Democratic Socialism Works & People Are Happy About It!

I live in one of the countries mentioned, and I have to agree that serving everything on a silver plate is an issue here. Not only does it result in many people deliberately avoiding a job or faking being sick, it also attracts immigrants who have no intention whatsoever to do anything else but receive money and do nothing all day.

However, I do think there should be a balance. There should be some sort of welfare payment for anyone who is really in need. But anyone who can work, should work. So if that means cleaning the streets or something, fine with me. Currently it is just too easy to get money while doing nothing, and it angers hard working people.

Im very happy with our system in Sweden. Everybody is well educated since the government pays for the education and we have very low crime rates. We dont have a lot of Fox News people here, and not a lot of fear propaganda in general.

But if the United States wants to keep the capitalism and their crazy privately owned news networks that makes the world seem like a REALLY scary place, it doesnt bother me as long as I dont have to live there.

But let me tell you, just a few minutes of watching your "news" is like watching a thriller. There is always something that will kill you after the break so you better not change the channel.

You are absolutly right, I live in a democratic socialist country and we basicly have everything here. I never understood why Americans were so opposed to the idea, when in reality its probebly the best way to go at the moment.

Every American that comes to live in such a country will emmidiatly see the benefits of such a system.
