Ash is already covering the sun. It's dark out. Already getting hit with 'rain-ah' (phonetic Sicilian for 'ash').
This is really starting to shape up into quite a little eruption.
More pics coming - waiting in the camera to be re-sized and posted.
Oh - and this time? She's LOUD! No sneaking around about it this morning. People are on the streets and their balconies this time - hands over
their eyes watching her!
Early this morning she looked a bit like last night - just a little steam/ash mix - not much more here or there than last night - then, when she
started off it was slow, left me thinking it might not turn into much, until... BOOM.
Strange day. Orange skies (not sunrise) this morning that swiftly passed. There was a lot of cloud cover earlier. Still keeping my eyes open.
Something's rocking. It's a waiting game now.
Good morning all
Last night there were occasional Strombolian explosions that were visible at nightfall. Ash emissions, started on the late morning of 30 March 2012
from the New Southeast Crater at Etna's summit. Incandescent bombs were thrown a few tens of meters high, and quite a few of these bombs landed
outside the crater. Difficult to say at this time when she will go but will keep you informed. Pressure is rising slightly.
