and what are your scientific or any other relative credentials?

thanks

rich

I was a field investigator. There's training to learn how to conduct, interviews and ask specific questions. We measure distance. We compare weather data. We confer with air traffic control personnel..... etc.
There' are guide-lines one follows.

We don't just take another photo, debunk it and go out to lunch. There's a process (when it warrants).

you are extremely confusing. a quote from you:

". I've been with this thread since its inception and believe me, it's etched in my mind. I don't know about you but, I've seen UFOs. Up close and personal. You become mesmerized in the event. Your eyes are trying to work with your brain to decipher and process exactly what you're taking in. You're surroundings become, moot. And when you try to re-create to others later on, many MANY obvious features get distorted, forgotten and/or over-looked."
you say all this but are absolutely adamant that she is telling the truth and hasn't confused anything including being in/out of the car, and earlier in the thread you were adamant that theres no middle ground and that if she got anything confused that she must be lying not confused and that everyone should stop being nice/polite and condemn her outright and say what they think.
thanks

No. You're not understanding me (and that's why I thought best not to banter because other people probably aren't enjoying it)

One CAN be confused about certain elements in a UFO sighting. But one ordinarily is NOT confused about where they were.
Their markings might be off some (instead of being 'left' of their car, they were more 'right' for example).
And they might not have noticed certain features (A stop sign. A neighbor. A rooster) at the time but they almost ALWAYS remember the general gist of things like, being inside or outside their car.

If one has doubt whether that person really doesn't know anything concerning their encounter/sighting then.....you have to consider the source and determine whether they're traumatized, demented or hoaxing.

I haven't the opportunity to interview Fiona so I am only making my 'cognizant' impressions of her, via her audio/video clips. She seems sane.

it hasn't just been a debunk and put out to lunch as you call it, im sure everyone here came in with an open mind and would love to see proof of alien life, yet most people these days just dont take everything what people claim as gospel, especially when said evidence is suspect to say the least
now you only have to look up george adamski and billy meier and that kid that painted ufos on his glass window to see why, now most people in this thread have approached this in the most scientific and knowledgeable logical way ive ever seen and that even includes over a lot of so called "experts".
now you on the other hand are a complete enigma, you claim to be an ex investigator but have approached this in the most confusing and non scientific way possible, even going as far as insults and complete illogical theorys.
i dont get it at all.
thanks

but thats not what you said at all, you really are making it up as you go along and trying to make everything fit a blind belief.
just read carefully through the post i quoted and your answer. you've totally contradicted yourself again. also in an earlier post you said that "its not looking good for fiona" yet in that same post you went on to say you believed her and she was telling the truth!. and another post you say you can't dismiss anything until proven but then you've totally dismissed the car because fiona says she wasn't in it! . your posts are just confusion and contradiction over and over again!. how can the evidence be "not looking good for fiona" but shes truthful and you dismiss the evidence!!
thanks

Car (Crysler pt. cruiser) reflection. You can see reflection in 3 pictures. Reflection is moving down if you look up. There is no reflection in two ufopictures because he looking more upwards.

Please stick with debating the topic and refrain from derailing the thread via personal comments.

Thank you.

Why are you no longer with MUFON?
What field of expertise did you contribute to in the research you did?

Please.

This isn't about twophish, MUFORN or anyone/thing else.

This is about Fiona and her sighting.

Speaking frankly here and this isn't directed at anyone in particular. This has been one of the most frustrating threads I've ever been involved in.

Don't get me wrong, there has been some great work here by ATS members, and we were blessed to have Fiona be so accommodating.

But apart from that, bloody hell has there been some crap!

It is what it is, false or not.

Let's hope zaz gleans some more for us or we get a more in depth analysis from the FSME's.

Is she to meet Fiona again? I thought that is what I read a few pages back.
If this is really going to happen, I am excited. 2 members taking it to the
field is an accomplishment of the individuals and for ATS as well. I know you
said that this has nothing to do with MUFON, however, does it. Are they even
aware of this case?

I was on the outskirts of Broken Hill and took a nap at a nearby shack. Came evening time a 'shooting star' fell to the ground in the vicinity around 1km ahead, very close. The light trail dissappeared just before it hit the ground, if it even hit, and there exists a small airport some 5km down. About 5 minutes later a helicopter came to 'investigate', as it hovered above the 'crash' site a UFO suddenly appeared as a bright light, accelerated and dissappeared.

The helicopter then returned to the airport base.

I got the impression that she is.

Not sure if anyone has contacted any of the local UFO groups, I don't think contacting them will add much more to what has already been established here on ATS anyway.
