It looks really cool…but I am resistant to change!
Can’t we just keep things the way they are? Is the old ATS going to end up where my goldfish went?
How do we know the new ATS won’t leave us for richer, better looking conspiracy theorists?
Someone tell me it will be alright, please!
I agree with you Pro-Trav. These "change artist" types are highly suspicious, if you ask me. Always lurking around, wanting to catch us off guard with their little attempts at "mind control". And, that music obviously was intended to lure us into a state of acceptence of whatever TPTB at ATS want to impose upon us. We need to be "on guard" against these seemingly good intentions. Other than that...hey, looks great to me!

PT, what about the simple possibility that SO and company are just trying to make the site better? Or is that too simplistic for your over-evolved mind? Sheesh! PT, you think too much sometimes.

This is of course how it always starts out. It’s always ‘for’ the ‘people’ to ‘give’ them some ‘added value’ benefit.
Then come the mind worms burrowing deep into the base of your subconscious mind, laying their little mind worm offspring, setting up their little mind worm houses, planting their little mind worm gardens, and parking two cars in their two car mind worm garages.
Sure it seems like the American dream at first.
Then they start broadcasting, telling you to jaywalk, to spit on the sidewalk, to dump your girlfriend, to quit your job!
They seem like your own ideas, but the idea is to isolate you, to make you fear everything, to be suspicious of everything, even seemingly harmless things like website changes?
The next thing you know you are joining the tea party, or the coffee party, but we know it’s going to be caffeine related, don’t we? It’s always caffeine related!
The mind worms need caffeine!
Pretty soon they convince you to take off your tinfoil hat, and then, well, we all know what happens then!
Be afraid, be very afraid!
This is exactly how they did away with the Circus and the Coliseum, this new Church is better they say, more exciting they say, more meaningful they say. Lot’s of Christians but no lions!??????
We must remain vigilant, vigilant indeed!
They always want you to say Yes to Changes!
Change..."mind worms". By George, I think you have it, Pro-Trav. Change creates these crawling little pests that are designated as control agents foisted upon the unprepared. Upon absorption into our minds they eat away at our defenses against TPTB's attempts to always promote "change" and make it look pretty. We know their evil intents, though.
Yes, change this and change that and before you know it, we are all confused and thinking we must trust our Overlords. How very conspiratorial. We indeed need to guard against the attempt to bring us all into compliance.
To TPTB at ATS:
caveant consules ne quid detrimenti respublica capiat
Beware consuls that the commonwealth is not harmed

This is Above Top Secret and where no conspiracy exists, it is contingent upon us to invent one if necessary!
Poor Bill he was such a nice man too!

The trail may have grown cold by now, but I think it’s a good idea to start out by asking around at pasty shops and bakeries! Mmmmm sugar!

If I know anything about Bill and Mark at least, you'll probably have a lot better luck at local breweries.
