Wow !! This is really scary

Millions of people will die if any solar radiation gets thru this bow in the magnetosphere...

hmm I like your name too, kinda says it all really! lol

As to your comment...

54321 anything 'could' happen in the next half hour! ; ))

However, I will state a fact, many people ARE feeling nauseous, twitchy and 'under the weather' but they don't know why...yet!

The Magnetosphere - linked strongly to Jupiter's mag...got to blame something

Ok, what are all those extra spots in the stereo image from today 5/3/10?
I can't believe this image is being ignored and not a mention.

With no other imput on this I would have to say it was a huge alien intervention to stop "Venus" from exploding into the sun! They zoomed in, some of these intergalactic green peace warriors of planet size magnitude, and did a quick 10 minute fix and saved the universe.
OR, Nasa did their own little fixes on pics proceeding 5:24 UTC.

Where's the evidence that was going to happen? STEREO emits debris from its insulation all the time which can float in front of the camera; I'd consider that a far more likely scenario. Even in the unlikely case that it's aliens, I see no reason why intervention would be necessary.

Actually, I was just trying to be funny with the alien intergalactic green peace intervention, while at the same time goading someone of some authority on the subject to enlighten me with what in the heck those spots are.

Insulation debris? Please enlighten me. Just did a search and did not find anything on Stereo emitting insulation space debris.

3) debris streaks

Debris can refer to astronomical or human-made debris. The debris may be dust or spacecraft insulation which has flaked off. Visit here lasco-www.nrl.navy.mil... for more detailed information. The image below provides a typical example of debris.

sungrazer.nrl.navy.mil...

Early in the STEREO mission observers noted that the white-light instruments of the SECCHI suite were detecting significantly more spacecraft-related “debris” than any previously flown coronagraphic instruments. Comparison of SECCHI “debris storms” with S/WAVES indicates that almost all are coincident with the most intense transient emissions observed by the radio and plasma waves instrument. We believe the debris is endogenous (i.e., from the spacecraft thermal blanketing), and the storms appear to be caused by impacts of large interplanetary dust grains that are detected by S/WAVES.

Wow. Did not even notice until you mentioned it. Pretty cool.

Ok, I see what a "debris streak" is, but that does not look like our picture.
Here is the picture of debris from your link:

Now, here is the pic, I'm referring to:

stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov..." target='_blank' class='tabOff'/>

Now, I am really trying to imagine some insulation coming off a satelite and showing up as bright as the planets, but am having a hard time with that. I need an example that is VERY similar to this to convince me this is just normal. To me, if debris were to be this bright and obvious, we would see it ALL the time.

Strange, I woke up at 7 AM this morning feeling really #ty and tired but unable to go back to sleep. I went to bed at 2 AM and couldn't sleep for like an hour.

Four hours of sleep. Normally when I go to bed at like 2/3 AM I wake up at like 5 PM because that's how lazy I am.

What time did the CME hit earth (pacific time)?

Do you mean see it from Earth?
It's tiny, we can't see it from Earth.
Here's some more.

No I did not mean See it from earth, duh!

Your images still do not look like the one I'm talking about, and you know that, and yours are kind of old, so those spots are still a real mystery in my opinion, and could be aliens, at this point.

Give me a picture similar to the one I'm referring to in above post, and I'll gladly shut up.

I don't need you to shut up that badly. I'm not going to look through 3 years worth of images to make you happy.

But another good indication that it is debris is that it does not appear in the image taken 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after.

You're also comparing a low-quality highly-compressed beacon image to full-quality low-compression images downloaded from the spacecraft later on. There may be additional similarity to the previous debris images in fine detail that you're not able to see yet due to the low quality.

Like I said earlier- Aliens came in, did a quick fix in 10 minutes and were out of there, OR, Nasa, did a quick fix.

On Stereo site you can go to artifacts page and look at examples of debris, stars, and planets. etc.thestereo.gsfc.nasa.gov...

Their debris pics look like your debris pics, their planet pic looks like my picture. I am not saying these object in the 5:24 pic are planets or anything else, but I do definitely wonder what the heck they are.

Wow does that mean its a comet then ? if it is why isn't anyone saying anything about it

A large number of the comments here miss the point that the images are 2d and are collected from a 3d space. Small debris up close looks brighter than the same piece a distance off. The planet going behind the sun is not necessarily hit by the CME. Incorrect interpretations of images due to the loss of a dimension are not unusual as seen in this thread.

So SunnyDee, if these are actual objects that zipped in and then out, how come they are not streaked in the image? You suggested that something zipped in tens of millions of miles and then left. Somehow with this great speed we managed to photograph these objects although they were traveling like a million miles a minute?

Dont let them bring you down, they are now trying to act like Phage or nasa
I believe it wasnt Venus.

It seems for ever mention of planet x or nibiru they dont wont hear it.
sounds like a conspiracy.

Well thanks for the lift up....but I didnt take them that way at all. I love learning, and am defiantly a amateur at understanding the cosmos...but it is a great passion for me to learn more. Im not intimidated in any way by Phage or Chadwicks...appreciate their info. Without people like them, image where a thread like this would go.

I was the one that was reading too fast and not seeing what was trying to be said (it could of been more clear and noticed it was mentioned again that Venus was getting ready to go behind the sun).

I do appreciate others bringing in facts to threads and showing others a idea....or fact....but if someone is going to mention that Venus is getting ready to go behind the sun DUE TO A SATELLITES VIEW POINT.....AND NOT EARTHS VIEW POINT....I just think things like that should be made clear, very clear.

I cant complain against someone trying to bring facts to the 'what star is this ' threads......for I am one of those usually trying to show people what it could be myself. Like I said though, just a amateur big time here.

Its all good....thanks for that though!

This is just one of many strange images.

Have a look

I am going to be one of the skeptics and say oh it is a glitch and you don't know what you are talking about.

But all-in-all that is weird.

I know and there was another Huge CME today, there was a warning on Spaceweather.com saying the cause of the CEM was unknown and they were going to update us soon... When I went back to Spaceweather.com the notice had been removed. Question is why would it be Unknown?

SunSpot Activity is pretty low I would say and nothing really on the Coronal Hole front either. So what is the cause of the CME, this is the same question I thought of when I checked all the data today.

The only reasonable conclusion I came to was the object "Planet" in the STEREO images I posted, without a doubt it's having some effect on The Sun. Question is if it is Venus, like pointed out in discl0sur3's thread.... then why is Venus and The Sun acting this way.

check your cache on your web browser. you might be able to still see the site.

Or maybe it is in web browser history???

So would you rather continue on in ignorance?

It's Venus.

Honestly, for every unknown sighting they say its Nubiru...

How many times are we going to say it is venus in that position? LOL

Yet Venus is behind the sun? LOL
