To me it looks like a picture of a rather big hill with trees on it and a large moon in the background..
If they are infact trees then any FOOL would see the moon was infact quite large in the sky...

Ohh BTW..I did look for a better resolution satellite pic and found something interesting..

Yes, there are far higher resolution sats out there but it's apparently ILLEGAL for the public to have access to pics under 50cm resolution..

May I point out, to those unfamiliar with photography, that you can change the SIZE of an object in an image in a number of ways:
- by using different focal length lenses
- by getting closer to the object (that won't work too well for the Moon taken from Earth, but it certainly works for trees..)
- by cropping the image
- by enlarging or zooming the image when displaying or printing

You can change the RELATIVE SIZE of two objects at different distances (eg trees v. moon) by simply changing your distance from the trees, and then choosing your lens/cropping/magnification appropriately. That's part of 'composition'....

In other words... given a tiny bit of knowledge, it is easy to have small trees, large Moon, large trees, small Moon, whatever. I'm a little surprised that this needs to be elucidated. Don't people ever walk up to things and notice that things that are nearer get bigger at a quicker rate? Sheesh. I'm tempted to post my favorite Father Ted clip... "Small... FAR AWAY! ...I'm still not getting it.."

Amazing..You can look at a saved pic, not the original, and tell me it's focal lengh and that it's been cropped??

The height of the handle from floor level will change with door height you dont think so then. Foosm said try your own door so if I put a house door next to the lander door you are saying the handle will be the same height from floor level on both doors thats what Foosm claimed. Astronauts can reach for the handle before going down the ladder can they not!

Easy enough to grab that, pull the door closed, and back out at the same time without ever having to reach over your head.

hate to interupt an argument but I always wondered if the moon rover was ever photographed after wards? by nasa or by russia or china? i assume even the most powerful telescope couldnt pick it up but satelites?

also the did they use the rover to travel long distances? was it actually important and crucial to the mission,cause thats an awful lotta weight to be carrying on a risky mission and the only thing that comes to my mind when I think about the rover is a short clip of it being driven like a toy,just for fun. just as a spectacle.

any one know enough about it to enlighten me?
