Plane crashes into Austin building

ejonshepard @brezhette and now they are reporting that a plane on the way to Austin was diverted bc of a bomb threat...WTF

(Can anyone confirm that?)

This is being labelled as the "right wing extremist" style attack.

guys here's the live feed from the fox austin station-they're saying this is an IRS building that was hit, and that it was intentional-not a terrorist hit per se, just an angry pilot. he may have also set his own house on fire beforehand. www.myfoxaustin.com...

KVUE’s Noelle Newton reports most of the windows are blown out. People were evacuated. At least 3 people have been taken to University medical Center at Brackenridge. A witness told KVUE that it didn't appear the plane was having any trouble before it crashed, but it was flying very low.

Some witnesses reported that they thought the plane was headed for their building. Witnesses say the impact felt like an explosion.

I don't know if it's of any importance but this part of the article popped out at me 'Some witnesses reported that they thought the plane was headed for their building. Witnesses say the impact felt like an explosion.' So he was flying low in a major city, seems pretty strange or just plain stupid. And they said it felt like an explosion, would this be expected or is it something stranger?

Does this mean im gonna have a delay on my tax return? NOOOOOOO

A small plane just crashed into a small building...why does this doom us all?

all CNN is saying is that a house is burning in Austin, not that he did it. I wonder if it was a bank owned house.

Also, CNN is saying they were not flying a flight path, but Fox news is saying they are, which is what would make it seem like an accident.

and CNN just cut off when they were about to talk about the house fire!!! WTF! anyone else catch that?

update: CNN confirms he set his house on fire and then stole the building, and flew into the building according to a federal official.

Feeling like an explosion because it was an explosion of 50 gallons of fuel. Now if there are multiple other explosions fuel only catches fire once...then you would have a conspiracy.

Yes, I heard that too. I also wondered if the person got the wrong building.

They say this building may have also had government offices in it though, but wouldn't say what. I wonder what was in the bldg that they're keeping quiet about.

Because for the size of plane and the type of building it should not have been that bad, even if it was 100% full with fuel. Add to that all of the federal buildings there, especially the FBI building next door to it. Then immediately they said it was not a terrorist, how do they know? Do they know the guy who was flying the plane already? I highly doubt it! If it is declared a terrorist attack the Repubs will have a field day!

No one said it definitely wasn't a terrorist attack. Here is the exact quote I got off of CNN

"At this time we have no reason to believe there is a nexus to criminal or terrorist activity," said Matt Chandler, spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security. "We are in the process of coordinating with state officials and other federal partners to gather more information and at this time we will defer additional questions to local officials and the FAA."

What do you want him to say? He said the right thing....RIGHT NOW there is no reason to believe it is terrorist activity...RIGHT NOW there is no reason to believe ANYTHING.

Let's just all wait and get the details instead of immediately cry CONSPIRACY.

TPTB should have never flown those planes into buildings on 9/11.

MSNBC just had a report from an eye witness who is also a private pilot and said it was unquestionably a Cherokee 140 and that it was going about as fast as those 140s go.

FOX7 are reporting the area is now being declared a "crime scene"

Fears raise that it is an attack on the IRS or CIA.

cnn is reporting that this guy set hes house on fire and stole this plane and crashed it. IMHO he was after the irs.

This is total spec. on my part but it sounds right.
