But, because of my view of it, it creates a paradigm that a piece of humanity is being packaged and sold, and humanity being sold always worries me.
I'm not really shocked by this. Why would I be shocked by the actions of people that have no moral compass.

It shows that you have a lack of imagination. I guess I can see why you could not see the Bible as a pornographic book.
Q: What the hell do you think you’re doing?
A: We’ve set up a table where people can stop by and donate their religious reading material and – if they desire, and if they are old enough – receive a number of porn magazines. This can include fundamental texts like the Koran, the Bible, or Dianetics; religious apologia and self-help like Warren’s The Purpose-Driven Life and Lewis’s Mere Christianity; or those unnerving little tracts that Jack Chick makes.
Q: Why would you do such a thing?
A: It’s symbolic. Pornography is vilified by the religious community, but in reality the values espoused by religious doctrine are far more reprehensible. So, in effect, it’s trading something appalling for something less appalling. We also like to get people to think, to talk to us, and to debate with us. That only works when they understand just what we’re doing, hence this FAQ.
So they have no respect for the Bible on a religious level.
I imagine their childish desecreation of the books they do collect, speaks volumes to how much they actually know,. about what they are doing
If the book only existed in a dig somewhere in Iraq and was dicovered by these flakes tomorrow.
If I were near them I'd have to stop by and see how they man up.

I'm sorry, no moral compass? Then why are atheists not going out and raping, killing, stealing and other horrible crimes? Why do many atheists consider murder a terrible act if we have no moral compass?
Logic fail.
EDIT
To illustrate this point

In **1997**, the Federal Bureau of Prisons released the professed religious adherence rate of those in the U.S. Federal Prison system.
Christians make up about 80% of the American population AND prison population.
However, Atheists make up about 8% of the American population but only 0.2% of the prison population.
Damn atheists and their lack of law breaking!

You think morals are based on what you don't do?
I think it's very ironic that people steal morals from the Bible.
What you don't realize is that the grossiest of immorality is to deny the Creator.
Why are some of these atheist movements as looney as some religious movements.

And for all the people who take atheists trading making a statement by trading smut for bibles and extrapolate it and go on to say "Why do atheists have to attack my beliefs? Why would they even talk about religion? Why would they do anything with a belief based on nothing?" You probably need to see things from the other side.
This remind me a lot of poopstorm that came about because of the atheist billboards. I don't understand how people could possibly be personally offended by this kind of thing, by some idiots trolling believers at a college. Do you realise how silly you look, those of you who get so offended?
This is an older video about the atheist billboards, but I think the message translates to this discussion too.
Why is non-believers doing, thinking, saying what non-belivers would do, think, say offensive to people who do believe?

This is the most common sense smart intelligent non crazy comment in this entire discussion.Keep it up

It amazes me how easy it is for some people to stereotype an entire group, in this case atheists, based on a single incident by a handful of college kids. That's like someone stereotyping all Christians as religious zealots or all Muslims as terrorists.
Come on people, take it for the singular incident that it is and quit trying to paint groups of people who may not necessarily share your views with unjustly broad brush strokes.
HAHAHHA,awesome man..

WOW! Sounds like a great opportunity.
If the asset value of the magazines is 10% more than the value of the Bibles, say...
-> 1. Swap 10 Boble for 10 porno mags
-> 2. Go on Ebay and sell the porno mags and buy 11 Bibles.
-> 3. Go back to step one and repeat the loop 10,000,000 times.
-> 4. Use your 10,000,000,000 Bibles, paid for by the Atheists to convert a few million Muslims and Atheists.
-> 5. Retire to the Bahamas, knowing you've achieved a job well done and that atheists is merely another term for DUMB SUCKER..
Actually, basic morals are written on the heart, but the author and originator is God. Further, no one can believe in the Messiah unless God allows them to. God gives people the ability to believe and He gives them the Holy Spirit to confirm their beliefs. No one is "screwed." All you have to do is pray that God would give you the ability to believe. Give you eyes to see and ears to hear.

That is not what morals are. "Morality" in the highest form of definition means doing that which brings the most glory to the one that Created you.
