This is blowing up all over the internet.

The US will have to answer for this one.

And it's ABOUT F'N TIME.

6000 soldiers dead...who knows how many innocents...and TRILLIONS of dollars GONE.

Don't be ridiculous. This will blow over like every other big 'incident'. The U.S. will sweep it under the rug as always and we'll all be called alarmist right wing hatriots who are trying to impede the success of U.S.'s MISSION ACCOMPLISHED strategy in Iraq. Nothing will stop the juggernaut. Not this crappy little video, not all of our pseudo-teen angst here on this forum.
As much as the video disgusts me, I know how futile that disgust is. Our controllers don't care and NOTHING will come of this. Trust me.

Exactly. But the point is, that's not going to change. ATS has a couple thousand active users. The U.S. has 300,000,000 population, that's three hundred thousand thousand. You really think anyone else will care? No they won't. It'll go up as a headline for a few minutes and will quickly be replaced with Tiger Woods back to playing golf, or American Idol winners. ETC.

Eventually something has to happen. I'm sharing this video and sending it to everyone I know. I suggest others to do the same.

If this gets enough attention...the Corporate media will have to recognize it.

I'm sure Fox News just can't wait to cover this one! Sean Hannity...were are you?? Too busy promoting that book I bet....

I swear...while watching this...it's like watching a video game...and the people talking in it are acting as such.

It's surreal....and extremely disturbing.

This video is pretty shocking. I guess cameras are now considered ak's to the military.
I hope the ones that laughed when shooting get it rough in the end.

To anyone claiming this is justified in any way, please answer why the US media is completely ignoring it then!? Huh!? It's so justified so why can't it be on our news? This has gotten ridiculous beyond belief. Our media is crap, our government is crap, what's it gonna take to wake people up! I'll be in the garage going after the punching bag.

I don't understand what your point is about. Perhaps you can elaborate.

Do you realize that FAR WORSE videos have already been out for years and no one has given 3 rats asses about it? In fact someone posted a video from Iraq from several years ago that is FAR WORSE than this one. Me, my family and all my friends have seen it. The rest of the world probably has too. And guess what. NO ONE GIVES A DAMN! And no one will give a damn about this either.

Look at 7:00min of the 40minute vid.

They are watching the one wounded guy struggling to get off the sidewalk after having been shot... he clearly has serious probably life-threatening wounds..

What do you hear?

"come on buddy"

"all you gotta do is pick up a weapon"

"we have one individual moving. we're looking for weapons.."

"if we see a weapon we're gonna engage"

You mean the guy you've ALREADY ENGAGED, shot, and probably killed?!

Why did they have to wait for confirmation to open fire on the van anyway? They already blew away like 8 people just a minute before that...

You can hear gunner cursing while they are waiting on the OK to open fire on the van... you can hear how badly he wants to let loose on them.

The guys on the ground were just trying to evac the guy on the sidewalk - there is no possible way you can spin that to justify what happened next.

Devils advocacy just does not belong here in this case. There is nothing even worth thinking about defending. It is what it is.

Seriously? Did these reporters not VOLUNTEER to go into a warzone with what could be misconstrued as weapons? Or how about hang around with people who actually have weapons. There are clearly weapons in that video.

Is it legal to carry weapons? Maybe. Can you hang around people with weapons? Sure.

Go wear a Ku Klux Klan costume around town. Is it legal? Yes. Is it smart?

Absolutely not.

The children being in the van is unfortunate, but you cant let them start taking away what you think to be combatants bodies. What if they had some sort of intel there? Isnt it notorious that after battles the Taliban and Al-Qaeda take away their wounded to confuse the US.

Since when did we care about the Geneva Conventions?

I've seen video's of US gunships engaging actual combatants with clearly visible weapons, didn't phase me at all to watch. But it was hard to watch this,as much as I support our troops there was CLEARLY something wrong with those pilots to twist their words to be able to engage. I put all the blame on the pilots, as they were were the ones who requested to engage, when even I could make out that there were NO weapons in the hands of those men, and could clearly make out the camera one of them were carrying.

I am no way supporting this kind of conduct, but I am also not going to lay blame on the military as a whole. Those choppers are sent out to support the ground forces, and obviously there were some in that area patrolling. The pilots are supposed to look for anything suspicious and call it out to command, and when those pilots made the description they did, of course command is going to allow them to engage the "hostiles"; command has no way of knowing whether they are telling the truth or not, they have to go by their word.

This is a perfect example of how too much exposure to this kind of "war" twists the minds of our fine soldiers, especially these helicopter pilots who see everything from miles away and on a TV screen; not the reality on the ground. I'm sure those men on the ground weren't feeling the same way those pilots were, I can assure you that. We just need to leave, sell what we can to the local Iraqi's and load everything up and ship it home. As costly as that would be, it'd be less than to continuing the occupation at the cost of human life and citizens money.

My dad has been in aviation his entire Army carrier, and had no problem telling and showing me what happened while he was in Afghanistan; But after coming back from Iraq he didn't speak any of it, and took a office job at the Pentagon immediately after coming home. He is now retiring this year....I guess this may be one of those things that happens often over there, but is never spoken of...

Isn't it against the Geneva Convention to kill medics or to kill anyone trying to treat the wounded? Disregarding the children for a second which I'm sure the pilot didn't see, did anyone in the medic van seem to be armed to you? No they weren't. They were merely taking away the dead bodies yet the U.S. gunned them down in cold blood too.
