You said antibiotics are a bad thing, due to them "changing human evolution". I showed how lots of other things, things that are either necessary for life, or which have helped far more people than they have hurt (and which are all optional), also change human evolution.

No, that's how it would have worked if volition and therefore cultural evolution would not interfere with all the given selective factors (or "natural factors" as the laymen say)

You still have not replied to my set of questions abotu medications. Very revealing

Still lets be clear, my immune system genes devloped perfectly fine, i just happened to encounter a disease that my immune system was not geared to deal with, or it could be i had been exposed to something else which my immune system defeated and therefore i was weakened at the time a new bacteria came along. You see it's not all about genes, random chance can mess things up.

I will ask again, have you never used any medication or vacination?

Yes, and 10,000 children in the US were born with abnormalities because of it. Thalidomide does, however, work well as a sleeping tablet. If someone is not pregnant, then their kids won't be affected by it.

Or are you saying that because some medicines have unforeseen side-effects, that we should just "stop" modern medicine and every time we get sick run into the forest and rub lichen on ourselves??

It is also being trialed as a medication against certain incurable cancers, more specifically blood cancers. A three month use of the drug seems to massively reduce cancer cells and then they can go six months without using it. Off and on, prolonging their lives massively.

Firstly lets be fair and understand that most modern medicines come from natural sources. I mean tamiflu comes from star anise, or at last one chemical component comes from star anise

Still your point is one he won't answer. Has he ever used any modern medicine? If he has then he should be quiet and get the hell out of this thread. If he hasn't then in future when he needs it (and he will) he should refuse all treatment. I am willing to bet he'll happily receive the treatment though

Yep i am now really thinking you've had to much to drink because this made absolutely no sense, you did not reply to anything i said and basically you are showing yourself up. You have had a go at evolution and yet you talk about a positive evolutionary direction.

Well maybe it's alcohol but as you used the word peace maybe it's dope you're on. I have no issue with the use of either drug but neither is conducive with debate.

I ask you again, because you seem to be ignoring it. Why is it that human beings, generally lived only 30-40 years a couple of hundred years ago. Now they often live to 80 and people of 100-110 are common.

Modern medicine is the reason.

This is only because of slavery and industrial revolution.
Most American Indian chiefs lived long lives unless they died in battle or wounds. Poor hygene was the biggest killer in the world and most likley still is , in third world countries,

No sorry donny this isn't true, before the settlers arrived the natives were dying long before 60. Some would last to 60, they were insanely lucky. However all we have to do is look at the average life expectancy. It has increased steadily as modern medicine has become more advanced.

But hey why don't you check out other countries who were also living in the same sort of circumstances.

Average age of 30 years. These were people who farmed, who were not exposed to chemicals, who died simply because they worked the land, incredibly hardy people with no medical backup.

Kings and queens tended to live longer as they had luxury, the cleanest food, generally free of injury and no hard work.

Firstly i have already addressed many of your ignorant ideas about evolution. Secondly you are once again avoiding a ton of questions that have been put to you. Sir you are dishonest, you avoid anything you cannot counter in the hope others will forget it was asked.

I have time and again replied to your ignorant ideas regarding evolution and you have yet to reply to such things. I am tired of it and while i am happy to debate you on evolution i have the rather sinking feeling that any points i make will be ignored, avoided and dismissed without evidence.
