I did have a lisp due to a cracked tooth being fixed

And that's unfortunate, but you won't have to deal with that next time.

I welcome with open arm critique

1) Enunciate

2) Use foundation.

3) More discrete jewelry.

4) More colorful outfit. I don't mean bright, but there should be some color. Solid black does not go well with the backgrounds being used. Compare your outfit in the first half vs your outfit in the second half. The black outfit tends to make you disappear.

5) Do something about your hair. Consider putting it up.

6) Don't wiggle your shoulders when you speak.

7) You have a british accent. Play up to it. Most americans subconsciously associate accents with class. Don't aim for sexy, and don't aim for casual. Aim for refined. Or alternately, if you feel comfortable in the role, you might be able to pull off "overconfidant, judgemental bitch" in a way that people might like. Think Simon Cowell on american idol. He's mean, but highly entertaining because of it. Or, if that's not something you can do, again...simply aim for "refined." Think to yourself, "I am elegant and charming, and everyone admires me."

bring your threads to light with our own spin

I heartily encourage this. The scripts you were given were dreadfully dull. If you speak your own mind, it will be easier for your speech to sound more fluid. Compare your speech in the first 30 seconds to your speech from 1:34 to 1:46. The later clip sounds much more natural.

There is one problem about myself I am very honest to everyone, and it gets me in trouble a lot. So here is my honest opinion on Conspiracy Chicks.

Yes, Asala is my sister and many of you will tell me I am being bias. But here goes. I know how much hard work has been put it from my sister as well as Ashley. And for the people who think they are just pretty faces.... you are BLOODY WRONG!!

Before you jump on the band wagon of "oooh just another cheesy show" read some of their previous posts and get to know that they are not bimbo's they are smart intelligent women who are trying to get make all posters aware of what is going on in the world and ATS.

I know how much ATS means to both women, and I wish them all the best...!!

Good job, and I will look forward to seeing more!!!

xxxx

I agree with everyone here who thinks the idea for a these two gals to have a video segment is a great idea but the way it is being packaged is way cheapo. Come on "cutie" and "hottie and "conspiracy hicks."

Maybe that's the effect they are going for though. Then they can say whatever they want with a nudge, nudge - wink, wink kind of air. Sort of a disclaimer of "for entertainment purposes only" license.

And then maybe we could get Dolly Parton and we could have Cutie, Hottie, Sassy and busty!!!

Hmmm! NO!

You don't know much about public relation or advertising, right?

3 is a more powerful concept with more punch than 4 actually - therefore 3 ladies is a better selling concept than four in advertising philosophy!

And Busty? Pleasuhh! - it's not the ATS 'Porn Chick Show' you know!?

Hmmmm No... you don't know much about sarcasm do you?
I was joking, mocking the already sexual nature of the "conspiracy Chicks"

Humour is lost on some people.

Thought it could have been done better. Very smart girls, but it doesn't come across in the ad. A list of conspiracy word blips coming from women doesn't impress me, as a woman. But maybe women aren't who you are trying to impress?

I don't think that's really the problem. Honestly, a lot of it is a failling on the part of the production staff.

Compare the first ten seconds of the video to the last ten seconds.

It starts with an extreme closeup of Asala with hair over her eyes, huge distracting jewelry and two moles that have obviously not been covered up. It's so close up that the bottom of her chin and top of her head are cut out of the frame. Then it cuts to Ashley, further away making it easier to hide facial blemishes, with her hair done more neatly and a more flattering background. Then it cuts back to Asala....with her eyes closed.

Whoever did the camera work and editing did a bad job. It almost looks like they were trying to make Asala look bad.

Now fast forward to the last ten seconds. Asala is made up, her hair is nice, and she's probably been photoshopped. Show those different images out of context to someone who doesn't know her, and they probably wouldn't even recognize her as the same person.

Why is the nicest imagery put at the very end, and the worst put in the beginning? Some of the production quality is just bad, and putting the very worst of it right at the very beginning just isn't the best way to generate a good first impression.

Cutie and Hottie? I didn't see that part. Now my opinion has changed to disgust. You could have done better for these women. They don't deserve to be portrayed this way.

"and most important, they [ATS members] can't be fooled"

*sigh* Sadly, this has been proven false countless times. At least they're not shy about "sex sells" gimmicks, lol, so at least for that, i'll be giving it a peek.

Hopefully it'll be entertaining and unbiased as well.

Lets see if they can live up to their slander of corrupt journalism and show everyone how it's supposed to be done - the right way.

OH COME ON!

Why would you insinuate that these women are powerless to portray themselves any way they please? Do you honestly believe that they are powerless to make their own decisions and must rely on men to do it for them?

If you believe that, then you should only believe you're disgusted with yourself.

Otherwise, get off your feminist high horse. That garbage got old a decade ago.

I have an immense amount of respect for Ashley and Asala. Both are brilliant and insightful. ATS is supposed to be hard hitting and serious and yet you are packaging these two gems as meat to dangle in front of the camera and instead of presenting the news in a serious hard hitting way you first tried comedy and now cheesy sexuality. I am sooo disappointed that you think that people are not interested in these topics unless it is wrapped up in some pretty paper to amuse them. How very FOX NEWS of you.

This could have been a great thing. *shakes head*

The more I think about it the more I like the cheesy nature of the presentation. It's good humor.

I remember AshleyD's intro video...total goofball. She obviously isn't taking herself to seriously. Some people are way stoic and some aren't. It's nice that we all get the opportunity to be ourselves here. If the content is good...who cares how it is packaged.
