The way I understand the tax law is as follows :

No, say you make $50 doing a small moving job cash only you do not have to report it.

Your employer by law must submit income taxes on behalf of it's workforce and the company has the authourity to dock your wages to make up for the tax money spent on behalf of you so that it can cover it's operating costs.

Say, I'm your employer and I get charged $125 out of your $350 cheque, I am charged the $125 and can pass the cost on to you so that my overhead is covered.

All international tax money generated goes to The International Monetary Fund which is supposed to finance things like Nation building, global climate issues, a storehouse for some nations,

If the taxes we were paying were being used for what they should be nobody would care if there was a law or not. I think the fact that our money is going to everything BUT what is needed is what is pissing people off.

Our taxes should go to helping the economy recover, building jobs, restoring the "painted rust", improving education, and having efficient but not overly done national security. We could be helping small businesses and in turn creating more jobs, but TPTB want to spend all our taxes on things like War, Wars, War again, then toss in HCR and we have were we are at today. I could think of many more things, but add up the cost of wars we have fought in the past 20 years and it will rival what has been payed in taxes. That's why we have a 120 trillion dollar debt. Sure medicare and S.S. are heavy contributors, but the wars are literally killing us.

"In 2007, individual income taxes collected were $1.16 trillion. The estimated amount for 2008 is $1.22 trillion and $1.259 trillion in 2009."

"Total Cost of Wars Since 2001 - $973,659,925,020."

Sadly the government has it set up where everyone pays taxes pretty much automatically. Even if you could get out of paying some taxes, you will never be able to avoid most. Try to buy ANYTHING...You can't escape taxes in the U.S. don't even bother trying.

I guess you could say the law is if you want to buy anything...you have to pay taxes. And try not paying your property taxes...you will see that doesn't go over too well.
