Hoax broadcast causes panic in Georgia

My personal beliefs are that i think that russia is planning to eventually take over europe once the EU falls ( which in my opinion wont be long) I think that the Georgians are just pawns in the power struggle going on between east and west, its all a powerplay, and wouldnt be surprised if the FSA staged the whole thing. If i were Georgian id want to be independant of all countries but unfortunatly where they are on the map its either one orthe other (russia or nato) and both dont really care about the people just military straegical positions You see its very hard for ex ussr states because they are hated by russians and shunned by the west, they are used as tools for things like the nato missile defense row. These states need protection from being swallowed up again, but their choice is join russia or be seduced by nato ( without the possibility of becoming a nato state) Either way they will never be independant, the idea of independance is nice but its an idea. The americans thought they had independance fron the bank of england but in 1913 they found out that independance is just an idea.The reason i mentioned religion is because the Georgians are orthodox christians and they are god fearing people. so IMO they will look at scriptures like the one quoted.But this s just my opinion

Where is your righteous indignation. Everybody gave Charlie Sheen what for for pretending he'd talked with Obama. The government of Georgia should be at least as responsible. At least he owned up that it was for effect within a few hours. We should take lying more seriously. Charlie Sheen lost his credibility. But Georgia doesn't. And Obama, the liar in chief, is totally a law to himself. no make that a reality to himself. He declared swine flu to be a national emergency to make money for his friends, and himself as he owns stock in Baxter. He abused his office, people died who wouldn't have because he abused his power. People reacted to the vaccine. There was a captain & first officer who died, on a Navy ship that was being "hired" by Vical for experiments with swine flu vaccine. Join the Navy for a career as a medical guinea pig. And a lot of pregnant women lost their babies because of that vaccine.
They will lie if we let them They will scare us into submission, if we let them.

Isn't this an instance where a government is permitted to lie to obtain some advantage. For Georgia they wanted invasion preparedness, for Obama to make money. Look at the global warming hoax. It is another hoax where the govt tries to get people upset to get a particular reaction out of them.
Furthermore those shots are not safe. The 1919 pandemic was caused by innoculations. They weren't against flu, but against typhoid, malaria, etc. The doctors were reluctant to blame the deaths on the shots and voila we have a huge vaccination industry making money out of their own villany. You research vaccines. It's not a pretty picture. But you are right, we are getting off topic. I only mentioned it as an example of Obama the liar using fear tactics to scare us into something bad for us. At least there weren't reports of Georgians who died as a result of the hoax.

From what certains analysts said, this could be a prelude of another georgian try to take over South Ossetia by force.

I doubt that, but you never know what crazy Saakashvilli will do.

Anyway, this isn't a good joke. I doubt it was even a joke, I think it was propaganda for the failing Saakashvilli regime, since this TV station is owned by them.

Kinda like the propaganda in the US about ``we must support Bush otherwise we'll have terrorists attacks BS...`` this kind of propaganda.

The government didn't broadcast this hoax, it was a private television/radio station in Georgia called Imedi TV. Can you explain to me what this has to do with the Georgian or Russian governments? Also, what do flu shots have to do with this topic?

I'm no fan of Saakashvili, but spreading lies about him "owning" this private television station is irresponsible. He doesn't own it at all. In fact, the owner of Imedi TV is a loud critic of Saakashvili.

Trust me, having grown up on Russian news (and still reading it daily), you can't trust the political section. Unlike the United States, most Russian news agencies are arms of the Kremlin or FSB, especially ITAR-TASS and Lenta. The only source that seems even mildly detached from the government is Argumenti i Facti.

this could easily happen in north america or any other part of the world!

I've heard so many stories that the government is going to plan an alien invasion with Haarp. So citizens will see alien crafts in the air, and think there own god is talking to them from within there head.

This is just one step closer to Absolute Control.

I was thinking something similar, this looks like a possible (govt TV) test run to see how people react in real-time. Georgia being the US oligarchs puppet, a perfect testing ground.

The topic is not a tv broadcast, the topic is the government lying to the citizens (through the govt-controlled TV)to scare them into some program. Exactly the same thing. Also the video mentioned that the Georgian TV was under the control of the government. MSM is a government propaganda machine and tells whatever lies the govt wants and keeps pretending their lies are true. It's like an alternative reality. Living a lie.

Please review both the title of this thread and the original post. The topic is a television broadcast on Imedi TV of a fake Russian invasion in Georgia which caused a panic.

Seems like a test of sorts, gauge reaction...or create a diversion, look this way, as we do this over here. I've always wondered if the "War of the WOrlds broadcast" back in 1938 was really just an assesment of public reaction to a future probability.

I too agree. As a protest I am ignoring this user who advocated censorship from now on.

I think Georgia is a proxy country for someone else s war.
The three TV channels as mentioned belong to the government one way or the other. The government won't punish the perpetrators. Why should any people have faith to such governments? Too bad the man that specializes in colored revolutions, (and in bringing down countries economies) won't work out a deal for this government to be removed i think. Could it be because, the current situation might suit their needs? Whose needs? Probably Israel.

Who are you referring to as a "loud critic of Saakashvili"?

Imedi used to be owned by Badri Patarkatsishvili, who you might call a critic of Saakashvili to an extent. However that was before Patarkatsishvili died, under somewhat questionable circumstances. The Georgian government has long tried to gain control of the Imedi media network, and had shut it down for some time. After the Patarkatsishvili's death it is not clear who the legal owner is, but judging by the biased broadcasts it looks like it is someone who supports Saakashvili if not the government itself.

It seems to me like the original goal of this broadcast was to support Saakashvili and rally the people behind him, but it backfired badly. There is no way that Saakashvili didn't know about it ahead of time.
