What Civilization on Earth Made the Pacific Ocean look like a face of a Primate?

While looking at a flat world map that is used as a backdrop for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central i noticed that the entire Pacific Ocean closely resembles the profile of a face of a primate, ape, or chimp, our closest living relatives on Earth.

From Alaska (its head) to the Southern tip of South America (its chin).

So what numbers does one plug into what equation to figure out the odds of thousands of miles of shoreline so closely resembling our closest relative on earth?

More to the point, if no civilization on earth recalls putting it there, then who did?

Or do you think it is coincidence?
Or do you not see the resemblance at all?

What do you guys think?

i used this picture

i guess i can see the outline for the front of the face, if the ape was looking to the side towards america, but as for the back of the head, it's too far off to assume it was 'made'

interesting, but i would assume you could pic any continent or body of water and be able to see SOMETHING, and THEN SOMEHOW relate THAT to pretty much ANYTHING you want...

hmmm..... nice observation, but why exactly would any organism or human society even begin to create such a thing? so much effort, for something like that? but then again i just read a thread about some ancient stone spheres in costa rica or somewhere south of america, and SOMEONE made those thigns for who knows what reason, so i guess i couldn't really rule out the possibility that an advanced civilization dedicated their lives and knowledge to shaping a single body of water to look like one portion of an apes face... who knows!

yeah it's a crazy post, but we are all here because we think outside of the box you know

there is no such thing as a 'too' creative mind... unless it drives you insane, then i'd rather just not be creative or just less creative

anyways, if people just came to ats and ONLY posted things that everyone though was rational and logical, and less and less people posted things that were so obtusely far fetched from reality then eventually we would loose the ability to tell when an idea or theory is total BS, because we would not be exercising that part of our thoughts anymore

so..... no this doesn't make ats look bad, it's just a very unlikely proposed theory

This is no coincidence...

i was recently watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central, and i noticed something unusual i had not noticed before.

Gee man...what are the odds..? There are none...

I think it looks like a bear, personally, not much like a primate.
Apparently, someone moved the contents apart on a seam to make them look like that.
I can think of only one civilization capable to do that.

I really do not see how on earth you can think it look like the face of a primate.

Its quite clearly the profile of a boar.

Remarkable. The same observation made by a banned member.
What are the odds?

thanks for weighing in. I didn't steal the idea, the idea existed.

Would it be wrong to assume any 2nd or 3rd grader in public school should know what a primate looks like and what their own world looks like, and either see a connection or not.

by the way,
Soul of Integrity and Esoteric Teacher are one in the same. I had problems obtaining a new password for Eso and for awhile it was just easier to open another ATS account.

I believe i made the same claim under the Screen name Soul of Integrity when another member noticed similarities with our posts.

i apologize for the confusion, and yes there is another thread concerning the same subject matter, but this forum seems more appropriate.

Earth IS a world with collective amnesia, and a SHADY history to say the least.

It isn't outside the realm of logic to consider that a far greater civilization may have at one time or another existed on our planet prior to us.

thanks for the pic. And thanks for entertaining the idea. I don't think it is like seeing something in a cloud or ink blot.

The Western shoreline of the Americas (last place mapped on earth) either looks like an ape to you or doesn't.

not sure how to make someone see something they don't want to see.
not sure if i want to try to make someone see it if they don't want to see it either.

WOW. news to me.

I guess i was banned.

Hope i don't offend, but at the time i was sort of upset that after weeks of trying to get access to my old acount, ie Esoteric Teacher, i was unsuccessful.

In my own defense, i was sort of upset with ATS, and myself for having lost my password to a years old account.

It can also be said that it's difficult for someone not to see something that they want to see.

i guess there logic in what you say when you apply logic against logic.

who i am and my entire life history shouldn't be a variable in the subject matter of the thread.

look at the pacific ocean.
look at the profile face of a primate.

you either see a connection or you don't.

perhaps in the past it more closely related a face of a primate and thousands of years of errosion has deformed it a little?

either way, thanks for sharing your opinion.

I'm going out with friends for awhile, be back later tonight.
