For some reason, I'm not being given the opportunity to view this. It's just a pretty blackish purple square... But I'm sure it's very cool.
I wish I could play, too.

I can't watch any ATS Media videos right now. Not even my own. I feel so alone.

Be sure to disable any anti-banner and pop up blockers, if you want to see videos on the media portal. This includes third party ones, often included in firewall/internet security suites/programs. But it also includes those in your browser, if it has them.

I'm new to the site, so learning the new version should make no difference to me, though I sure was swayed to a preference by the music.
Unfamiliar with the WATS, but I did recognize the names of a few members. There is probably a way I've yet to discover, but I find myself wanting to follow certain members replies to posts ( as creepy as that sounds).
Yes, I realize hero worship is discouraged on the "Deny Ignorance" site. It's not that I'm in agreement with all their views, I just admire their ability to deflect the subtle troll. I find their mere participation can moderate a discussion into a more reasoned debate. I'd like to find those debates easily. I can see the advantage to those trolling, but for me, it's worth the risk.
I'm sure I'll find the new version as enjoyable as the old. No complaints, though I must agree with a few posters on their disdain for one background color choice. Remember the old bar owners adage which applies to internet cafe users today: Green light never flatters a drunk.

I love getting info in real time, the refresh button is a hassle and I'm lazy.

I'm waiting for an iPhone app!!!!

Have you seen the show Cats?
It's a lot like that ... lots of kitties running everywhere on the side of the page.
When you open a thread page you get a meow,
Real time refreshing, lots of meows,
Spelling/grammar errors invoke hisses,
Mods posts also purr a lot.
It's awful!

Nah it's awesome ... thanks for all the hard work folks.

It looks really cool…but I am resistant to change!

Can’t we just keep things the way they are? Is the old ATS going to end up where my goldfish went?

How do we know the new ATS won’t leave us for richer, better looking conspiracy theorists?

Someone tell me it will be alright, please!

I agree with you Pro-Trav. These "change artist" types are highly suspicious, if you ask me. Always lurking around, wanting to catch us off guard with their little attempts at "mind control". And, that music obviously was intended to lure us into a state of acceptence of whatever TPTB at ATS want to impose upon us. We need to be "on guard" against these seemingly good intentions. Other than that...hey, looks great to me!

Living in a rural area, I have had to suffer with ultra-slow dial up.

I finally have a good reason for getting a satellite connection for the web.

From the look of this new ATS presentation I will not need to scroll down as much as now inorder to view the page available. I watched it twice and love this new presentation and can find only one problem; which is mine.

I am currently using my 32in. flat screen as a monitor and everything looks real good. Now can someone tell me how to rotate the screen image
90 degrees and hold it from one web site to the next. I can currently do this but have to adjust the rotation with each screen change. I will also rotate the flat screen to a vertical position, giving a taller view as with a books page.

I will always admit to not knowing near as much about computers as I would like, so I am not ashamed to continually ask these dumb questions.

This is of course how it always starts out. It’s always ‘for’ the ‘people’ to ‘give’ them some ‘added value’ benefit.

Then come the mind worms burrowing deep into the base of your subconscious mind, laying their little mind worm offspring, setting up their little mind worm houses, planting their little mind worm gardens, and parking two cars in their two car mind worm garages.

Sure it seems like the American dream at first.

Then they start broadcasting, telling you to jaywalk, to spit on the sidewalk, to dump your girlfriend, to quit your job!

They seem like your own ideas, but the idea is to isolate you, to make you fear everything, to be suspicious of everything, even seemingly harmless things like website changes?

The next thing you know you are joining the tea party, or the coffee party, but we know it’s going to be caffeine related, don’t we? It’s always caffeine related!

The mind worms need caffeine!

Pretty soon they convince you to take off your tinfoil hat, and then, well, we all know what happens then!

Be afraid, be very afraid!

This is exactly how they did away with the Circus and the Coliseum, this new Church is better they say, more exciting they say, more meaningful they say. Lot’s of Christians but no lions!??????

We must remain vigilant, vigilant indeed!

They always want you to say Yes to Changes!

Wow, looking forward to this, I hope the highlight colour and submenu's will be green as they are in the video, it stands out better from the darker background colour.

Nice preview video. I like it.

PT, what about the simple possibility that SO and company are just trying to make the site better? Or is that too simplistic for your over-evolved mind? Sheesh! PT, you think too much sometimes.

If you listen very carefully people will always reveal the truth! We know Company is a euphemism for CIA! How do we know it’s the real Skeptic Overlord? Could the powers that be have seen he met some nefarious end, and replaced him with an exact duplicate like they did with Paul McCartney!

Will the new Skeptic Overlord pass a DNA test? Of course they will have switched the double’s DNA with all known samples! No, we can’t trust it, and besides we know all DNA testing is done at government run or funded labs, and now that we have established the Company is on it!

This is Above Top Secret and where no conspiracy exists, it is contingent upon us to invent one if necessary!

Poor Bill he was such a nice man too!

Thanks for shedding more light on this deepening conspiracy my friend!

The New ATS is way, way above top secret!

I am sure it will be a big adjustment, and there will be things we don't like and features we will have to hunt for when we used to know just where to find them. As long as new, useful functionality is added and nothing I really loved has been taken away, I will come to appreciate the changes.

The two main things I hope have changed are:

- The way, if you click on the page background to get the focus back on the browser window, it would occasionally navigate away from the page you were viewing. Aaaargh!

- The way it was almost impossible to find your own posts in a thread, in context with the previous post and replies. (I know I'm not the only one.)

Real time updates and being able to sort search results will make any changes worth it, in the end.

Of course there will be a forum for critique of the new format and a responsive attitude about suggestions for improvement. This is ATS! The board owners actually listen to us here. I love this web site!

Change..."mind worms". By George, I think you have it, Pro-Trav. Change creates these crawling little pests that are designated as control agents foisted upon the unprepared. Upon absorption into our minds they eat away at our defenses against TPTB's attempts to always promote "change" and make it look pretty. We know their evil intents, though.

Yes, change this and change that and before you know it, we are all confused and thinking we must trust our Overlords. How very conspiratorial. We indeed need to guard against the attempt to bring us all into compliance.

To TPTB at ATS:
caveant consules ne quid detrimenti respublica capiat
Beware consuls that the commonwealth is not harmed

Awesome. I saw my Professor Killed in home invasion post appear in the real time news part of the video.

Neat feature.

Wait! I know what happened- It was that time they all went to Gilliand Ranch- they were all abducted, and shape-shifting reptilians were substituted for the three amigos. Mark used to administer the alien stock markets, Bill used to handle the anti-gravity propulsion and electromagnetics, and Simon- well he used to make intergalactic websites- simple, but good ones.

And there we have it! Just as I suspected on page 1, an Annunaki take over of the site.

Well I for one am not going to let a bunch of reptiles run me off!

No, I think its far better we keep using the site, even to act like we prefer the changes, to embolden them, draw them out, so that they become so brazen in their success that they eventually reveal and betray themselves!

Meanwhile we should mount a search and rescue mission to see if we can find and free the real Three Amigos!

The trail may have grown cold by now, but I think it’s a good idea to start out by asking around at pastry shops and bakeries! Mmmmm sugar!

Notice how the video was shot in 1984!

1984????

Need I say more?

It is a conspiracy of Orwellian proportions we are facing here. Soon we will all be plugged into ATS 24 hours a day!

Oh wait, we already are!

Never mind.

If I know anything about Bill and Mark at least, you'll probably have a lot better luck at local breweries.

But will they have Wi-Fi access so we can stay tuned for updates on the new ATS? And more importantly do they sell soft pretzels with the cheese sauce like they do at Magic Mountain?

Still no implementation of the feature that everyone wants? Some sort of negative rating ability to give posters or their posts some sort of negative star, a thumbs down, or something along those lines?
