Actually thi sis a form of black Xtian magic. I have a similar ritual from france called the rite of saint Secaire. This is truly odious but what is to be experted from certain people. He is someone's child, husband, and father.

How gross!

Wouldn't this be something like "plotting the murder of the President"?

Definately illegal and wouldn't go down well here in the UK!

Glad my name isn't on the group, plonkers!

What on earth are you talking about? Please elaborate.

That is just... disturbing. I don't care much for the guy or his policies either, but praying for his death? That's just not right.

Minkey53 - From the article, it doesn't appear they are actually plotting anything they're just praying for it. No laws are being broken from what I can see and it's not actually a threat against his life. It's not too far away from threat territory though.

Who cares? Is it childish, yes? Does it really matter, No? What in the hell does having a family have to do with anything? He's still just a man, at the end of the day, no better than anyone else. If people like the Fred Phelps, Jessie Jackson, and Malcom X get a pass, why should he?

So let's be all goody to war criminals like Kissinger, Cheney or Bush, because eh, they've got family...

If you want to give reasons why he shouldn't be tried then executed for treason, then you should not give a stupid one like that.

EVERYBODY GOT FAMILY OTHERWISE THEY WOULDN'T BE ALIVE.

People can do whatever the hell they want. It's not like they are saying they gonna kill him, they gonna just engage in an exercise of futility : praying for someone's death.... LIKE THAT EVER KILLED SOMEONE...

I sincerely hope these people have thought this out well, for to send all of that energy to a targeted source brings some bad Karma, three times over, if he is really killed. Having this happen, spoken form one who was in school when we lost JFK, a thing like that effects everyone...it was a bad time. Why do people use their energy for a negative, redundant thing?

Yeah.

"DEAR LORD, THIS YEAR YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTOR, PATRICK SWAYZIE. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTRESS, FARAH FAWCETT. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE SINGER, MICHAEL JACKSON. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW, MY FAVORITE PRESIDENT IS BARACK OBAMA. AMEN."

Not exactly a threat but...

Not exactly a Christian prayer either, Tiger5.

This is the facebook groups name. They have taken it way out of context. It is just a very poor tasted joke.

Wow, this is beyond words to be honest. So people don't like Obama so they begin to pray for his death? I hope the same people that do 'pray' for his demise will also be there to help the shattered family. Oh and before I forget when things got worse under Bush's reign was there such a group active?

Mindless cattle. Ignore them and they'll go away.

Harsh but quite possibly true.

While it may be offensive and in poor taste, there is nothing illegal goin on. Of all places ATS should be a bastion of freedom of speech. While you may not agree with what the group is praying for surely u agree they have the right to say it. If freedom of speech doesn't extend to the worst, then its not fit the best.

Yes there were people like this when Bush was around. It is just retarded individuals and in this case, I guarantee that most of the people are teens.

Well that is something interesting, it is said that prayer have power, but while I disagree with the politics of today and will like to see many corrupted politicians hanging by their balls
nothing good will come with the death of our president.

Now if lo and behold something happen to the president for some reason or another, this will actually prove that prayer is actually a very powerful thing indeed.

But I am skeptical our president as today seems to be a very healthy individual in the prime of his life, so I don't see anything coming from this prayer at all.

But I bet that many names will be added to the black list of undesirable on the Homeland of deception archives

Why don't they just call themselves The Christaliban?
One million disgusting, hypocrytical, psychotic ignorant fools.
Too bad the Bible doesn't mention Karma.
Someday "christian" fundies might advance out of their bronze age idiocy and join the human race.
Naww, not likely.

I hope those that choose to still blame him "personally", at the end, will still stand and declare what they think. Some how i think by then they might have opened their eyes, and only then realized.

Why would you suspect teens? Also it may just be me and lack of sleep, but what exactly does the last one correlate with? Well in terms of Bush's actions, I don't know of anything that he did or was intending to do that would harm the environment.

Now, now, don't be so stern, this will actually prove to be an interesting experiment.

it may prove or disprove the power of prayer once and for all.
