthquakes knock it off the shelf?

December 25 is important because it is when the sun makes it's return north.

I do know what you mean about the calendar though.

Our calendar is based on 365.25 days and the mayan was based on 360.
