I'm glad you reopened this thread.

1 year ago after seen the OP on another site, i came to read posts. this thread is the main reason i decided to registered here. Some were against me because I am Jewish ( but BTW not at all a Zionist ) and i was talking against Rome but beleive me it as nothing to do with beliefs of different religions and faith groups it goes alot deeper than this. Underneath what our eyes can see hide a dark reality...

What i find intriguing with this conspiracy is how Rome planned the aftermath of the New World Order. what the period of time following a disastrous era will look like. How Rome decided to make our world look like in the futur

George Orwell's 1984 talked about a totalitarian future society, where information is controlled by TPTB, freespeech is forbidden, every protester is isolated from others to discourage further protests. Information would be also manipulated to hide rebel actions and twisted informations will be use for propaganda to reprogram our mind and make us follow Rome's Rules, Terms, Conditions and Laws,

Aldous Huxley on the other hand suggest a Brave New World, imposed to make us stay stupid and docile with the help of drugs like fluoride and antidepressants. A world where Rome's oldest strategy is use, bread and circus and also by providing human minds with endless amount of distractions and propaganda. Aldous Huxley beleived that the nightmare of 1984 is destinated to modulate into the nightmare of a Brave New World.

Maybe Rome architected our future and it will be a totalitarian world where we will all be drugged and entertained, asleep and living almost like into a virtual life, where people are contented with their servitude and without any freedom.

Isn't our world already beginning to look like it...
Shalom my friends

We are getting closer to that every day. I will not repeat the information because those who read this thread will look at it if I just post this: 150,000,000 Americans Classified as Mentally ILL for Profit Our brightest children are targeted to be drugged out of their minds!

The modern terms 'censor' and 'censorship' derives from the ancient Roman census taker, the censor, who's job was not only to take stock of the citizens and their possessions (the census) but also to regulate public morality. Their censorial power was wielded without public trial but rather totally at the discretion of the censor. Even today we continue to face the censor and find works that disappear just like in the time of ancient Rome without any public trial, keeping the reason for the censorship secret. I imagine techniques had to be employed in ancient Rome, and even today, to evade the censors by talking or writing about a subject matter that is not subject to censorship while metaphorically referring to something that is.

No one knows for sure why the Roman poet Ovid was exiled from Rome. He was a prolific poet that latter influenced such literary giants as Shakespeare, Chaucer, Dante and Milton. It is puzzling why such an important and prolific contributor to the literature of Rome would be exiled instead of being embraced and thanked for his contributions. Or if there was a good reason for Ovid's exile, surely the citizens of Rome deserved an explanation for his forced departure, instead of one day finding him not around and left wondering 'where did Ovid go?'. And if it was something that Ovid wrote, then show it to the citizens so they can make up their own minds about whether his exile was deserved or not.

Thanks for sharing. This thread is filled with historical research on Rome and the politics that governed roman life, so your contribution fits right in. For anyone that’s interested in Ovid’s exile from Rome, here’s some additional information.

Ovid's writing in the Ars Amatoria concerned the serious crime of adultery, and he may have been banished for these works which appeared subversive to the emperor's moral legislation. However, because of the long distance of time between the publication of this work (1 BC) and the exile (8 AD), some authors suggest that Augustus used the poem as a mere justification for something more personal.

So it appears that his banishment may not have been the result of his poem, which cast an unfavorable light on the Roman senate, but perhaps Augustus had a personal vendetta against him, and just used the poem as a pretext to banish him. If the poem was indeed the reason, then the senate would have had no problem holding a trial to determine his guilt, so since they didn’t have a trial, some scholars speculate that he may have had knowledge of a conspiracy headed by Lucius aemilius Paullus.

The Emperor's grandchildren, Agrippa Postumus and Julia the Younger, were banished around the time of his banishment; Julia's husband, Lucius Aemilius Paullus, was put to death for conspiracy against Augustus, a conspiracy about which Ovid might have known.

It’s a shame to think that so eloquent a poet could be silenced, but we should never forget that Ovid continued to use his talents even after his exile. In his work ‘Epistulae ex Ponto’, we see that he made efforts to return to Rome, not because he needed Rome, but because Rome needed him.

The five books of the elegiac Tristia, a series of poems expressing the poet's despair in exile and advocating his return to Rome, are dated to 9–12 AD. The Ibis, an elegiac curse poem attacking an adversary at home may also be dated to this period. The Epistulae ex Ponto, a series of letters to friends in Rome asking them to effect his return, are thought to be his last compositions, with the first three books published in 13 AD and the fourth book between 14 and 16 AD.

Very interesting QtheQ, since Ancient Rome all totalitarian regimes use oppressive authority . People who criticize the TPTB tend to disappear and their close relations may fall under close scrutiny. Human rights and freedom are illusion. I Guess Rome is the root of all totalitarian behavior, it remind me of a certain speech..

" The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment.

Today no war has been declared--and however fierce the struggle may be, it may never be declared in the traditional fashion. Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe. The survival of our friends is in danger. And yet no war has been declared, no borders have been crossed by marching troops, no missiles have been fired.

For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed. It conducts the Cold War, in short, with a war-time discipline no democracy would ever hope or wish to match.Nevertheless, every democracy recognizes the necessary restraints of national security--and the question remains whether those restraints need to be more strictly observed if we are to oppose this kind of attack as well as outright invasion. Interesting.

I am afraid my history, esp ancient history is sketchy at best. That is why I have enjoyed this thread and its trip through history. It is certainly a pearl worth preserving.

Censorship of course has been with us though out time from the book burnings in Alexandria to the destruction of the printing plates for Congressman Lindbergh's books "Why Is Your Country at War?" and ""Banking and Currency," in 1918 [by] several government agents.

When you come down to it censorship is one of the main themes of this post because the victor and the powerful are the writers of history.

This "censorship" has even become evident today.

“... Over the last quarter-century, historians have by and large ceased writing about the role of ruling elites in the country's evolution. Or if they have taken up the subject, they have done so to argue against its salience for grasping the essentials of American political history. Yet there is something peculiar about this recent intellectual aversion, even if we accept as true the beliefs that democracy, social mobility, and economic dynamism have long inhibited the congealing of a ruling stratum. This aversion has coincided, after all, with one of the largest and fastest-growing disparities in the division of income and wealth in American history....Neglecting the powerful had not been characteristic of historical work before World War II. ” hnn.us...

It is a serious mistake to think just because we have a piece of paper, the Constitution, that says we have the freedom of speech, that freedom of speech and the reporting of truth actually exists. For me it has been a real eye opener.

I just ran across a very interesting article that traces control of the media from 1917 when JP Morgan purchased controlling interest in the leading US news media to "Operation Mockingbird".

...We have verified history of official government propaganda having infiltrated corporate media. The Church Senate Committee hearings had the cooperation of CIA Director William Colby’s testimony that over 400 CIA operatives were controlling US corporate media reporting on specific issues of national interest in what they called Operation Mockingbird. This stunning testimony was then confirmed by Pulitzer Prize reporter Carl Bernstein’s research and reporting. Of course, corporate media refused to publish Bernstein’s article and it became the cover-story for Rolling Stone. Bernstein provides additional information of CIA control in the Senate report and corporate media subsequent reporting:

“Pages 191 to 201 were entitled “Covert Relationships with the United States Media.” “It hardly reflects what we found,” stated Senator Gary Hart. “There was a prolonged and elaborate negotiation [with the CIA] over what would be said.”...

I agree my friend and i would add that presumption of innocence is an illusion, innocent until proved guilty could be easely bypassed by corruption. Rome have a long background on using puppets to control the system. Rome used Jesuits everywhere around the world, China, Japan, South America, North America etc to corrupt political systems and to expend the power of Rome. All rebels around the world who were protesting against the empire, Rome could easely crushed them. Call them Rome's soldiers, puppets or mafia members, it's all the same. The power of Rome have no frontier, the empire stay hidden in the shadow and use the Vatican, the corrupted countries and powerful organisations to avoid to be unmasked and overthrown!

Vatican/Jesuit Corruption

Even today if the shadow system want to get rid of a protester, all he have to do is to use false accusations against the rebel who resists authority in the name of freespeech and he is arrested. Oppression could even take the form of malicious tactics like planning scenarios to trap the victims who could lower their guards and fall in the trap and the ending is the same, they all disappeared and Rome win..!

Rome have shadow governments everywhere around the world, they control many powerful organisations and also Communications media in broadcasting, online business and in newspaper industry. No one is really free and safe. Populations are manipulated, brainwashed and reprogramed, Information is controled and rebels and protesters are arrested one way or the other. There is no way out but in honor of all our patriots who have fallen in combat while fighting for freedom and against tyranny, i propose this next video to take a minute on silence...

The pyramid of control and duplicity behind the scenes often leads to either the Mossad whose motto is “By Way of Deception Thou Shalt Do War” versus the military Society of Jesus (SJ) which is cloaked in the black robes of religion and the Roman Catholic Church. On the surface it would appear the Mossad or intelligence apparatus of Israel would be the clear mover and shaker in the global control of governments and people. What is the perception of the roles of these two groups in geopolitical world affairs and which group is in actual control?
