Descriptions of indigo children include the belief that they are empathetic, curious, strong-willed, independent, and often perceived by friends or family as being weird; possess a clear sense of self-definition and purpose; and also exhibit a strong inclination towards spiritual matters from early childhood.
Indigo children have also been described as having a strong feeling of entitlement, or "deserving to be here." Other alleged traits include a high intelligence quotient, an inherent intuitive ability, and resistance to authority.[2][4]
According to Tober and Carroll, indigo children function poorly in conventional schools due to their rejection of authority, being smarter than their teachers and a lack of response to guilt-, fear- or manipulation-based discipline.[5]

This is ALL indigo children. HUMANS of above average intelligence and perception. Labelling these children as anything else is doing them a giant disservice.

Just because someone has a strong opinion about a certain subject that does not make it so. Because you cannot see something, that does not mean that it does not exist. Have you ever seen Mount Everest? If not, how do you know it's there? Just because someone told you that it was there, or you saw pictures of what people say is Mount Everest? Denying or denigrating something because you cannot see the Indigo aura does not mean that auras do not exist. Just as in Mount Everest there are pictures of auras.
Most of what has been posted on this subject is a collection of opinions. The only real information came from Thermo Klein regarding the entire phenomenon. If you don't like something or don't agree with a so-called label that is your right, but your belief does not make it so.
Struck a nerve? Perhaps.

I believe the purpose of this thread is to discuss whether the Indigo phenomenon exists or not.

You have lots of abilities, like every one of us. Too bad most of us waste our valuable time posting petty comments on internet. What's worse ATS belongs to the best part of it, the rest is facebook, porn, TV, music, video games...
We ALL have "special abilities". Yet we sit here moaning because we're some oppressed stupified sheep in dictatorial regimes unable to express our "true" intellect until the "bad people" are dealt with, all while updating our facebook profiles, playing world of warcraft and updating iPod playlist.
This doesn't have to do with you eMachine, you just inspired me to write this stuff that applies to all of us (star for you).

On the other, we have a list of distinct characteristics/traits which "Indigo Children" fall under.
