It supposes as most socialist do that without government intervention corporations would be free to take over and run wild. But of course this fallacy is exposed when it is realized that Corporations already do that precisely BECAUSE OF GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION to protect markets for these politically connected corporations. Oh and by the way Government is nothing more then a private corporation itself these days also so is not really government.

Everyone of these statements is completely false, based on the foolish idealism of the neo-communism known as the free market.

Corporations by the power of their wealth, and their ability to hide those responsible for their crimes are able to take over and run wild with or without government or government intervention. Corportions are fully capable of hiring their own private armies, and have done so and continue to do so. To pretend otherwise is to deny reality.

In addition, most corporations are public companies. However, corporations are controlled primarily by those who own a majority of the stock.

Governments come in many forms, and are very different than corporations. The government of the U.S. gives one vote to every citizen, so it is very different from a corporation, private or public. The U.S. government also has a balance of powers between the branches.

When you support people in government who promote a free market con job, you are working to hand over control of our government to big corporations.

This is the biggest problem we are dealing with in the U.S. at this time.

Wake up, the Free Market is Neo-communism.

Perhaps I was wrong naming him a troll, not entirely accurate. I should have worded it as to say, he often attempts to shoot other peoples views or posts down with scant disregard. As has been the case here, going entirely off the subject of the original post and responding as if to claim people have generalized the entire American populace. Which is clearly not the case, the thread is discussing some Americans methods of debate whilst active on this board.

And as for the other guy quoting where I responded to a post saying I agree 1 point odd percent, perhaps I should have again been more precise. I meant with regards to a particular point of that post, being that certain issues are often ignored. As with this very thread, where the topic is being entirely ignored and taken as a generalization when the author makes it clear that is not the case.

It's nice to see people standing up for one another, but he's big and ugly enough to respond. Just hopefully he can this time do so in a manner which wont get his post removed. Which by the way, did that by anychance prove my point about the way in which he handles his responses?

In any event, you guys not seeing this thread for what it is just goes to show the authors point where SOME PEOPLE ARE CONCERNED. "The American way. The Right way. THE ONLY WAY!" in the vein in which the original post clearly defines.

And as for the chap posting that England has just as many, and has had for longer... Read the thread for christ sake, it's clear we all realize that.

can i just say im an australian, don't hold that aginast me.., americans are no different from all other people, they have the same basics feelings, reactions and traits common to all humans.

you want to know WHY you pay so much money to the military? Because political parties in your countries write budgets that neccessitate that amount of spending on the military...

and your "fact" about you guys giving more to charity than any other country, that may be true on the surface, but doesnt hold up under scrutiny, as a percentage of gross national profit the US is not the highest contributer...

America is not the only giver in the world, every country helps other countries at one point or another.

Distortion of facts and ignorance like this is EXACTLY why there is a VERY common stereotype of americans. Well, unless I am mistaken on the reports, do you think the US has a larger GDP than the entire world? I am only going by what is reported.

A lot of people vilify the religeous of the world. The Christian belief is to give a certain percentage of your income to charity.

I did not state these things to piss anyone off. I know there is good in every country of the world. There is also evil in every country in the world. That is why my stance on my government.

No i dont think it has a larger GDP than the entire world, only that as a percentage of your GDP you dont give anywhere near as much as you seem to beleive.

Also who said anything about religion? and where in the bible does it state that??? Although im not a Christian, i have read the Bible. It is simply trying to give the same message about peace, and unity that all other texts other religion have used as sacred texts [give - ed.]...

I have seen a lot of people from other countries claim that "Americans are arrogant", and then they go on talking about how their own country is more superior, how they have "Socialized healthcare" and that is "civilized", which of course is nothing more than a red herring, etc, etc.

IMO those are the people who are arrogant, not to mention ignorant. I am not saying you are, but you are claiming and ask, and let me quote: "There are better ways of doing things. That's evolution of man. If you miss it isn't that a bad thing?"

So your way is the best way? I don't get it, you seem to be attacking "Americans" and then you do exactly what you claim "Americans" do.

"Socialized healthcare" in most of the world is going, if it is not already, bankrupt. Not to mention the fact that healthcare becomes "minimal care" and in fact many of the people who live in countries where there is "Socialized healthcare" have to take a plane, or a car and come to the U.S. to get the treatment, or operation, or even the drugs that they can't get in their countries.

Sorry to tell you that your way is not the best, and it is not "evolution to perfection", neither is the U.S.

There is no "perfect" country anywhere, but I have seen quite a few members from Europe, Canada, Oz, or whatever claim "Americans are arrogant, blind patriots" etc, and then like I said they do exactly what they accuse Americans of doing. I wonder why that is.

As for patriotism, sorry but I won't be accepting a "One World unified Order" or whatever else you want to call it. Countries should keep their sovereignty, and if you lose it you will lose your identity.

Patriotism is not a bad thing, and that is somehting else I have seen quite a few people in the forums, and elsewhere trying to attack, and these same people also claim "it is evolution to hav no boundaries, no flags, and for the best of all", just like so many other people claim about other things such about banning citizens from owning firearms, etc, etc.

IMO a lot of people are falling in for the New World Order plans without realizing it, and they make the argument of "it is evolution, and for the best of all".

I live in a country with socialised healthcare and i can tell you that it is no different from the private hospitals and doctors you would get, although the very best doctors usually are private so they can charge higher prices, given.

Im not against patriotism (although i will say in extremes it can be very dangerous), or any of your other sentiments.
