Is it just me or has that plume got significantly higher and bigger in the last ten minute or so. It looks to me like this current eruption is getting bigger and bigger while we watch.

This thread needs more flags, its so amazing to watch these cams right now. The view couldn't be better. The vodafone cams are down for me but I'd guess there's heaps of people watching so most likely a bandwidth issue.

Beautiful!

The only problem is all the volcanic ashes thats about to fall down on Europe. In Norway we're told by the government that everything is fine, but other experts tells people to stay inside because of the toxicity of the ashes. What are we to believe? And what will happen if the bigger volcano next door erupts? The one that usually erupts every 40-60 years, which had it's last eruption 92 years ago?

Anyways, beautiful pictures and videos everyone, keep posting

I have to say, looking at the Valahnuk cam, there is still a fair amount of dark matter being thrown out.. have they revised airport delays yet?

I'm still in awe of being able to what such displays from round the other side of the world!

Its pretty big now, I woke up about 3 hours ago or so (6am-ish UK) and it looked quite "tame" in comparison to whats going on now, I am in total awe of being able to sit at home and watch this 24/7, it is amazing.

I totally agree, this eruption is absolutely huge compared with 2-3 hours ago, heh I was wondering what all the fuss was about lol. Not its pretty clear to see. I guess this means at least another 48hours or more of flight cancellations
to. Time to buy a boat.

This cam show just how big its got:-Here

The helicoder link that someone posted earlier is picking up pace too - much more activity, check it out (scroll to the bottom of the screen): www.simnet.is...

This thing must surely be making a huge impact on ice up there, last night also if you watched the webcams long enough (in the dark) you could see flashes of lightning - so cool.
