The OP discusses the Obama administration opposing the legalisation of cannabis for EITHER medical or recreational use. woodwardjnr was simply making the point that it should not be illegal for him to medicate himself for a medical condition. Therefore he is directly disagreeing with the statement made in the OP's post by the Drug Csar.

Unless this thread is about legalizing marijuana...but that is impossible since we all know that is not allowed on ATS.

Just pointing out the fact that marijuana may be able to help American citizens who suffer frhom Brain Tumours. People like Teddy Kennedy you know. So Im highlighting why I think Obama's policy may be flawed. Maybe I should have made more of a reference to that in my post.

Cannabanoids produce a mild hallucinagenic effect. Would this (after consumed) render a change in perspective of the World, the Matrix...methodologies of control which is not conducive to the plans of the negative elite entities? Why would they prohibit an herb which is not harmful, not addictive and which clearly demonstrates,. medical usage. They are threatened by it. It would hamper the effective control of the people. Or is it that it would simply cut into the profits of the negative elites?

Quite honestly if you do not already have an inkling of the answers to those questions then I fail to see how you can justify taking such a vehement opposing stance on it. If necessary I could sit here all night posting links to various medical journals, government reports and testimony from experts that attests to the great medical benefit our society could gain from cannabis. It's been used for thousands of years by various cultures for various things such as and including: medical, textile, rope, fuel (the first Ford ran on hemp fuel and was constructed of a hemp composite). We know the Ancient Egyptians used it, as did the Ancient Chinese, Indian and many other civilisations. George Washington is quoted as saying he liked nothing more than to sit on his back porch and puff on a pipe full of cannabis.

A simple Google search on the benefits of cannabis will lead you to a ton of information. It's really not that difficult, just one keystroke after the other........

I came here to learn about some stupid new law or something that Obama is doing (or not doing) or whatever.

I asked you...why do YOU want to see Mr O make this stuff legal.

I asked if it is because you care about sick people.

What people like Mr Mask fail to see is that under these Stupid Laws people are being denied cannabis based medicines PROVEN to have medicinal benefits.

People are being denied access to a safer substance to use recreationally than the Tobacco and Alcohol that accounts for HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of deaths yearly.

And industry is being denied many environmentally friendly cannabis/hemp based products that could help economies of all countries, and with less impact to our Planet.

This isn't about Legalising Cannabis its about repealing a totally unjust and unfair law that is doing nothing more than holding humanity back.

I support medical marijuana (where it is legal).

A less ignorant person would know that there are literally thousands of medical and government reports which attest to the medical benefit of cannabis.

A less ignorant person would also know that the American Medical Association recently recommended that Cannabis be lowered from its current status as a 'Schedule 1' drug so as to allow medical studies to be performed on it (currently, in 'Schedule 1 status it is deemed to have no medical use therefore medical studies are not allowed to be carried out on it).

Not only does this convince me you are lying about your true intentions in this thread, it also cements the fact that you haven't got a clue about the subject matter. You could not be more ignorant if you tried.

Apart from stereotyping everyone who would ever use cannibis as a dumb stoner, you have not put forth your argument as to why you think Marijuana should remain illegal.
So you want to talk like adults, but it is you who has failed to provide us with sound reasons to support your arguments. Bring forth your reasoning, without stereotyping evry individual who uses pot as someone from "Dudes where's my car" or Cheech and Chong.

I have not said anything that would incriminate myself, nor would I. There is nothing wrong with advocating for something illegal to be made legal when good reason can be applied. Sorry kiddo, the FBI can't arrest me for saying I support legalisation.
