I think Christianity caused the fall of the Roman Empire.

When they were great, they were into Dionysus, god of wine. Only after they became Catholics, who in my opinion are not Christians, did they start to consider sex as a sin, and their civilization ground to a halt.

Porn lead the way, because porn draw a large paying customer base to their business, that has essentially paid for the development of the web. The author of the article is correct if you look up the history of how the web developed.

If this article is indeed true, and I have no reason to doubt it, then in my own opinion, it is a bloody darn shame. But hey, I guess I should be used to it, right? Humans don't do things for the sake of helping each other out, or advancing society as a whole, but more importantly people do things for their own benefit.

People who say an "open" society to sexuality will advance us further and faster? I doubt it. Sure, America may not be the world's most "open" society to sexuality, but one hour of watching popular teenage programming on channels such as Much Music or MTV will reveal that you're culture evolves around immediate gratification. The more you promote "microwave society" and getting what you want when you want, the more you'll cause people to consume and want to consume. You're country is very much a democracy. You vote for the corporate interests you want by spending your money.

If you want more sex in society because things will be better, go ahead. But you're going to end up with the same regurgitated corporate mess as you are in now. People get what they want when they want, and Corporations will give it to them for a price. You throw sex in there and the drive is even stronger.

Call me religious, but one day you'll see. Everyone wants to be "free" so they think that doing whatever they want will liberate them, when in reality, you are doing what you want, but it's disguised as oppressive corporatism. Don't you see? You've voted with your dollars, and now you can't escape the "immediate gratification" culture that has enveloped much of the world.

Kind of like a necessary evil. Some of the best inventions and defense technologies are results of engaging in war.
No one likes war but some say this is why we participate, to keep the technology alive and huge segments of the economy operational.
All this regardless of their overall effect, positive or negative, on the society and the people.

It is Gods wish to entertain holy people and to serve the need of chosen people and who are we to go against it.
