More than once he says "provision" not "purchase". Why on earth would he refer to a territorial purchase that occurred in 1803???

Obama sure is HARP happy. No matter how you interpret what he said it makes for good conspiracy speculations. If he was talking about Haiti it could mean they have plans to make it a state.

My friend, you should pay attention before you panic and alert people... it causes alot of nonsense. Obama is referring to Hawaii in past tense. like others have posted probably referring to the 2006 earthquake.

This interview was today sir. He was saying that Louisiana AND Hawaii are both going to profit from the $300 million Mary Landrieu prostituted herself for BECAUSE Hawaii had an EARTHQUAKE!!! NOT a tsunami...big difference. Why would he think a tsunami ALERT would require disaster relief???

Okay, let's approach this with a little healthy skepticism. I'm pretty sure he was talking about either the Chilean quake, tsunami thing, or the large quake that occured four years ago. Something to that effect.

Either way, I've been monitoring the earthquakes going on in the world on earthquake.usgs.gov...

I regularly visit that site and made it my home page since the 8.8 in Chile. Over the past couple of weeks there have been a recent spike in small magnitude quakes in Hawaii that I never seen before. I used to not ever see any quakes in Hawaii, especially not so frequently. There would usually be a little over a 2 magnitude ever 10 days or so, but if you'll look at the map there's four over 2 mag quakes in one week.

I find it weird that Obama would say 'which went through an earthquake' that is a bit of a mouth-full to be just a stutter.

C'mon, though, everyone get out of Hawaii? Not trying to be too critical, but I don't think that this is a situation of that magnitude. Eh hem, sorry, couldn't resist.

To the OP: I appreciate what you are trying to do here, but I think you fail to realize that Obama doesn't get all the Intel that we think a President does receive. Whomever is controlling HAARP, as your assertion dictates, certainly wouldn't inform the President, "Oh, by the way, we are going to use this weather controlling device on one of our own states so that we can fuel more debt into the system."

Realistically speaking, if they were going to use HAARP on our own states, why would the powers that be tell the President? Come on man, think!

I read all the posts and I did not need to check your link because I watched the interview in whole. I absolutely love this website, I find it quite interesting and I sometimes get giggles at some of the posts. My point was, as others have stated, "you are trying to start a panic under false information." My brother suffers with schizophrenia and he also visits this site. He calls me all the time to tell me how the world is going to end or Obama is going to kill us. Come on!! Let's just be honest and factual. A little more research will go a long way and prevent issues like this.

One thing's for sure, no matter what he meant to say, he better hope and pray that nothing happen's to Hawaii, by pure chance, or he's gonna look very suspicious, and this forum here, will go crazy.....

Mohamed Sassi of The Petroleum Institute in Abu Dabi (United Arab Emirates) and colleagues, Mohamed Hamdi and Hamaid Bentîcha, at the National School of Engineers of Monastir (Tunisia), explain that flameless combustion, or more precisely flameless oxidation (FLOX), has become a focus of industrial research. It has, they say, the potential to avoid one of the major noxious pollutants from gas turbines, NOx, or nitrogen oxides.

In flameless combustion, the oxidation of fuel occurs with a very limited oxygen supply at very high temperature. Spontaneous ignition occurs and progresses with no visible or audible signs of the flames usually associated with burning. The chemical reaction zone is quite diffuse, explains Sassi, and this leads to almost uniform heat release and a smooth temperature profile. All these factors could result in a much more efficient process as well as reducing emissions.

The team has now modeled flameless combustion in a so-called adiabatic combustor, of the kind typically used in gas turbine engines in which methane is burned to drive a turbine for electricity production. They carried out detailed calculations of reaction rates and have analyzed the chemical reactions taking place. "The main objective of our study was to provide a fundamental understanding of the physical and chemical processes that occur during combustion in high-temperature air or exhaust gases with a low content of oxygen," explains Sassi.

The results of the team's simulations clearly show that even at high operating temperatures and pressures, NOx emissions are reduced to very low levels, suggesting that flameless combustion could become an effective way of ameliorating pollution in power generation.

Just a minute ago Rush Limbaugh played this audio clip. I got excited and turned up the radio. Would he actually mention something like a conspiracy?....... No. He's upset that this provision was only intended for LA and not any other states.

Off topic, I used to listen to Rush to understand the spin the right was putting on everything. Now, in this wacky administration, I listen to Rush to get the rare truth in mass media. And yes I did vote for Hope.
