Time of day that 2012 event will likely occur.

Assuming that there will be a major event on December 21 2012, is there any indication as to when on that day it will occur? I assume that it doesn't occur at midnight GMT.

I am trying to remember. I know it was in the AM near 11:00 but I don't know what time zone. Thats when something is supposed to happen. My hunch is if you are not involved you won't even know anything happened.

Yes, it was a long time ago that I read about it. If I remember right, it was 11:11:11 AM the morning of Dec. 21, 2012.

I would say it will occur at exactly 9:11, no make that 9:12 AM.

I wonder how many Oprah viewers will be upset on that day.

If a herd of 1000 elephants was charging towards you (from lets say a mile away) how likely would it be that you would only be aware of a problem 1 second before you got trampled?

We are not passing through the galactic plane in 2012, nor anytime soon. We are north of it and continue to move farther north every year.

Obviously its 8:12pm.

Anyway lets just base this on UTC for the moment.

if "it" occured at 11:11:11 Zulu for example on 21.Dec.2012 this would mean that in the Christmas Islands it is already 01:11:11 22.Dec.2012.

In which case, all the people on that side of the world, would be breathing a huge sigh of relief! and then bang!!!! Not to mention the people on the other side of the date line who would find things going bad on the 20.Dec.2012. In which case they were short changed and he gods owe then 24 hours!

I also find it odd that the old mayan calendar, as based on the transition of the sun, moon and stars, would pick a cardinal point of the sun transition from waning to waxing. Further given the cyclical nature of their caladar, just like the moon, seasons and everything else on this blue spec. leads me to suugest that this is not "the end" of the calandar but the beginning of a new cycle. Which is really pleasing for me, as the age of Piscies has been a pain in the butt!

I'm not sure about the exact time the "event" is supposed to occur, however the mayans made effort to make their cycle end the precise moment that the sun passes over the dark rift in the milky-way.

Basically, at this moment, from our earthly perspective, the earth, the sun, and the galactic center will be aligned.

I read a book about it, and from what I remember, this occurs when the sun is at it's highest point in the sky, so I would assume it would be sometime between 11:00AM and 1:00PM in the same time-zone as mexico.

....and for the longest time I believed we were and I thought it was the whole entering the age of Aquarius dealio and we would be trying to bust through immense cosmic inertia forces at that time which would activate even the most dormant volcanoes and fault lines etc etc!?!

I have also heard around 11:00 a.m., but we should be on the look out for anytime between 9:30 and 11:30.

I did much research on 2012, but it's been a couple of years ago, so I won't post a source for this, but this is what I discovered. Neither do I recall a time zone being given, but it seemed to be at least U.S. time, if not a specific zone.

It is supposedly 11:11am UTC. I remember being plagued by 11:11 sightings day and night and then while reading about the Mayans I found out that 11:11am was the exact moment the calendar cycles over. Let's just say I had to re-read that part a few times before allowing it to sink in. It was one of many moments where it seemed something is trying to send us a message. Like, "duh! this is IT" message.

.....and then the rabbit hole just goes deeper.

Thanks for that link! I never heard of The Ezekiel Code but that title alone has very deep meaning to me which goes back to my early childhood. Very interesting since it is about synchronicity and the acto of discovering the book (via your post in this forum) is synchronistic to me in the first place.

Cannot wait to give it a read. I suspect it will take me further down the path.

It takes 36 years to pass through the plane of the galaxy. We are not out of it yet, even though we are on an upswing, as can be told by the view of the galaxy sinking below the horizon...

The time given is 11:11 UTC, the exact moment of the solstice as mentioned above.

Being that this is Mayan time we are dealing with, we need to go with current Cancun time, which is basically considered Central time.
