I recently saw a David Attenborough documentary the other night which mentioned that for humans to run on water they would have to attain a MINIMUM speed of 65km per hour, given the average person can only run about 20km per hour tops, this should be labelled as a hoax already.

Actually this is a good trick, what you need is a large plastic bag, like something you would get a carpet in. You then sink it to remove the air and tie off both ends. The very small amount of air in the plastic would keep it close to the surface but not on top and when you run on it the water inside can't be displaced that much. You could fall any time you liked and only run as far as the bag is long. Simple!

You believe David Attenborough ? The same guy that wouldn't be bothered if half of humanity gets wiped out just for the sake of nature ?

He would tell you anything as long as he gets payed for it.

He's brilliant narrator tho.

Definitely a viral ad for Hi-Tec....google "Liquid mountaineering"", you'll see that just about every entry is from the last 2-3 weeks.

Also check out the last entry/image on the Liquid mountaineering blog.

To me it looks like they run on the water. I don't know the brand. It still looks cool an I've still not seen any proof that debunks it.

If you don't like it don't reply it.

To bad about your thread tho, I would have loved a few chocolate cooking tips.
If you don't like it don't reply it.

Edit.
I posted it just cause it looks cool.

Just having a bit of fun I'm sorry. you must have expected it though especially with that title.
Anyhow I have debunked it. It's something under the water they are running on. Water won't prevent your finger from passing through it so how will it stop two big feet running through it.

That's not the same concept. Try slapping water in a pool. That is what you are trying to do while running, theoretically.

Lol! I've never laughed so hard in my life! Thank you for sharing this video with us! Definitely one of the most entertaining videos I've seen to date!

I can't believe anyone would even make this... just proves that current world population is really getting dumber...

TPTB must have been testing the potency of fluoride!

Thanks for that post

Liquid Mountaineers, I see it is for marketing now, I just thought it'd be possible to work up to 10-20(maximum) steps with enough effort and attempts.

I like that vid bit with the water droplet at 2000 fps

Color me fooled...

It is possible to mix some kind of chemical into the water to make it possible to run across it, and if you stop or go too slow, you fall in. Perhaps they did something similar? Here is the video I am referring to:

viral ad, no mistake.

was gonna go through the vid and screen cap every instance the hi tech logo appeared or flashed on screen, but there was just way too many.

I can't say for sure how the trick was done but it is certainly an ad for hi tec.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/14df9048b5ce.png[/img]

just go through the vid and pause it every time hi-tec is on screen.

This.

You've got to be kidding me. Do any of you really believe this crap? I can skip a rock across water, so can you. I can not run fast enough to maintain (too drunk to explain) on the same surface... neither can you.... or them.

I was just looking at a video.
You have go to see this for yourself. I was amazed actually.

After seeing this video, what could be the implications ?

Is it just fun to do ?
A waste of time ?
Maybe Jesus ran instead of walked ?

Anyway.
I just wanted to share cause I didn't believe it would work.

Enjoy !

Best video ever, seriously.

Maybe those blokes are reptillian and have hollow bones. There are types of geckos that can run across the water as well as waterfowl.

That was hilarious.

Although, I'm a bit shocked and appalled that the supposed "cutting edge" folks of knowing what is true and not on the web here on this board, would actually buy this sort of thing.

i don't know what's funnier. the video or the people who believe it's true.
