How does one know it is a legit chrome pipe and not simply imagination?
Im not sure how one can come to this conclusion without eliminating all other possibilities such as a rock with glare from sun.

Logic says: It is a rock. Imagination says: It is a chrome pipe.

Im curious really

Thanks!
I should have kept a trace of the exact locations of the other images... They are spread across the original one. I'll see what I can do.

You are spinning what I said.

I said it's legit as in "Its really in the photo linked above". I confirmed it was IN that photo by scouring through it until I actually found it.

Top - Left part of the pic.

Seems to me you eliminated the possibility of "chrome pipe" before you even walked into the thread.

I am open to it being a rock sure, but that is a crazy looking , reflective rock.

Observation shows it is a pipe. Observe the shadows of the object, and yes, it could be a pipe rock... gleaming under the sun... Of course, all the names are exotic, but look at it closely, it is a pipe. Be it chrome or adamantium.

Yes, I see it. Sorry I was not trying to spin your words. I just took them as literal.

But yes, I do see the object. I see a rock. Simply a rock with sun glare hitting it.

Do you think that in the images of Mars I showed that I found actual frog, cow skull, hedgehog and turtle? Because that is what I see.

I mean, its all imagination. Nothing less. Nothing more. Its whatever your mind can imagine the rock to be. Pareidolia is real.

It's cylindrical.

Reflective.

On the "opening", if you look closely, you can see GROOVES where it would be screwed onto something.

This is the craziest looking "rock" I have ever seen.

The opening is very circular as well.

And look at the bright reflective parts.

On the left of the "opening" there is a bright spot at the climax of the reflection, then directly across the "opening" on the other side, is a corresponding bright spot/reflection.

I love looking at pictures of Mars. After reading a book a few years ago, I think it was "Monuments of Mars". I have been intrigued with what may have been there in the past and how we could be linked to it.
Although most of those pics look like rocks Its always fun to wonder.

Unusual natural rock formations.

Natural shiny/metalic rock.

Shiny Rock coating....re: Mars

Shiny Rock Coating May Hold Key To Martian Life

Just sayn' nature can create some fascinating things - even unusual to our normal opinions of how things are.

But if yall want to believe they are machine parts and not natural formations, thats ok too

Here is the location of some of the items... ( approximately )
The engine is just a bit under the pipe, a little bit to our right.
Starting left of the picture, if you go the length of a quarter of it, near the bottom, you will find the Wheeled Bone-like structure, and just higher from there, a bit to the right, you will see the Decorated ornament.

The last picture of the trace and moved mud/sand is, starting from right at the quarter of the picture at the very bottom of it. Now, it seems closer to the Rover than I remembered from a year ago... oops!

Wow look at the orange reflections on the bottom half of the pipe.

It matches perfectly with the sand under it.

Open the original pic because it is way higher resolution than the cut out he posted in the thread.

Holy Crap!!!

I was looking at the original high Rez pic.

Start at the TOP LEFT- follow the FAR SIDE of the CRATER WALL.

Keep going along the crater wall towards the RIGHT.

You will see a HUGE chunk of shiny metal.

What the heck is that???!!!

If you adjust the colors of the picture, you will see that the upper part of the pipe is reflecting blue, Thanks for the notice.

But just take a look also at the Wheeled Bone-like structure. You will see the wheel inside a hole. In my opinion, it's pretty unusual for a natural formation.

To greeneyedleo: I loved your frog, think your turtle looks more like Pepe LePew and thinks your cow has had a very miserable life...

But I understand what you say as I sometimes amuse myself while walking by finding images where in actuality there is none. Sometimes, it IS impressive. But these "rocks", or whatever they may be, are different from there surroundings and display structures that are puzzling when looked at carefully. I took a night to do the job, but took a week to look at the picture and trying to make sense of what I was seeing. ( ...or thought I was.. )

I hope you're right, because if you are not....

I need data to triangulate this. Can we prove it's the lander module?

Edit: Found a pic of the lander.
www.m0ala.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk...

They look sorta similar. I'll just take your word on it for now though, that it is the lander module. After looking at some maps it seems to match up the trajectory pretty well.

nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov...

Here we see the lander and if you notice, you will see three silvery heads, like missiles, encrusted in the "floor" of the lander. Maybe the are relays that are standing up on the picture in the OP... Because there are three whitish balls.

Oh, that silver thing is the lander? I saw that earlier and I was starting to get all worked up, I am glad there was some clarification on that! I am still intrigued by that "chrome pipe" though.
