Lets see it was a CIA project and camera systems were designed for it and companies like Kodak and General Electric did work on it.
Now as it was to replace U2 spy planes I dont think they would want lots of people to know about it.
I would think anyone on the project would have known what it was for.
Also after a U2 had been shot down do you really think they would say what it was.
Anyway ppk55 learned anything about photography yet!!!!!

What!?
Do you even know what your are talking about?
Its like you are just grabbing as much non-related facts as possible and "TADA !"
throwing them up in the air hoping they will all congregate into a point.
If NASA was going to fake a moon landing, would they want everyone one to know about?
No!
Was the CIA involved with NASA?
Yes!
Could Apollo and Gemini have been a public stunt to spy on the Soviets?
Yes!
I also grabbed facts from the air to make a point, but mine is more clear and probably true.

Yes we would navigate using the stars when on the moons surface!
Yes and Astronauts paths visible on the DAC film and match shape on LRO image I bet that really ----ed JW off like it does YOU.
We have explained time and time again why the stars wouldn't couldn't show on pictures although it does seem to difficult for you to understand.
You have plenty of links re photography BUT you are obviously out of your depth when we talk about exposure etc.

Oh so now you are a saying its impossible to photograph stars from the moon.
Good, your opinion has been noted for the record.
Second, you are saying that its impossible to see stars from the moon.
Good, your opinion has been noted for the record.
Now lets move on to further matters, or does your knowledge of Apollo only extend to photography?
How can you crawl back out of a hole onto a ladder, and close the door behind you?

You have to grab the handle prior to exiting.
How could he hold on to the "handle" when he needed both hands to crawl out of the LM?
Why would you have to grab the handle before exiting? Kneeling on all fours on the porch, you can use one hand to close the door.

So explain to us how NASA could send men to the moon, but fail at astrophotography?
Astrophotography done by amateurs on this planet with a much thicker atmosphere than the Moon.
Why would they wait until they were on the ladder? They'd do it from the porch.

Not while you are going down the ladder.

So now you're pitching your arguments to people who haven't learned how to crawl yet? FoosM, just give it up. It's just getting embarrassing for you.

We wil see who ELSE thinks its racist then EH!!!
As for photography we have explained many times WHY with the cameras they had they could not film stars more to the point had they YOU would have used YOUR standard get out excuse its from NASA so we cant trust it.
I would imagine it was for thermal and micrometeoroid reasons.

One that I noticed is the LM door being closed for no apparent reason at all.
What were they afraid of? Aliens stealing their LM and taking off?
So what it comes down to is, could the astronauts set their Hasselblads to long exposures to take photos of the heavens if they wanted to?
If you answer no, base it on facts.
