Yes this is 17. the ones to be wary of are her flank eruptions, at the momnet this is still top from her new crater.

I lost connection last night. I wa ready to go to bed - but anyway.

The whole area is just covered with that fine gritty ash today that makes life so impossible. It's truly the price we pay for something so beautiful. So, I'll gladly pay it and hope Etna doesn't hear my grumbling, lol.

Thanks for the information on the 'flank' eruption. I hadn't heard that before and I'm going to go check it out. I'll report back anything I find that seems interesting!

There is also a 3.3 17 minutes agao. Both are visable on the Etna Webicoder. I will try to get that loaded but I might have to do this once at home.
At the moment Tremore vulcanico is rising but this could be because of the quakes. I will let you know in a few minutes.

Nothing risen dramatically. She really does not like being knocked. I will post the quake tonight.
Just a small amount of heat on the new crater but nothing to worry about. Yet.

I love volcanoes. I wish that underbground volcanoe in the usa would explode. It might be crazy but i always feel very exited when huge disasters are going to happen.

I have been neglecting our beautiful Etna so she is about to have a temper tantrum. Expect a little fireworks very soon.

Very strange behaviour here.



The EBELZ chart on the Tremore vulcanico is rising rapidly while the ECPNZ remains the same. Is one of them broken?
She is showing me no other signs of eruption.

I am hoping this was some kind of data blip as all stats have returned to normal again.
She went from 0 to 21 then down again.

I have never seen this with her before so will try and find out if anything else could have caused this. For the moment let's just say attention seeking

Etna's making a lot of smoke tonight.

This morning there was a LOT of smoke. One reason I'm here - ran right up to see what you had to say. No photos - I"ll get some batteries this morning - but - an unusual amount of 'smoke' etc, you bet.

We're going to have to take up a collection and get you a couple sets of re-chargables! I've seen you go through so many batteries, and it's starting to affect us when they're dead!

New webcam for Etna...updates every 20 seconds....I might have to go to Liverpool today....so I hope she waits for me to get back!.....and anything else that might happen on this 'auspicious' date!
