There are 30-40 flights canceled in the Netherlands. The ashcloud is stil not very dence but for the safety of the passengers and plane's seams it be better. Maybe it go's starting again like the beginning????

Thanks ressiv. Went back and had a look.

It really looks like its emanating right from the top of Katla, very deceiving.

I'm checking them out too Ressiv...hey, are you sure that's just cloud cover?
It sure looks like it is coming right from the top of Katla, and like it's denser than clouds.
BTW the ash from Eyjaf is really getting thick

I just checked Katla cam as well, and boy does that resemble a vent or what? Is the camera movement from the wind or is it from an EQ?

I think the cam is far away from katla, she lies under a glacier wich we cannot see on this cam.
So it is fog and clouds we are seeing i gues

Exactly what I was thinking sickofitall....Especially this morning when I was watching it. It's slowing down now but it's been doing that all day, then it picks up.

I dunno godddd, I've been watching all day, if it were clouds, they would not be in the same position all day, they would move east to west, or vise versa.

If it was fog, it would have to be forming in the same location, and would they form all day long? They look more substantial than fog.

Edit to add: I can clearly see the fog rolling in in the foreground but you can still distinguish that blob on top Katla.

I'm going with you on this one. Every time I check it, the "cloud" is coming from the exact same spot. Not possible if it was clouds.

Just checked right this sec. before posting and still, very dense and from the exact spot.

A lot of clouds in the cam now, but that same area is still there. The other clouds appear to move swiftly, but the area of interest doesn't seem to move at all.
