Am I wrong or are there a heck of a lot of people joining ATS recently?

Not visitors, registered members just to be clear. The difference between the number of registered members and visitors is huge. We might get an average close to 5,000 members visiting a day (which is a big number). The number of actual total visitors is 10 times that, give or take. That is, we get approximately 1.5 MILLION visitors a month globally. Which is why we're rated as a top 2,000 site in Quantcast. When you think of the millions and millions of sites out there, to be in the top 2,000 is more than a little significant.

Here's the scary thing - when you look at the site redesign and a couple of other things that are coming, it's only going to get a lot bigger.

Stay tuned.

I sincerely hope we get that Anti-flag option soon, in that case, or a "Vote to move to [HOAX]" button. Bigger just means more chaff obscuring the wheat around here, I'm sad to say.

Hello,
Two thoughts have occurred to me...

1-The blog by Astroengineer? Maybe. He mentions ATS in the first paragraph.

2-Facebook, and Myspace have been inundated with my thread links every group I post in. My mood updates. Strangers in the super-market I say "ATS.com" as I walk past them.

2-A-I was going to paint ATS.com on my car next week, just as soon as my wife says I can???!!! My car is a big long station-wagon.

I was thinking how to double quote two different posts. Evidently i was unable to do so, but in response to your question, read the above post from yours that i have quoted. That about sums it up.

True story here. A relative of mine is joining the military. Spec Ops to be precise. She is training with Seals and other guys who know how to get her in shape to pass the physical training aspects of the program.

We were discussing some things and the health care bill was brought up. I figured I would really blow her mind and let her read Protoplasmic Travelers Skull and Bones opening post about the health care bill. I went to the computer and logged onto ATS and found the thread.

She looked at the screen and asked Above Top Secret? I said yes, it's a little known conspiracy site and...She didn't even let me finish. She said Oh man those guys are always talking about this site. They even told her to check it out! Special Warfare guys. I thought that was very interesting.

Synchronicities exist. No one has been able to explain, why it happens. It could be something to do with quantum entanglement, which again is hypothesised but not conclusively proven. I had the same feeling a few days ago. Purely by intuition, I knew that the membership increase rate has phenominally increased. BTW I'm also a new member, who stumbled upon ATS and found it interesting.

Cheers

Gday from the sth coast of oz.When searching for 2012 stuff your site pops up on the pages, you will probably find just as many lurkers as members.
Last june/july from my kitchen window i was watching the sun rise, when what i thought was the moon popped out from behind it at the 4oclock position,i raced for my camera but the batteries were dead.I wondered what it was cos the moon was in the west, this lead me to discover this planet x conspiracy.
Iam still trying to find a reasonable explanation for it,yes you could say it looked like two suns, planet x??dunno.

Glad to be a part of the recent rush in sign-ups here.

I guess once you visit this site more than once, it's only a matter of time until you can't sit still anymore and need to express yourself

Like I've said many times before, seriously watch out for these forums going CRAZY around december 2012. I'm talking about like millions of threads talking about the same subject, and people staying up all night non stop talking about the same subject, and possibly trying to spot things on world webcams and so on lol.

And with more and more registering, how will the server handle that on december 2012!?.

Yeah, They look at me like I'm crazy, or like they're puzzled.
Someone asked "What is ATS?" I said, you'll find-out. Then I walked away.

My wife won't let me paint ATS.com on our car because I spend too much time in the rabbit-hole she calls A**-holes talking Sh*t.

I put links on her facebook, and myspace pages everyday. So while I'm at work, I'm thinking she comes here to lurk! Why else would she give such a name to my favorite website???

Well thanks a lot Springer. *sniff sniff

Dont you remember me?

I was actually fired for my bumperstickers, and we discussed it here.

To offer BUMPERSTICKERS to someone in this thread and not me, hurts my feewings.

I love bumperstickers!

Like you I have been lurking here a long time usually I dont post too much as no-one here really has experienced what i've been through so my 'reality' is a bit different, however I have learnt much here you wont get in civics class.

Or, no one here has posted anything about an experience similar to what you've been through. It may be they have, and are as reluctant as you to discuss it.

One thing I really appreciate about ATS is the ability to discuss some really "out there" things without suffering unrestrained ridicule. Questioning is fine, civility is required. We have a Gray Area forum specifically tailored to accommodate members wishing to share personal experiences for which there may not be any concrete evidence, much less "proof". [Good intro here.

No pressure, just sayin'.
