ATS is full of conspiracy theorist... 90% of ATS is against everything the government does, good or bad.

Yeah probably not a good example. But I think the "polls" are a pretty good portrayal of what's happening. People see the government / corporate machine churning, and most don't like it.

People are angrier about healthcare than they were. The numbers probably haven't changed. The same people who were a little angry are now a lot angry, but being the same people it probably won't change the polls by much.

The fact that you are taking a internet poll from a known biased news network serious makes me sad for the future of humanity.
You really have no idea what your mad about do you, as long as you get to be mad.

Poll, specially ones like these, are NOT good representation of the people and their feelings about things like this.
And the fact that some see them as prove makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
Un FREAKING believable that people buy in to this crud.

I didn't read all the pages, but you can't cite unscientific Internet polls as proof and expect them to be taken seriously. I am sure plenty of people have pointed out how easy they are skewed. Typically, someone makes a post on a site encouraging everyone with similar political leanings to go skew the poll. So, a huge numbers of people from sites such as Free Republic may have voted on the polls while others knew little about it. Of course the same thing happens often on left leaning sites.

I have seen it done more time than I can remember. There is a reason most internet polls have a disclaimer about the fact they are not scientific.

We are not being ignorant or refusing to see the truth. We are simply seeing internet polls for what they are. Entertainment with no real statistical value.

What will be interesting is to see the polls coming out of polling firms using real random samples in the next few weeks. That will give us a much clearer picture on the mood of the nation.

It would have been closer to 98% if it weren't for all those paid BigGov disinfo agents trolling around here.

Since when, in the recent past, has BigGov done anything worthy of support? Dems or Reps, it really dosen't matter. BigGov is beholding to no one except their owners, the Banksters.

All this "health care" bill does is hasten our bankruptcy as a nation. Quite honestly, why not get it over with. Then we can cross that rainbow into the New Age where it's all touchey-feeley good. The NWO will be your friend and lead you into a Brave New World, where Big Brother will tell you how privilaged you are to be a slave to him.

Yes, people are mad as hell...but unlike the movie script...they're willing to take more and more BS from BigGov. Why? Because no one has the fortitude or resolve to revolt.

Yeah, I'm surprised that MSNBC a division of the obama news network is allowing such high numbers against his baby, though it seems they've locked the numbers now, it was the same as last night 67.2 angry. Actually I'm surprised they let the numbers get that high.

I really don't get why all this mess. If this subject is so controversial why don't people simple demand a referendum for it instead of throwing bricks on windows and using violence?

Make that pass trough public voting. The government should have done this already instead of having to deal with all this mass.

Demand and use all the political means first, violence is a last resort. And one that shouldn't be used at all.

1. Demand a referendum

if that doesn't work

2. Start asking for impeachment of the President

Hahaha!

True, lots of noise!

I guess it's just cool to go against something, even if you don't really understand what you're going against.

Now that's right..."work through the system". And, where has that got you for the last 50 years?

I got an idea...why not send a letter to your congressman. That will do wonders, right? Wrong!

People with this mindset will make great hall monitors for Big Brother. Hope your shackels aren't too tight.

I am well aware that I am not always the "sharpest knife in the drawer", but it seems many people have come to the conclusion that the American people are somehow not as important or civilized as those who live in Europe and most other developed countries. They have said on several occasions that health care is not a right but a privilege.

By this do they mean that these other peoples have more of a right to good heath than we Americans? Or, could they mean, we Americans should appreciate the privilege amassing huge debts in our quest to care for our children and elderly as well as ourselves.

I would like to find out how just how many Americans think some type of universal health coverage is desirable. I am not in a position to say how such a program should be structured, but I would be interested in the acceptance of the concept.

It may be that many people are dissatisfied because they see this bill as falling short of what they feel we should have. Maybe we just need more people getting in on a "civilized" dialog.

I voted for Obama. This bill isn't perfect but its something. Its a little bit of change. As promised.

I don't think the Republicans should ever have power again after Bush was in office. Bush RUINED us. GWB is the devil and he completely ruined the american dream. the fact that they arent charged with any of the terrible crimes they commited in office is the surest sign of doom in America. The dems are weak too so lets have other parties. Down with the left and the right. Up with the people.

Many Progressives (who watch MSNBC) are "angry" or disappointed with this bill but for different reasons than your average tea bagger.

Progressives are "angry" because Obama sold out to the health care corporations and did not offer a public option. Most Progressives want a single payer system not this gift to industry.

So where does that fit in with your righteous rage?

It will pass.. Online votes are always those seeking to state they do not want it. People actively seek out places to vent their frustration. In the newspapers (where they most of the time make up facts), its I think last time i heard a 51%+ in agreement towards it.

Come of it, your blind if you actually think its not going to pass as a yes. Welcome to the world. Where Barrack Obama is a God who gave the poor a means to get help. Actually welcome to the rest of the world were free health care is the norm.

All those angry, angry people, darn healthcare reform.

All that money that could go into fueling our fake wars, all the bombs and death that could buy.

healthcare is for sick losers who can't fly to foreign countries for their health care, Carrier battle groups and rocket launchers is where its at!

I know Im mad as the rest.

Because of this wonderful piece of legislation my Health Care Savings Account controbutions are NO LONGER DEDUCTABLE, and my yearly controbutions are LIMITED to $2500 a year!

I have called my reps and senators and get nothing but stupid answers from ignorant interns (they dont know what to say, they have no idea what's in the new law), and there is an arrogance from these congressmen and women...they know they are going against the will of the overwhelming majority of Americans but they simply dont care!

THEY KNOW BETTER THAN US!

I am amazed that the only people that support this bill are those individuals who are under achievers, or are angry at others who have made something of themselves. My question to you is "Why cant you take care of yourselves like adults?" You all gripe about the rich but are content to sit and do nothing yourselves. Many of you have government granted and financed educations but still work at starbucks. Who are you all to tell me I have to pay for your lifestyle?

Ive read postings here claiming that someone making 15 and hour cant afford health insurance...what? Are you kidding? Of course you can...you would simply rather spend your money elsewhere. Its as simple as that.
Dont sit here and give a sob story about all these people who are simply experiencing a bad bit of luck. There are those cases and there is already a system in place to help those in such situations.

The only other examples of this kind of social justice type of legislation I have ever seen have been in socialist nations and communist nations.

America once was the last bastion of the self reliant spirit in the world...thanks to the "hope and changers" who call tea partiers "tea baggers" we are becoming nothing more than a nanny state filled with "little children" who in time wont even be able to wipe their noses with out help from Obama.

I just want to thank all those who voted for Obama and these other morons....thank you so much for your thoughtful and informed voting.

We were warned what this would become and now its happening...God help us all.

Listening this morning to a medical doctor he said, medical doctors are leaving

the practice faster then they are being replaced. He also talked about less and

less students are going into studies that pertain to primary medical care.

Will there be enough doctors to support obama's highly taxed health care

program? I do not think so and will foreign trained medical doctors fill the gap

with American doctors leaving their practice? Will the quality of care suffer

when this continues to happen? Will illegals drain billions and billions of

dollars from tax paying citizens if they are aloud to use the socialistic

healthcare system obama and his administration created? How will it go over

when citizens are forced to pay for healthcare and do not want to or can not

afford to do so? How will small businesses afford to pay for healthcare for

their employees without laying of people? How many businesses will file for

bankruptcy that can not keep paying for their employees healthcare? Will

government bail out these small businesses that can not afford to pay for

health insurance for their employees? I do no think so. ^Y^

Come on. If you needed medical help, yet couldn't afford it... Im sure you would be angry.

If you can afford it, yet don't use it... Why are you paying for it?

Taxes, taxes taxes... Trust me if its not this tax, its another, and another. You won't even notice the difference im sure. Let the poor broken human get some medical help.. Instead of walking past them and telling them "Get a job you bum!".

Some people just have huge barriers preventing them from working. These are the people who should be getting free health care. Those who work of course, and earn a living should of course pay for their own dental, and etc. But when alot of treatments can cost alot... in the thousands then, maybe they can use some help.

Those who work and can afford it, should be paying for a 'subscription' for it. Those who are out of work, but need it... Should be getting it. Being poor isn't easy I assure you, but being out of work, is even harder. Being affordable is another matter of course.

IMO the way the medical industry works, is just like those computer anti-virus companies.... The anti-virus companies create 99% of the viruses out there... To get customers...

The medical industry... Well wont comment on that aspect, but im pretty certain you guys can figure it out urself.

EDITED BTW.

I never said it was fake...I said it was an internet poll that shouldn't be used as an accurate source.

Or not...ATS no longer cares about facts...it's sad.

Well, this is a conspiracy site after all... On the other hand, the Left has NEVER dealt in facts. The Left lives in a Peter Pan world of its own construction where people are "children" until age 26 and it's okay if you don't want to work, everyone else will pitch in to cover your expenses. It's a good thing only about 22% of Americans fall into the "Left" category. I'm a Darwinian, and therefore I know that organisms that have traits detrimental to their survival eventually die out. I can wait.
