TextThey had to use porn, huh? They couldn't have used their brains and said "Hey let's have them trade their Bibles, books about intelligent design, in for books on Darwinism or Evolution of Species."

You don't really think the pastors would allow christians to read something like Dawkins@ The God Delusion ?

C'mon dude the majority of people that come themselves Christians haven't read a bible let alone a work of non fiction without any pictures.

Here's a tip to boost your bible sales (sorry forgot they have to be given away) , get some pictures of Lot humping his 2 daughters or Jesus doing some uphill gardening with the naked young man etc now that would tickle the imagination of some.

Hey look, It doesn't matter if you agree with me or not. It doesn't matter if you think my premises are in line with reality. It's not my job to argue you into believing the Bible. All I am doing is making a defense. I'm telling you what is true and you have a choice to believe it or not. to argue with you based on your worldview would only give you the upperhand and deny me explanatory power. Why would I do that? The Bible is the power unto salvation

Living in peace and harmony with fellow man is only a tiny piece of that...and based on the true definition of morality I would have to say that athesit (especially those that battle against God) are the most immoral people that walk the earth, but I still love you anyway.

Who the hell do you think you are ? Please do not love me, you don't know me and I certainly don't want the love of someone who would have such arrogance to dictate to me how immoral I am because I don't share their delusion.


And let's get this straight no one is battling against a god, there is no evidence of your god there's no one to battle it is something conjured up in your deluded mind.

It seems to me that Atheism has become the worlds newest organized religion. Atheist speak out against religion becuase they as do myself find it damaging to the human mind. Though i dont agree with the porn for bibles deal.That does nothing but spread negativity.

Sadly, I will never be able to hear the phrase "Turn the other cheek" and not think of this thread.

If the goal of the event was to create a buzz, at 12 pages and counting, I'd say it worked.

M. If the member had real faith he/she would by the convert something like like Hitchens or Dawkins "and" lend them a bible.

Come to think of it, why on earth does a church need a book store, how many books did your god write/inspire ?

It has taken months for me to go from loathing you to liking
you.

Our bookstore sells christian literature and music.We also sell
candy to fund the youth activities.We are planning a rummage
sale so some kids can go to camp this summer.

lol yea. The sign said free bibles with no strings attached so they couldn't exactly refuse to give it to me. Besides I already had it in my hands and was walking away.

And I don't think I'd trade it. I do use my bible; it's not as easy to debate about it when you don't have one.

The Bible contains pornographic imagery. You can try to explain that away as "abominations to God" according to your belief, but the fact still stands.

BTW, have you ever heard of pornographic novels?

How come atheists seem to believe that porn is cool? Even putting it against the Bible, should't be considered cool and in fact it isn't.
People just use porn because, lets face it they either don't have what it takes anymore to date or they are too afraid of real dating. One other category is married people, but yet again if you can have a successful marriage you wouldn't have much use of porn right?

So atheists want the populace, at least the young students to just sit and wank peacefully in a corner much like what religions supposedly (according to atheists) would.
So, then atheists are in to control and restriction of the sexuality of teenagers as much as any other religion is, right?

Why should then a conscious teenager choose atheism vs any religion?
If this isn't a clear evidence that organized atheism promotes certain agendas, I don't know what is.
