good investment for smaller nations , for defensive purposes.
however i forsee a more sinister use for these containers, by nations who will use these kind of weapons as revenge weapons , filled with biological or chemical or nuclear payload and aimed at civilian targets..
for revenge weapons , would it matter if US successfully destroy the nation that launched it ? is it worth having thousands or even millions civilian casualties in US soil ? Maybe these revenge or blackmail weapon will be the future trend for many small nations to stop US aggression.

To stop US aggression huh...
I get so tired of hearing that #. With all the crap Russia is doing and China and North Korea and you try to point at "us aggression" and you will use Iraq as your example.

Why has an interesting thread been turned political when it's supposed to be about weapons?
it is quite a good idea and I'd be surprised if it's a new one. As someone has pointed out it's satellite guided..so I don't see some extremists cruising up the Hudson with one on a barge just yet. But if the guidance method can be changed to something a bit more simple then I would worry. Hard to detect weapons are some of the worst and most effective. It's in Russian interests to keep this weapon system relatively exclusive because it could easily end up being used against them in time.

Doesn't need a orbital satellite. Plop a guidance system on a weather balloon and blammo a quick and ready missile defense system. Without the Russians consent.
Really though this isn't all the big a deal, it would be if they applied current engineering to it and made it fit on the back of a long bed pickup.

Really people? If you only the US is bad, then how do you feel about what Russia has been up to? (North Korea, Syria, Sudan, or just look at a lot of South America)
I don't think that would go down very well. Can you imagine the uproar if some of these turned up on American or British soil? I think it would work well as part of an invasion plan. Sneak some of these across a nations boarder and you have the means for a preemptive strike on key targets that has come from the inside and is practicality untraceable.

Does anyone else hear that big spewing sound?
Its the air going out of our bloted national defence budget.
All we need to do is buy, or build, a few hundred such containers and hire a bunch of truckers to haul them around thoughout the world. After they are inside a countries defensive line they would be almost impossible to stop as a first strike or retaliatory system.
Of course, other countries can do the same thing.
This "could " be the answer to real "world peace". If every nation already had its weapons riding around on its enemies roadways, we would all have to play nice.

If it's that easy to do I'm sure AQ etc would have done it already and launched an attack.
