as someone else mentioned before, i too had become very irritable this afternoon, which is odd because i've been in a very good mood the last few days. And there was nothing that i could attribute it to. besides that i did not notice anything strange.

Ok, now that's weird...I was so irritated today, to the point where I even said "What is wrong with me today!!"
Then it hit, It gave me the strangest sensation, very dizzy and feeling of vertigo for a good 5 minutes after. Everything swayed back and forth, lots of crackling noises too.
I am still irritated though? Hope that wears off soon : )

earthquakes are common in California.

But hey, let's freak out anyway.

There's no reason to freak out and I don't think anyone has, on here at least from what I've seen.

But what recent events should lead us to, is researching what is going on.
It seems there is a lot of activity lately, with one big quake after the next.

Should we panic yet? No.
Should we be concerned? Yes.

As I said, it wont surprise me in the least if there is one in the Mediterranean very soon. Wont even surprise me if it's a 6+.

Just an FYI for people, there's been a few tremors on the east coast(of) and south eastern Australia. Particularly in Melbourne.
Probably a quarter of a dozen or so? Around 3-4 on the richter scale.

There were several large ones in the Pacific somewhere off the coast of New Zealand as well. Didn't trigger a large tsunami though.

Now maybe there is absolutely nothing more then usual to worry about. Maybe all it is, is the media focusing more on this stuff?

I felt this quake in Phoenix Arizona. While it was happening I was sitting in an office chair looking at the computer when the chair started to feel like it was swaying a little, and it was slow. It started shallow and grew a little and then faded. I though I was imagining it, but it went on for a good 30 seconds and then just faded. I actually considered an earthquake as it was happening, but that thought seemed crazy to me. I had felt a couple up of 3.0's in Watsonville, CA., so I knew what it was - but in AZ, on Easter?

A couple of hours later I arrived home, turned on the TV and there on the local news they were talking about it. Those fault lines are a movin' and things are definitly changin'

You can feel it coming................................

It's good to see somebody using my suggestion, since it's a very valid one. I agree that this earthquake doesn't seem to be HAARP's doing, but using Occam's Razor to counter HAARP every time is getting stale.

Yeah I remembered reading it from someones post, now I can put a name to that. And it is true, people will eat their words one day since the simplest explanation is not always the best, nor most efficient.

I'm at work and haven't streamed through the media channels yet... but has Obama come on stating anything about the earthquake? Has he said anything that would calm Californian's in this time of unknown earthquake activity? Has Arnold S said anything in California?

You take a nap for a few hours and the world starts going to hell! I live in Kansas City and around 3:30 I suddenly felt really dizzy, nearly fell down. That was what convinced me to take a nap. Usually, my naps only last 2-3 hours, but this one was six hours. My whole sleep schedule is shot. And now I'm even more nervous than I was after reading all the threads about anti-government demonstrations and the middle east problems. Gaaah!!!

hmm interesting first chile and now Baja California. The earthquake seems to have travel north on the fault line. Could it mean more quakes on the San Andreas fault, and California in general.

Interesting geologically. The Cerro Prieto volcano is there along with the Cerro Prieto fault.

There's also an active geothermal field there.

I wonder if there are any geological changes from this eq to the volcano and geothermal activity.

I guess I got one answer...

He said the fire department had also received reports that several houses near the volcano Cerro Prieto -- about 19 miles from the quake’s epicenter -- sank into the ground as water rose up around them.

Another one at 10 km? Now the best "excuse" I've heard for this is that 10 km is the default depth, when they can't determine the exact depth. So basically, all of the big earthquakes recently, they somehow can't determine the depth. How stupid do these people think we are?

I just logged into Facebook to find one of my CA friends posting that the quake made her feel dizzy. Two others commented on her status post saying that they, too, felt dizzy. Anyone else experiencing this?

That seems really odd to me in addition to the reports of the quake feeling strange. Look forward to hearing from y'all out there. Be safe!

*EDIT*
I guess I should have read the *entire* thread as I see several others now talking about feeling dizzy. Is that normal?

Check how many there have been since the 7.2 in Baja: earthquake.usgs.gov...

Once it passes 100 quakes within a few hours (it's already over 80), then will you think its not normal?

EDIT: it's already over 100.

Anyone on here who has read my previous posts knows that I firmly believe and have been building evidence of a strong relationship between the sun and quakes.

It isn't coincidece that we are in the middle of a strong solar wind, compliments of a coronoal mass ejection:
(see the green picture on the left pane)
www.spaceweather.com...
There is now 9 quakes this year that correspond to solar wind streams and CMEs.
Expect another one in the next 3-4 days as others have mentioned as there is another stream coming.

Quite normal - always expect a large amount of quakes - large and small - after a main event (assuming it was the main event and not a foreshock) - 100 / 200 - lots..

Firstly, there's no "evidence" there. Secondly, when you start calling others names because they don't believe you or subscribe to your views, anything else you say is moot.

On topic, does anyone else have a link to live coverage besides ABC7?

from what I heard
most of Southern CA is without power
and stations cant transmit
and most cell phone towers
are out of service
so it may be days before
we can see or hear of damages.
I was also checking the other threads
where CA residents were posting their
experiences, then they all stopped posting.
So I don't have a clue.
Am worried now for them.
Baja is getting pounded
one after another
4-10 minutes apart
