South Korean navy ship sinks, North link played down

So North Korea actually has nukes and today has threatened and VOWED to nuke the U.S. but we don't care about that...Iraq/Afghanistan have NOTHING but AK 47's and Iran has a NUCLEAR POWER PLANT yet we're destroying them?

Ahh the ye ole "it ws a flock of birds" cover-up. I think that was first coined by Teddy R. wasn't it? It was North Korea, plain and simple. The real question is whether N. Korea actually openly attacked the ship, or whether the ship hit an old N. Korean mine. My bet is that N. korea saw the ship, claimed it was in their waters (they, like China, have migrating borders that suit their positions when necessary) and opened fire. This is a very normal reacton for N. Korea, they ALWAYS fire first and ask questions later, if they feel like it. The ONLY reason S. Korea and the U.S have not invaded and taken over N. Korea is because of China and U.S relations, as this would greatly harm them. N. Korea is essentially a military Hell on earth, the people have been ground down to merely shells of themselves.

Ha! And maybe it was a school of fish that caused the explosion in the ship. The whole thing seems suspect and smacks of NK involvement, but I'm sure SK media is trying to get their facts straight and ducks in a row before releasing what really happened. Even if they're 80% sure they were shooting at a NK vessel, it doesn't help the situation at all if they release a statement to that effect. It's better for them right now to stick with that 20% possibility that they were shooting at birds.

Come on, we all know this is a false flag by the corrupt Obama administration to distract us from his agenda. Today Obama has his new nuke treaty to replace the 'START' accord with the Russians. Let's not forget about Obama's upcoming battle over immigration and Cap & Trade. This is also a ploy to distract Americans from the ObamaCare mess.

FOX news just said south korea is downplaying the attack..but the update is coming from the pentagon

Antonia, I responded earlier with an American media link and there were a few others that linked a CNN report. It is definitely being reported, just not front page everywhere.

Go turn on the TV. That is where most American's get their info from, not the internet. If it's not harped on the TV, no one cares.

Wow. Not what I expected to see on ATS. This is actual real news worthy of being seen by everyone, because of the potential magnitude it holds for all of us. Another war with NK will escalate beyond what it did in the "50's, I'm afraid.

Thats a simplistic view...the real situation is, if we were to go to war with N.K., they would launch everything they have...eliminating the south and perhaps also japan. If we continued to fight...we wouldn't have many places to send troops through. China would more than likely back up N.K in a proxy war to hammer down our economy and resolve...and voila...the end.

"winning" in N.K. would be exceptionally difficult considering the tyrants in charge really dont care about the people...hell, for them, losing 3/4ths of their population would be a good thing..less mouths to feed and more propaganda to slate.

As we fight all of that...no doubt that is when the big moves against Israel will be done, etc etc etc..suddenly you got world war 3.

Here is where it sort of gets interesting. America would become bankrupt and simply unable to continue war on likr 400 fronts, so we would pack up and go home, allowing for a mad rush to consolidate land. As much as france and such dislikes us, I think they prefer western lordship verses communist china lordship

TV news say that total 9 of the saved are wounded and taken to the hospitals.
