Like I said before, if you live in the western world, you already carry one, possibly 2. And there have been no cyber attacks. There have been no attempts to track every move.

It can be used to follow your every move. Those things can be read from 65 ft away using the right equipment (this has been demonstrated), and with the right equipment the chips movement can be tracked. For instance, it would be rather trivial to have an array of readers at intersections, stops, along highways that would constantly read chips as they passed by, report those location readings to a central data aggregator, and a fair representation of that persons movements can be created from that information.

True, it doesn't follow your move, but it can be used to follow your move.

Then there's the problem of identity theft which the chip would actually make easier. It's trivial to read these devices, and once read they can be cloned. Someone could clone someone elses chip then commit an action where their movements would be followed only they are using the other persons chip to begin with, and the powers that be would be convinced the person who's chip was cloned had committed the crime. This also can be used with credit/debit cards to make payment for goods/services with someone elses payment information.

RFID chips are wide open to all kinds of abuses.

wrong...its not a passport...if it was..why are these things also being introduced in britain..and germany...?...have they also got no passports?

I too believe this to be so, that is why all the foot dragging of late on securing the border and stopping the flow of immigrants into this country. Wonder how many will just accept the new card with no protest? Far as I am concerned, they can shove it where the Sun don't not shine.

I'm building an army of people right now to do just that and it grows every day. If you argue with people on ATS instead of taking action and telling everybody you can reach through personal contact and through tools such as facebook you are falling into their trap of hopelessness and inaction. Be a part of destroying the new world order and tell somebody new about them every single day. Get business cards and hand them out to everybody you meet and send them to your own site or a site you like. Nothing else matters right now but how many people you can save from their brainwashing and bring over to the good side of the force. Never let anybody stop you from that. I agree that governments have the potential to slide into corruption by their slimy hidden agendas. Though there comes a point in time, that we may need to sacrifice our something for the greater good.

There is a news video on youtube that talks about it. That is how i know the chip causes cancer and likely other things as well. I saw it on the news, besides its a foreign plastic not already in our bodies. The human body surely will react in some way.

Public opinion does work Saturn. Just look at the Health Care debacle. One Party controls the entire government and they can't pass Health Care. Why? Because of Public opinion. In other words; bitching works.

We need to yell louder and louder until they shake in their boots.

It won't happen. Public opinion is too strong. This and most other things in the news lately are to divert attention from what they are getting ready to do with the Health Care travesty. They know that anyone paying attention will never vote for them again so they work to divert our attention with other emotional issues. It will work too.

They even had Rep. Kennedy on the podium screaming like a madman yesterday to draw in the camera's. Classic ploy. Massa, Kennedy and none of this is by accident. Expect more diversionary stuff over the next few days.

They absolutely ARE in your passports(if you have a newer one) as well as your debit and credit cards.

In the state of Texas some yahoo representative proposed that the RFID chip be put on our car inspection stickers.

I was on the phone every day to my local district representative and her aides as to how this was wrong and an abridgement to our freedom.

I was not the only one who did this.

Guess what?...

We never got that damn inspection sticker when all of the pissed off Texans made their voices heard.

There is power in our voice people. All you have to do is conduct a search for your local representative on the internet. You can also contact your senator's office as this is listed on the interent too.

If enough of us let it be known that we will not take this then we can stall or even stop this kind of insanity.

I'll ignore the unnecessary anti-American slams and focus on the problem here: passports are fine for requiring me to prove citizenship to re-enter the US. We can live with that. But I cannot abide by another gradual erosion of personal freedom. The government is proposing yet another law whereby the burden is upon we the citizens to prove who we are at the request of one of its agents at its time and choosing. "Sir, please present your federal ID card." This smacks of a police-state. Those who love freedom and liberty will see this for what it is: abhorrent to both.

Got my " Hacked " Version of that New Gov. I.D. Card today from a friend of mine , just Beta Release he said . I dunno though , I could of Sworn that I was intitled to more than 2 Packs of Federal Plastic Cheese a week according to this Damn thing ! .. Praise Big Brother , he's doing a Hell of a Job for all of us . PRAISE HIM ! .................

my question is how do you as an american ID your self ?

do people just have to take your word for who you are or do you have valid means at this point ?
