What if the largest super power in the world gave nuclear weapons, fighter bombers,tanks, white phosphurus and machine guns to the Crips, The bloods have some small rockets to defend themselves. Not really fair

Exactly, anyone would be doing the same in their position..no matter how futile. There is no war between Hamas and Israel, it's like shooting fish in a barrel(a very small one). To people talking about the rockets being fired into Israel, yes any loss of civilian life is sad and i don't think anyone can condone it. But these are desperate people, there is a generation that know nothing but Israeli brutality and subjugation. Israel has broken international law, the majority of the world agrees and yet decades on nothing has been done while the people continue to suffer. I would be a tad angry as well.

Ultimately, Iran is to blame for sending rockets and other arms into Gaza.

almost seven years of occupation is bound to get some blood boiling, especially when what land you have is continuously being encroached upon by way of illegal settlements, etc. Couple that with the fact that those on the other side of the fence receive millions in American funds every year so they can point turrets at your kids and hit anywhere they like with pin point accuracy.

A rocket or two here and there...in response to perpetual violations of UN charters and international agreements hmm. And when the response to said rockets is jet sorties, abrahms tanks and white phospherous I am reminded of the term Disproportionate response.

Yes, Israel's response is overkill by a long way. But maybe they're thinking that hit em back twice as hard stuff might actually get them to stop doing it in the first place?

I don't think there will ever be peace in the region until one of the countries concerned is literally wiped out.

The whole situation is crazy, maybe a landing on the Whitehouse Lawn by a big UFO might make people sit up and think and may actually stop them being like children. Yes, all the countries at war are being stupid!

If Israel stopped building illegal settlements on Palestinian land, and lifted thier embargo, on those whom live in that area, could get food, oil etc. There would not be this violence. Once again Israel plays the victim card, while innocent woman and children are being killed.
